He stood slowly, his arm tucked neatly under his shirt. The bulge over his abdomen gave away the fact that it was still there. He nodded at her. "If you want it to, it will."

"Sure. Let me know when it's ready and I'll come get it?"
She glanced up at him and gave him a half-hearted smile.

Seph nodded and stepped into the main room, passing through and entering the kitchen. He whistled a bit, pulling down a mug. He proceeded to make a mug of hot cocoa. He'd start on the food later. When it was done, he lifted the kitchen window. "Eli? It's ready!"

She got up and looked at the ball of flame.
Hmm... I wonder if this will go out on it's own....
Not knowing the answer, but not having any way to extinguish it she shrugged and went inside to get her cocoa. She sat down at the table, in a seat across from the stove.
"So whatcha gonna make?"

The ball of fire followed her in, landing on the stove, igniting one of the hotplates. He handed her the hot cocoa. "Well, soup of course, since it's about the only thing I can guarantee will come out alright." He looked back to the stove, lighting the other hotplates. "Other than thaaaat, I don't know. What would you like?"

"I don't know... soup's fine with me...." she trailed off again, paused for a moment then said, "I guess I've been thinking to much to think about simple decisions like what to eat."
She forced a smile again.

He looked back at her and smiled. "Been a lot to think about, I take it?" He turned back to the stove, preparing to begin the soup.

"Not so much alot as just the same things popping up and never being resolved." She stared down at her mug, swirling the cocoa around in it, almost entranced by it for a moment.

He nodded softly. "I know all about those kinds of 'things'." He smiled and began to make the soup, adding veggies and broth, and the like. "Anything I can help resolve?"

"Well... I don't know... it's just.... I-"
She paused for a moment, looked up at him, and said "I just don't think I really should stay here. You probably should have just left me in the forest that one night. I'm sure I'd have woken up and made it back to my parent's house or something."
She looked back down at her cocoa before he could turn and look her in the eye.

He nodded his head to the side, then looked over his shoulder to Eli. "Why do you say that?"

"I don't belong here. I don't know any of you guys. I've been here for nearly a month and I still don't know you guys. Sure I know your names and faces but that's it. I came here to find out about grandpa's mask. I stayed because Neko seemed to think it would be a waste to let grandpa's bloodline go untrained, and yet it still is. He just doesn't have the time for me. No one does."
By this time, tears wear slowly dripping down her face. She'd kept her face down though, staring at the cocoa, not wanting to look up at Seph. She hated crying in front of other people, but she just couldn't help it.

He turned around and walked to the table, placing a bowl of hot vegetable soup in front of her with a spoon. His arm was still hidden away, his other hand placed on her shoulder. "I'm sorry, Eli.." He said softly, sitting down opposite her. "We have been kind of caught up in ourselves, haven't we..?" He leaned back and sighed.

Nyl came into the kitchen, humming quietly. She stopped when she noticed the scene and took a step back toward the door.
"I seem to have interrupted something. My apologies."

"And why shouldn't you be? I'm not part of this place, why should any of you bother with me?"
She shifted her gaze from her mug to the soup that had been set down next to it, and moved it all the way in front of her. She picked up the spoon, but simply played with the vegetables floating around in it, not eating any of it just yet. She barely noticed that Nyl had come in.
