Seto whirled around, taking a firm hold of Ayira's wrist. He wasn't about to let her anywhere out of his sight, not with Mariku possibly running around. "Until I see that he is dead, under no circumstances are you to let me leave your sight." He said, then suddenly seemed to hear what the guard said. "Wait a second-- a baby?" He looked surprised, looking at Ayira. "He wouldn't actually have kept the girl alive this long... Would he?"

"I..I dont know...Mabye..use her as a threat? I dont know how she staid alive this long..." Ayira said.

"We have to find him. If he's in the palace, we have to make sure he doesn't leave alive." Seto said, hurrying down the hallway, trying to figure out where Mariku would be. He was on guard, grabbing Ayira with one hand and his Millennium Rod with the other. Mariku couldn't believe how quickly he had been noticed. He held the bouncing baby brat in one arm, trying to remember exactly why he had brought her, and was currently choking a priest with his free hand. He didn't know the name of this one-- he carried a golden pair of scales and had on an ugly wig. (You should make Femi start to scream really loudly.)

Femi who was hungery and scared started to scream very loudy and squirm.

Seto's head snapped up when he heard the shrill screams from the hallways. He glanced over at Ayira, as though to confirm he wasn't the only one who heard it, and then broke into a run, not wanting to give Mariku time to get away, especially if he got a Millennium Item. He found the blonde strangling Kalim (or whatever his name is), the bearer or the Millennium Scales. "Stop!" He shouted, letting go of Ayira and brandishing his Millennium Rod. Mariku, having already watched the wig-priest take his last breath, looked up as another one entered. He bent down, picking up the scales. "Oh, look, this one is being delivered to me." He said, smirking. He looked over Seto's shoulder, his eyes widening slightly when he saw the woman. "What? You?! I killed you two times already, dammit!" He hissed, making Seto glare. He was having trouble keeping a hold of the squirming girl and knew that he wouldn't be able to fight while holding her.

Ayira growled"Well guess what? IM NOT DEAD!"
Femi's squirming got worse as her screaming got louder.

"Well you will be!" Mariku snarled, and then abruptly hurled Femi at the priest. Seto, being completely taken by surprise, threw his arms up and managed to catch the child, stumbling backwards and falling in the process. He didn't let Femi hit the ground, though, and quickly checked to make sure she was all right. Mariku, meanwhile, pulled out a foot-long dagger and ran forward, first deciding to take care of the priest and then the zombie woman.

Ayiratook a dagger that was straped to her leg and pushed seto aside so he was out of the way. She then reached out to attack marku.

Mariku let out a snarl when Seto was shoved aside, and quickly focused instead on the woman. He grabbed her wrist that was holding her own dagger and twisted it. "I wonder if third time's the charm." He growled, pressing his blade against her throat. Looking off to the side, he saw that the priest had gotten up. "Move and she dies!" Seto, seeing that the child was fairly unharmed for now, quickly set her aside and got to his feet to help Ayira. The blonde shouted a threat and Seto froze, weighing the choices in his mind. He could try to attack now, since it was obvious Mariku was going to try and kill Ayira anyway, only he had dropped his Millennium Rod and didn't think he could reach them fast enough. "Let her go!"

Ayira cringed as her wrist was twisteddroping the knife. She struggled in marikus grip.

Mariku knew that he couldn't just leave her to die this time. He would have to make sure, by his own hands, that she was dead. The priest seemed to be planning something, but for now this woman was caught. He wouldn't waste any time making threats or sneering at her. In one quick, jerking motion, Mariku sliced neatly through Ayira's throat.
[Hope you don't mind if it was kinda quick. He just needed to make sure the job was done. Besides, I've gotta get off now.]

Ayira screamed blood gurgling into her mouth and spitting out everwhere.Her eyes turned wide as her hands went to her throat trying to stop the bleeding. It was no use. After a few moments her body became still,her eyes still open but glossed over. Blood covered her body,mariku and the ground below them.

Mariku let go of Rei, smirking slightly. Finally. Now there would be absolutely no question as to her death. Seto stared in horror, too stunned for a few seconds for this to actually register. He shot out, going to Ayira's side, unaware of the blood. He brought his hands to her throat to try and stop the bleeding, but after only a few seconds he knew it was no use. There was no heartbeat. He looked up at Mariku, his eyes wide. "Y-you..." He whispered, his own voice hardly registering in his mind. His eyes narrowed sharply; Seto was abruptly filled with a burning rage. "You killed her!" He snarled, tackling Mariku, too mad with rage to even consider his own life.

Ayiras body fell with a thud to the floor.Her blank eyes staired out at nothing.Nanu who had heard the screaming had came running as fast as she could. When she saw ayira she gasped before fainting.

Bear with me here, but I'm just going to pretend that Bakura and Rei had set off earlier to come to the palace, and had just arrived. Bakura tensed as he got off the horse, helping Rei down as well, since all the guards seemed to be in a frenzy. All you had to do was listen to their shouts for a few minutes and realize what the problem was. The guards paid no attention to the theif's family as they arrived.
"Mariku?" Bakura hissed, looking doubtful. He turned towards Rei, narrowing his eyes slightly. If Mariku was here then there was a chance that... No. He wasn't about to let himself believe something that might not be true. "Come on. If he's here, I want to kill him." Bakura said, going into the palace, holding Rei's hands. He heard some kind of screaming, obviously a toddler's screams. He recognized it as being Femi. Hardly believing what he heard, but hoping it was true, he bolted down the hallway towards the source of the sounds.
It was a rather odd sight to see. Seto and Mariku were fighting, though Mariku was clearly winning. There were two, maybe three, dead bodies on the ground; Ayira, some priest, and that servant girl. A second glance told Bakura that the servant wasn't dead, just unconscious. Femi had been put off to one side, unhurt, though looking painfully thin. "Femi!" Mariku's head snapped up when he heard a familiar voice. No... No, this couldn't be true! First that woman and now Bakura? "Do I have to kill everybody twice?!" Mariku snarled, his eyes locking with Bakura's. He slammed Seto's head against the wall. There was a loud cracking sound and then Seto slumped down to the floor. "This is getting ridiculous!"
