jashu555 Pfft, acting like it's the end of the world after some shooting with 33 people killed, which could have severely been lessened if people weren't stupid. People act like it's the end of the world, but it was just a bad incident. Think about the genocide happening in Africa. All we do is talk about problems, but we don't do s**t about them. Like New Orleans is STILL ******** up, and it's been like a year. i completely agree. the school itself is to blame partly for this as well. they knew the kid had problems but they did nothing to solve it. not even give the kid a little bit of help. someone outside of the school saw that kid was screwed up and tried to work with him independantly for a year. but couldnt get very far cause she had no help.

No... I still think that the media is trying to brain wash. Haven't you noticed that the news media tries to make things as bad as they can? Their making it sound like the end of the world is soon to come! What do they consider a massacre? 5 people at the least? Anyways, that's what I think. Well he wrote disturbing essays to his english teacher and she reported him. So today in calss we were reading a book about a pearl and we are on thje part when this indian dude needs a doctor to help his baby and he wont because the indian is poor. My teacher asked what are some options the indian can do. I was like he can threaten to kill the doctor If he dosent help his baby. Then my teacher brought up the asian dude essays and getting reported. I guess she see's me as a possible threat

in this case i dont think the media had this much of an influence on the kid. i think his own head was his enemy.
But that is true. the US media (and media in general) twists alot of stuff to purposefully attract attention and guide people to one cause or another.
i cant stand watching alot of news because all i see is death and decay, all of it overly exxaggerated than what it should be.
not to mention most american news only covers local or national matters. theres a whole world out there and we need to be kept up on what matters out there as well as in here. thats why alot of forgieners believe american are ignorant.
BBC news is actually pretty good for international matters.
korean people here in orange county and LA are already taking flake and being treated somewhat similar to middle easterners after the 9/11 attacks.
there have already been reports of verbal and physical assults as well as destoryed property against koreans here.
its friggen insane how some people will base the actions of a few against against the crowd....

Yeah, it's pretty stupid.
The college completely fails, and the people in it especially. I mean... HALF AN HOUR after he shot someone. SOMEONE should have heard the shot. From what I heard, they "Never thought it could be a gunshot". >_< Either they like throwing stuff around and pretending to make deafening loud noises every day, or their mentally ill.
As for you getting in trouble for something as stupid as that, I say you just do whatever you want. She doesn't have a legible reason to do anything.
@Bone - Well, America has done that since...it's creation actually. Remember the "Boston Massacre" it's all a propaganda run, trying to keep the country united and stop thinking about things like how Bush is killing people in Iraq for oil.

The media always has a little influence. But anyway, the kid was ******** up, so it doesn't matter.
Lockdown = The most worthless procedure to protect against some stranger.
I mean, you lock the doors, and turn off the lights, and get away from windows. If some dude with a gun comes in, I don't think a locked door, and turning off lights is going to make him think that everyone left all of a sudden for Disney World.
