Artistic: The character is in very early production, by the time it is all said and done the drugs might fall out the window in favor of his Pyromania.

Hard to say right now.

But I am not known for or trying to be unique. Not my thing.

Tenkai Matsumoto

Don't misread me on this, Vin. I never said that I want a tournament full of double KOs and people being nice-nice. Of the times I've had Tenkai do the honorable thing in fights and settle for double knockouts and all of that jazz, I did it because in that particular case that would be what Tenkai WOULD do. Just as you said, you do what your character does, and that's exactly what being an entertaining roleplay is about.

"Lovey dovey" is kindof a stupid way of putting it :/. And "people getting along" is supposed to refer to people getting along in OOC. I don't give a rat's a** if one character hates another character. Hell, it isn't even my business if the author hates the other author. But oftentimes people let that affect their roleplay and their characters choices regardless of what the character would do, and that's wrong. Otherwise you're just using the whole "It's my character, I'll decide what he does" argument as a crutch to hide behind so that you basically do whatever you feel like at a given moment regardless of how people feel.

And even when there's things a character would do in a certain case, there's always such thing as a d**k move. Making an entertaining fight doesn't mean it has to be a double KO though, not at all. It is still a game, but that's exactly my point. It's a writing game, and one that we often take far too seriously than we should be.

You're absolutely right in what you said, but a little off on your interpretation of what I said.

Aren't you suppose to be out getting a job?

Y'know, as much as I like to make fun of Fox I have to agree that while Omi's fight breakdown is mildly entertaining, it's a bit detrimental to the way the fight is viewed. I think the same thing about the way Noire's fight is being looked at.

I mean, it's fun to make jokes about the fights and things like that, but I don't fully understand why opinions are being formed before people actually read them.

In Acro vs Fier for example, they're pushing each other to do stupid s**t.

In Noire vs Soko, they're both guilty of making attacks and then describing their super effects AFTER their opponent takes the hit.

So on and so forth.

Evil Little Flayer
I would totally roleplay a raptor.

Maybe, even, a humanized one.

But not with dragon wings. That's just, OP.

@Evil and Fiend: I totaly did not rp a Humanoid Raptor th wings that could shoot oral energy blasts in 07- mid 08

@Darth and ppl talking about mainstream: This is very true about the federation consept, if I recall the only thing people where talking about in regards restrictions was prohibiting God-like powers from the masses unless an event called for it, ie: no space time manipulation/FTL travel/ those kinds of things.

I should be an entire squad of Space Marines.

Just for the lols.

I play like five dudes who get deep striked into casual situations and just yell at each other for covering fire and s**t while making gun shooting and explosion noises.

I don't care enough about the fights my character's not involved in to develop opinions on the matters. I read the OOC. I read Hael's rendtion of Fier vs Acro, simply because I knew Hael would have something hilarious to say about it all.

I'm reading other people's fights here and there because they're either friends, acquaintances, or just that I have knowledge of characters involved and think the fight would be interesting to see.

My input.

I see no reason to obligate people to follow a particular powerset in their thread just to join the Mainstream.

If such a thing was implemented, it would be as loose as possible; AKA no Deus Ex Machina characters or the like. Every thread should retain control over what it allows, even if it fits within the context of the greater world.

EDIT:: This is primarily because it's impossible to EVER get an agreed upon set powerlevel over a broad community. I'm too tired to explain it any better than that. I've always been an advocate for playing at the lower end of the spectrum in terms of power, it's just impossible to draw a consensus that will please everybody.

And this is why I love my character. I'm still wondering how the ******** he is alive. At least Elijah Lokk died like he should have.

Damn gaia.

I assume those reading my thread also read the thread and posts in question, else they have no idea what in the hell I'm talking about almost 1/3 of the time. There's nothing detrimental about it if you consider the fact:

-If someone will read my version of events and not the original..
-Then likely, they'd never read the original to begin with, or at least would have long after we stopped discussing it. Whether you personally find my take on the fight only humorous and not as "helpful" or no, you can't argue I've generated more interest for others to actually peer over the fight just to see if I'm exaggerating or not.

And I haven't backread yet 'cos I just woke up, is Fox still crying like a f*****t? I mean I signed on MSN and seconds in:

burdzach@yahoo.com (E-mail address not verified) says:
*Fox wanted to let you know that he doesn't think you're funny.

Haelstrom Fist says:
*Tell Fox my c**k hangs to the left.
*He'll know what I mean.

Yeah, but you're not a Judge or anything either... nor are you really making fun of people based off their fight. I mean I can go "lolroensux| about his fight all I want, but when I actually read it I can see that he didn't do too bad. ( With the exception of bringing armed/armored personnel into his fighting area )

Regarding MAINSTREAM, if you're trying to put any caps on it you've already failed. The idea of the project is to allow people to manage their own threads however they want, and simply consent that the events that occur in their threads are canon. Making something canon to a character or group is more powerful a force in FreeForm roleplay than any listed superpower or godmod.

Which is exactly why I haven't read Omi's thread yet.

Lolololol

I'm for the mainstream stuff. I've been acting like it was in place for years anyways.
