Ares listened intently and then replied with, "Then I'd probably like her. I like to be around people with spunk." Looking back at Raigin. "Hello, I'm Ares."

Aurora nodded her head politely to Raigin. "Hello. I am Aurora, and this is my familiar, Altan." She gestured a hand at the sphinx, who purred in greeting.

{{lol! Try not to. smile }}
Ever heard what Ares said about Kember, smirking. Then, when she saw that Raigin had seen her and was indeed coming over, her smirk turned into a bright smile.
When he came over and said what he had, she laughed softly.. "Yeah, not sure I'm exactly staying out of trouble. I'm here to talk with you so I can learn more about deadly plants. But what you said about being patient with revenge.. that really stuck with me."
She turned to look at her friends when Raigin inquired about them and listened to them given their introductions before speaking. "They're my friends. Ares is a teacher's assistant."

Raigin bowed respectfully to each of them. "Nice to meet you all." he said calmly. Turning to Ever he smiled, "well im glad I could help in some way. However I did not say to be patient about it. Just simply that rushing out looking for it without being properly prepared will only result in your own demise." he explained calmly.
Seeming to become puzzled about the second question he smiled. " I must tell you I know very little about deadly plants... especially the teacher." he said with a chuckle. "I merely... how to put this... comunicate to them... Ask them to aid and to listen... Its an elf thing." he said with a grin. "You may be able to do it if you cleared your mind, in time you will be ready and you will know what is important... I am young myself, There are few answers I can give you." he said seriously.

Ever absorbed everything Raigin said, completely enthralled. She couldn't believe he was young like she was. He looked like it, but he sounded centuries older. Of course, if she thought about it, most of the elves here at Bai Ching sounded like that.
Ever gestured to one of the chairs at the table they were sitting at. "Please join us, Raigin. And, I think you have a lot you could teach me. You honestly think I can eventually learn how to communicate with plants? That would be amazing if I could. Now, I don't tell many people this, but I feel like you should know before we continue. I'm a goddess, a fury to be exact. That is why I am so focused on getting revenge for others. Do you think a fury can communicate with plants?"

Raigin laughed at the statement as he took a seat. "I already know WHAT you are. You are very loud when upset." he said with a smile. "As for whether or not a fury could comunicate with plants... I suppose its worth a try, I dont see why not." he said witha shrug.

Ever blushed brightly when Raigin mentioned how she was loud when she was angry, realizing how he already knew she was a fury. She looked down at the table and laughed softly.
"Oh yeah... Guess I am. Guess you heard what I was yelling to Professor Rose. Sorry you had to hear that."
She looked back up at Raigin. "I'd love to try to communicate with the plants if you would help me, tutor me. If I can communicate with them, they can help me find deadlier plants and learn how to use them in potions, I would think.... right?"
She tilted her head to the side. "If you don't mind me asking, Raigin, are you from the large elven city in the forest surrounding our school?"

Raigin smiled, "I will help you communicate with plants as much as I can however I will have nothing to do with your goals for revenge. Nature is not something that is controlled, it must be asked and even if it agrees you can not always be sure of the outcome." he said warningly. At the question of his home he shurgged. "At one time yes but now im a wanderer, no home no food, until i was welcomed into Bai Ching." he said simply.

{{Really cool post, Raigin. smile }}
Ever nodded solemnly. "I understand. And thank you for agreeing to help me with learning how to communicate with plants. I appreciate it."
"Why would you want to leave the elven city? I have heard it is beautiful and completely magical."
Ever was so curious that she didn't realize she was becoming quite nosy.

((Thanks sounds good))
Raigin seemed to brood for a moment, "My parents died a few years ago. After they died I had no reason to stay. So i set out into the world to find a place in it where I belonged." he said gently. "I learned everything about the living from my mother, where my father taught me self defense." he explained. "I may play with flowers but I know how to protect something." he said calmly.

Ares grew silent as he listened through out the elf's boy's speech. "I am sorry," He finally spoke, "It's hard to lose your loved ones." Ares paused and then continued. "But it's good you didn't let it eat you alive. It takes strength to continue to live after that."

Ever frowned and looked down at the table right as Ares started speaking to Raigin. It was so hard for her to understand the loss a person felt when someone died. For one, she was immortal. Two, her main home was in the Underworld. She could visit with anyone who had passed. Well, nearly anyone, even in the Elysian Fields. Hades would have to summon the individual from the Elysian Fields if someone in the Underworld wanted to talk with them since dark creatures were not allowed in the sacred place.
And then, there were some people that were out of even Hades reach. No one really knew where those souls went, but it was believed that they went to someplace even higher, even more sacred. Ever didn't know about that, but she did always wonder where those select souls went.
When she realized that no one was talking, she looked up and glanced around. Then, she spoke.
"Umm, yeah, Raigin, that's awful. Like Ares said, we're so sorry that happened to you and it's amazing that you didn't let it eat at you. That's... very impressive."
Yeah, she simply reiterated most of what Ares had said, but that didn't mean that she hadn't meant it. She just needed an example of what to say and how humans might feel when they lose someone.

Ares glanced at Ever, knowing something was on her mind but unable to fathom what. Feeling how awkward it was becoming, Ares changed the subject. "Uh... So you said you know self-defense? How good are you?"

Raigin smiled, "thank you, both of you." he said gently before continuing onto the next question at hand. "Yes my father taught me Magic quite capable of defending myself from deadly foes... However they are spells like my ability to communicate with plants. They rely on nature, which is often very fickle about what it wants to be and do." he said simply. "However this kind of magic is not defensive in the least, for nature never takes the defensive in any form. Whether it be fire, water, wind, even earth is offensive in its own right." he said calmly.
