"Are you still hungry?" Lin asked.

She wasn't sure how much Andarien would eat now compared to when he was younger. The young angel knew for certain that Amalirahc seemed to have a bottomless stomach!

Andarien pursed his lips thoughtfully, his gaze drifting around the room as he thought.

"Well ... a lill'le bit?" he said hesitantly. "But I don't like the fruit. Can I have s'more yellow?"

Lin used her fork and knife to carefully hand Andarien one of her eggs and then cut the white part off.

"I take it you want bread with that?"

Andarien thought about it as he poked the yolk with his fork. He tried scooping it up the same way as he'd picked up the white with his fork, but it didn't work. He frowned and tried again, but it still didn't work.

"I guess I have to," he agreed with Lin. "Please."

It was hard to eat the yolk without something to gather it with.

Despite the fact they still needed to find Alassea's father, all they could do was ask and wait. That in mind, after breakfast was finished the first task of the day was to get Andarien knew clothes (again).

This gave them a chance to not only find where the tailor was (if the village had one, they were a farming community after all), but continue to ask on behalf of Alassea if anyone knew of her or her father.

The same woman they'd asked for information gave them directions to the tailor's, along with a tip that the tailor might even be able to help them, having been the tailor in the city for longer than anyone could remember. Due to that fact, Alassëa and Aethos decided to accompany Lin and Earendil and their family to the tailor's.

One thing that could be noted as they passed through the marketplace was that most of the vendors were selling some kind of vegetable instead of fruit. Corn, beans, peas, and much much more.

Eventually, they arrived at the tailor's, and Earendil held the door open for everyone to step inside.

The tailor's building was a large one, very likely one of those ones that was a residential space on top of the business. Inside, the room was large: the walls were covered with shelves and shelves of bolts of cloth, large work tables, an extensive collection of needles and threads and many other tools for the tailor to use.

The one thing that was missing in the shop was a person.

"Hello?" Lin called out the moment they stepped in.

She didn't see anyone, though the person could be in the back for all she knew.

For a moment, all was quiet, but then a door in the back of the room opened and a man stepped through. He was a little taller than Earendil, his dirty blond hair cut short. He was very well dressed - though considering where he was, that was far from surprising.

"Good morning," he greeted the group. His tone was friendly, though his expression was surprised. "I apologize for not being in the shop yet, I'm afraid I don't usually have people come this early."

He looked them over, though he was looking more at their bodies than at them as a whole - almost as if he were taking their measurements with his eyes. "And how can I help you today?" he asked, the corners of his mouth turning up in a smile.

"We're needing new clothes for our son Andarien," Lin explained looking over to her son.

She looked thoughtfully, because she didn't want to buy too many clothes since she didn't know how quickly he would grow again. It always seemed that when things went well they grew very quickly when they were young.

"Perhaps.... three sets of casual clothing that are meant for traveling and one set of formal clothing for now."

The man nodded and focused his attention on Andarien, circling him slowly. "Yes ... all right ... let's see now ..."

He started muttering to himself about sizes and materials and tucks and so on, and after another quick glance at Andarien, he moved to pick some bolts from their shelves on the wall.

Aethos led Alassëa to a seat so that she could sit down while they waited. It could be a few minutes, by the looks of things.

The man sort of reminded Lin of Helen, only less creepy. Not that Helen meant to be creepy it was just his lack of gender, love of clothes, feminine looks with the love of the male pronoun tended to throw a lot of people off.

Of course when Lin put it that way, the man wasn't really like Helen, except for the uncanny ability to know what would possibly look good on a person.

Miyuki was watching in interest and there were a lot of different colours and types of material there.

The man pulled down seven different bolts, held them up to Andarien, put some of them back on the shelf, and pulled more down. He repeated this a few times, until at last he had a full dozen bolts set out on one of the tables.

"All right," he said at last. "These ones here are a more durable material, they'll withstand months of travel, possibly even years, even for a child. These ones over here, on the other side, these ones are the more ... fancy, shall we say."

Andarien stood on his tiptoes to peer at the different fabrics. "I like that one," he said, pointing at a fiery red fabric that was with the 'fancy' ones.

Lin looked thoughtfully over to the red, she wasn't sure if Andarien would look good in it. Then again, she knew very little about clothing. She still wore the same colours she was born with for Goddesses' sake! She looked over at Miyuki who had padded over to Andarien and looked at the cloth thoughtfully.

"That would make a good shirt for you," Miyuki told him.

She didn't know what was it about guys and how they could look good in red, whether blond or black, but those extremes tended to look good in most colours. Especially if they were a guy, she thought it was kind of annoying.

She tend looked over at the more durable clothing.

Lin finally decided to see what else Andarien would like besides the fancy material, because if she and Miyuki could choose out their clothing at a young age so could Andarien.

Andarien looked up at Lin. "What you think, Nana?" he asked her. "Is this okay? Mi says it's good."

But he wanted his mother's approval as well, not just his sister's. His parents had been the ones to clothe him since he'd grown, and he knew that there were some things that they didn't want him to wear - such as that morning. And whatever he got, his parents would have to approve of it.

"I think its fine," Lin replied, "And what about the material from the more durable clothing? That cloth is going to be for your formal clothes, but you need regular traveling clothes as well."

She supposed Andarien didn't remember that part, which didn't surprise her.
