major screwups in Spiderman 3:
1. Eddie Brock is NOT a skinny photographer. he was a hugely built (professional football player type) reporter.
2. Marko Flint had NOTHING to do with the death of Uncle Ben. this is a cheap pathetic attempt to tie into the previous movies. if they wanted a new villian with a tie into peter's personal life, they coudl have used his teacher, Dr. connors, becoming the Lizard.
3. the Green Goblin always looked/looks like the Green Goblin. not a snowboarder with a green mask.
4. Gwen Stacy was Peter's first GF, who died before MJ was even on the scene, not to mention she was killed by the original green goblin. again this is a sad attempt to add to a movie by screwing over the comic. they coudl have used Black Cat, who did have an interest in Peter while he was with MJ for this purpose without dicking over the comic readers.
5. the alien suit that become bonded to Eddie was gotten from space during the Secret Wars. now, while I understand that can't be done, the least they can do is give some tip of the hat to those that actually read the comics and show that Peter knows it's not from earth.

And I have no idea what you're talking about...
But I pretty much gave up on comic book movies after X-men fiasco.
And well...never red comics.

Marko Flint is the Sandman. in the comics, he's basically an accident. laying on a beach, enjoying the view and a wave of gamma radiation/nuclear radiation hits him and merges his body to the sand he's laying on. he turns to crime after that for various reasons.
in the movie, they put him as the real killer of Uncle Ben, not the criminal that spidey got to in the first movie. so they screw up the entire 'with great power comes great responsibility' lesson in the first one just for an easy way to tie Sandman into the movies.
Eddie Brock is a star reporter for a rival to Peter's news company. in the comics, Spiderman ruins his career on accident because Eddie reports the identiy of a criminal that turns out to be false. later eddie, hating spidermen for ruining his life, comes into contact with the alien symbiote that is spiderman's black suit and becomes Venom, one of the most popular and dangerous spidey villians.
Eddie Brock is built in the comics like a football player, or a professional wrestler. he certainly is not one of those skinny kids from 'that 70's show'.
Gwen Stacy was Peter's first gf. during thier romance, she is captured by the first Green Goblin, and thrown of a bridge. although she doesn't hit the ground, the stress on her body from spidey stopping her fall by catching her kills her. this leads spidey to go all out on GG, and in that encounter the goblin is killed. she was not part of some kind of love triangle with MJ and Peter.
however Black Cat, a female super heroine, did try to get peter's heart and did have a kinda of lovetriangle with peter/MJ. hence it would have been a much better choice to use that character rather than one that would have been dead already in the comics.
and yes the black suit, peter was aware in the comics of it's extra terrestrail origins. he wasn't aware of it's sentience however till much later.

And thus boys and girls knowledge is power.
And personally, I don't know much about comic books, but I was like "I though the black suit thing was about venom..."
Well, I'm all cleared up now. But I still probably won't see it.

I don't read the comics, never have, but surprisingly enough I knew most of that trivia.
I didn't like it when I heard about Gwen...didn't make sense to me to bring her in.
Didn't know about Sandman though. Although, taking scriptwriting and storyboarding as I am, I can see where it might be neccesary to change things. I alos know that the initial script might have been gold, but the director might have made it s**t. (What's his face it to Pen Densham's "Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves." the move was nothing like that man wrote it to be.)
As I understand it, not alot of peoplw working on these films actually know that much about what the media they are working from. If you ask me, any importnatn person making a film about spider-man better know the basics. (it's NOT hard to find out....not with internet)
I want to see it ebcause I am very interested to see the inner struggle with the black suit. I want to see Peter suffer, cause you know me. Good characters have to suffer. ^^

Well shadow everything you said about Spiderman 3 is right, I agree with you on what you think is wrong and all but the one thing I like about Spiderman movie series was the fact they put his webbing into his wrists, it would of taken up so much screen time seeing him make the stuff and try to reload it
But there is one thing about Sandman you're wrong about, he was already a criminal and was running away from the police when when washed up on the beach and the explosion happened turning him into the Sandman character, but yeah it does suck that they are ruining the whole thing by making him the guy who killed his uncle, oh well they are going to screw this up like they did with X-men 3
I cant wait to see the suit though and seeing him go throughout all the changes and whatnot to his persona, it's going to be good hopefully.
Though the whole thing with Gwen, they never did that in the TV series as well, well the one I grew up on so they never stuck to the original story line in that.
also Harry is suppose to become the Hobgoblin, in the new Ulitmate Spiderman he does become that creature...though I cant remember if he becomes the Green Goblin in the comcis, in the TV show he did.
