Femi who had been doing her best to get away cooed happly when she heard her father "DADA!" she yelled and crawled twards him the rope still around her. "Femi!" rei yelled and rushed over to her little girl. Scooping up femi she quickly got the rope off "Oh my baby I was so worried!" kek squeeked and hugged his sister.

Mariku had rushed forward shortly after Femi had called out. He targeted the thief, who he knew was supposed to be dead. Grabbing his throat in one hand, he held his own long dagger in the other, and pinned Bakura against the wall. "How sweet. Normally I'd play with you a little bit, but right now I'm in a bit of a rush." He said, his blade digging against Bakura's throat. He pressed in quickly, hurting Bakura in the same way the thief had hurt Seto. The blade went up through the underside of Bakura's jaw, through his tongue, and the tip of it barely pierced the roof of his mouth. Mariku smirked slightly. "And I would let you say goodbye, but looks like you're speechless." He sneered, before bringing his dagger up violently.
The blade, with most of Mariku's strength behind it, went up through the roof of Bakura's mouth and buried itself in Bakura's brain. Bakura had tensed after being grabbed, but now his body went slack, though his eyes remained widened slightly. He died almost instantaneously, and Mariku, seeing that his job was done, ripped the blade out and let Bakura's body fall to the ground.

Rei Screamed when she saw this happen "BAKURA!" With both children in her arms she rushed to his body tears pouring down her face.

"Hmph. If he knew what was good for him, he would have died the first time." Mariku grumbled, edging away from the body. He knew that Rei hit hard sometimes, and just wanted to get out of there right now. However, the guards had come at this point, and were blocking off the hallways. Bakura was, unmistakeably, dead. Blood fan from the corners of his mouth, and his eyes stared blankly to the side. He didn't breathe, didn't blink, didn't move. Blood had pooled around his head.

Rei although it was ovious couldent belive he was dead. Death just wasent bakuras thing "Bakura..please wake up oh please!" she cupped his cheaks and started sobbing. Her body shook. After a moment she reached up and gently closed his eyes.

There was a bit of a scuffle around them as the guards managed to get Mariku, knocking him out and deciding to haul him off to the dungeons, where his fate would be decided later. Atem had been a bit delayed in arriving, and gasped like Nanu had when he saw the scene. "Oh my god..." He murmured, his eyes wide. Three dead bodies. Lots of blood. What had gone on here? Unsure of what to do first, he went over to Seto, noticing that his priest was still breathing. He shook Seto, and his blue eyes flashed open. "Seto... oh my god... Are you okay? We got Mariku, it's okay..." He added, when his high priest looked around in surprise. Seto, seeing that the pharaoh was telling the truth, pushed Atem aside and struggled to his feet. The back of his head hurt, sending jolts of pain through him, and he felt blood trickling down his neck, but that didn't matter now. He stumbled over to Ayira, remembering seeing Mariku hurt her. He fell to the ground more than sat down, and cupped her cheek in his hand. "Ayira... Ayira... please don't do this..." He murmured, feeling a great pressure on his chest suddenly. The only person he ever loved... the only person who had ever loved him... She couldn't be dead! Atem, seeing that Seto wasn't about to talk, noticed the guests. When had Bakura and Rei gotten here? Feeling dizzy from all the blood, he carefully went over to the couple, kneeling down. One look told him that Bakura was dead. Rei was sobbing, and Atem didn't know what he should do. Comfort her? No, she hated him. He felt that he should let Seto be alone, though, and just stayed by Rei for now.

Rei's sobbing had gotten louder as she hugged bakuras body close. Her head was burried in his neck. She dident care that she was covered in blood. "No...bakura..you cant leave me...you cant...."

[Probably not yet. Looking at the dead bodies and all.]
Atem sighed and finally moved away from Rei. Ignoring his other, dead, priest, he went to Nanu, who he had nearly tripped on. She was just unconscious, but she must have been shocked by the scene. He took a hold of her shoulders, shaking slightly. "Nanu... Nanu, we should get out of here..."

Atem nodded, his voice dropping. "Ayira and Bakura are dead. The blonde-- Mariku or whatever his name is-- is in the dungeons. I think we need to leave Seto and Rei alone for now."

"Have him killed. Not yet, though... I was thinking of letting the honor go to Seto. Maybe Rei." Atem said, helping Nanu as she got up. "I'm sorry you had to see this. Be careful; don't slip on the blood."

Atem nodded his head. "That would be best. I'm going to go talk to some others. Mariku killed one of my priests, by the way. Don't know if you knew him. Kalim; the one with the scales? I'll have to find a replacement." Atem sighed. When had this Mariku guy become such a threat? He had hardly heard of such a person. Seto closed Ayira's eyes, finally bowing his head. It had been incredibly hard work, but he managed to get through this without crying. He wasn't about to succumb to his emotions. Not in front of others. He sat with his own eyes closed, before getting up to his feet unsteadily. He would need to get his head looked at. But first...

Rei on the other hand dident care that she was showing emotion. She wasent sure how she was going to get by without bakura. Bothchildren had started crying as well.
