Aburame, Auxone

Don't underestimate me,
Even if my insects are small,
I am not afraid of you

Auxone was already pondering the thought of what it would be like to play Ninja Hide and Seek today. He released the two clones, and released the transformation also. In his original form, he turned to his teacher, bowed, and said, "Practice makes perfect!" Spinning on his heels, he marched to his lone seat, with a distinct smirk on his face.

After much more training for the other students, most of them had gotten one or the other memorized and utilized perfectly, but not both of them at the same time, like Auxone had done. His academy teacher had a random student throw a kunai at his heart. Right before the kunai would have pierced him, white clouds formed, and a book replaced his body, and was hit full on by the kunai. Behind the book was their teacher, who caught the pierced novel, Make-Out Paradise, and sent it hurling back to the student.

The teacher loudly proclaimed "What I just demonstrated was the Art of Substitution, in which some people may call the Body Replacement Jutsu. You've seen the hand seals, now perform it. You can replace your body with anything, or anybody, but we'll stick to objects for now."

Auxone immediately volunteered, because he figured he could do it easily, like the other things. Although bad at maintaining chakra, and slow in learning, this was very basic. He could do it. The first time he attempted it, he replaced himself with a sheet of paper, but it wasn't quite fast enough. The second attempt, he tried replacing himself with a book, like his teacher did. Yet again, too slow. Instead, he continuously tried replacing himself with the book, and tried making it faster and smoother each time. Upon multiple tries, he had it down. Just to show off, he replaced himself with a perfect clone of himself.

After every student had tried multiple times, once again, most had gotten decent, but still not as good as Auxone. Yet, they all knew in the long run he would start to slow down because of his low chakra conserve. But they didn't know he would fix that, and gain more chakra than they could.

Outside on the playground, the students played their games, and this time, Auxone placed three clones of himself around the playground in good hiding spots, and watched as they would stare at him, telling him they found him and he was it. Then they would touch him, and he would disappear. Finding it humorous, he would let small giggles of laughter escape him each time it happened. Occasionally, he would be found in only the best hiding spots, but not often.

I told you,
Don't underestimate me,

Aburame, Auxone

Don't underestimate me,
Even if my insects are small,
I am not afraid of you

Auxone awoke the next day, with his usual routine of packing himself with his tools and getting himself clean, and then training a bit on his jutsus before going to class. Today they would meet in the training area outside of the village. He figured they were doing tree walking and water walking.. Focusing chakra to be precise, and Auxone was up to it. He listened to his mother speak about concentrating on chakra flows, and then feeling the chakra move through his body. She told him to try his Cloning Jutsu and feel the heat of his hands, as he makes the hand seals.

As she said, Auxone did so, and immediately understood. Hand seals were not only to control nature, but chakra too. Yet, if you tried to push something with your hands, your chakra would go to the specific muscles needed to push the object. Same with pulling an object, and running really fast, jumping, anything physical or mental was controlled by chakra. He was also told great stories that were passed down by Shino, his distant cousin, about Naruto Uzumaki, who trained immensely by forming multiple shadow clones, and making them all train. Therefore, it meant, if he could perform a shadow clone, just one, he could train twice as hard, although he would be burdened twice as much. But, with the more training, the more chakra. With the more chakra, the less burden, and the more shadow clones.

Auxone decided he would try to obtain that jutsu, and then maybe he could train faster, better, and more than usual. Then, he could become stronger than his classmates, and destroy them in the Chuunin Exams. He would constantly train, every day, and learn new jutsus every opportunity he had. He already made his own jutsu, why can't he make another soon? He would make it so he could make perfect shadow clones, with his parasitic bugs, transforming them into living tissue. Then, he wouldn't have to learn the shadow clone jutsu, and it would be quicker, because his bugs can form much faster than a jutsu can.

Being the first to arrive at the training area, Auxone immediately got to work, because he truly wanted to master these skills, and increase his chakra power. Noting that when he would climb the tree, he should mark his point of height with a kunai. Pulling one out, he did some quick leg and feet warm-ups. He stretched, massaged, and focused them. Then, when he felt ready, he practiced a few hand signs, and then let the chakra flow downwards towards his feet. Each time, getting further and further, until he reached the soles.

Sprinting full speed, he tried running up the tree, but his foot splintered the wood, and sent him sprawling backwards. He tried again, and the exact same thing happened. He focused more chakra into his feet this time, and ran harder, but the wood was just crushed under his foot even more, and threw him even farther. He lessened the chakra to a very little amount, and tried. But this time, he just fell off the tree backwards, and then he understood.

Too much will throw me off, while too little won't keep me on. Then, he started to even his chakra out to where it was in between too little, and too much. When he was sastisfied, he tried again, and reached more than ten feet up the tree, marking his spot with a slice of the kunai.

Half an hour later, class started, and Auxone was already at the top branch of the tree, hanging upside down, on one foot. When the rest of the class started climbing, he was already moving onto walking on water.

I told you,

Zor'rok packed up the few things he had from his temporary home and walked to the door opening it slowly. As the light from the sun shined in his eyes he squinted slightly as his eyes adjusted to the light. Once able to see he looked around slowly see not much out of the ordinary he walked out of his home and into the streets of his village where he had for the time being been calling his home. Walking down the dusty road he looked around at each place he passed he stopped at his normal shop and picked up his normal thing he had to eat most everyday. Waving to the shop owner he made his way the academy for his last class before his graduation. Getting to the academy he walks into the building looking around at all the other students run around try to make sure they got everything for their classes. Zor'rok shakes his head slightly and makes his way to his class walking into the room and taking a seat at the back of the class watching everyone else filter in taking seats next to friends and talking about what they are going to do once they graduate. After a short time the bell chimes for class watching as the instructor walk in to the front of the class.
“Alright class today is the final exam for your graduation. What is going to happen is I'm going to call you all up one by one and your going to show me the technique that you've been working on.” The instructor began to call everyone up to the front starting in alphabetical order. Zor'rok sat watching each person show of what they had been working on till his name was called. Slowly Zor'rok got up and made his way to the front of the class. He stood there looking around for a moment then looked over at the instructor. Then looked out again putting his hands together made a few symbols as a puff of cloud showed up then the next thing everyone seen was a perfect copy of himself. After a moment he poked the copy and it disappeared. Zor'rok looked over at the instructor again. The instructor spoke to Zor. “Very well done you may be seated.” Zor'rok nodded and made his way back to the seat he was siting in. The instructor moved back to the front of the class once again. “Alright well that should do it for the day so you are all dismissed have a good day.”
As soon as the instructor was done talking everyone got up and took off out of the classroom as fast at they could. Standing up Zor'rok stood up and made his way out of the classroom making his way down the hall to outside and over to a tree siting down under it until they post the list of people who passed. After about an hour or so they posted up the list of people who had passed. He got up and made his way over to the list to seeing if he had passed. Seeing his name on the list he grind and made his way to the place he had been calling home feeling good that he had passed the academy. Getting back the his house he set all of his things down by the door and made his way to his bed. Laying down he laid there looking at the sealing for a few before closing his eyes for the night.

Aburame, Auxone

Don't underestimate me,
Even if my insects are small,
I am not afraid of you

Auxone was ready to get the show on the road, and finish water walking, because he figured it would be easier, now that he knew how to walk up a tree, and hang upside down. Well, he was partly right. He could maintain chakra in one place, but water was constantly sloshing around, and chakra had to be constantly changed to stay balanced.

Auxone was at a small water river that was perfect for water walking, and was right beside the training area. He concentrated his chakra into his feet, and walked onto the water. Within seconds, he lost balance, and fell. Trying again after recovering, he noticed that the chakra flow was being changed if he didn't think about it. He had also heard from his mother that Jiraiya told Naruto that "skating" over the water instead, helped the chakra balance itself out easier, and flow easier. While doing those things, it also helped walk on water without even controlling the chakra. That would then mean, if Auxone could perfect water walking, he could walk on water, trees, walls, and more, without even trying or thinking about it.

Daydreaming, Auxone found himself floating on the water, then thinking about it, he plopped into the river. Jumping back out and onto the ground, he concentrated the same amount of chakra, and walked on the river's surface, then started skating, and lasted longer this time. Like tree walking, he tried it multiple times, but he counted how long he could do it. Reaching a whole minute, he stopped, and walked over the water, and back to land. Wait a minute.. I just walked on water without doing anything. Now, I can think about it, but not have to try and control anything. I just might get a hold of my chakra levels after all..

Auxone returned to his teacher and told him of his great feats. Returning to the water, Auxone got ready. Without even channeling chakra, he stood on the water, and then silently walked around it, while proclaiming, "I can feel the chakra reserves growing every time I learn something new, and expand my abilities!

Sighing loudly, Auxone wondered why he was a year behind. He could do these things easily! He was quicker than the students from last year. He sighed once again, and just thought about what it would be like to become a Genin, and graduate as a top rank Chuunin, then Jounin, and to his dream, ANBU. Although being a typical Aburame, calm, collected person, he can sometimes be quite enthusiastic, and much different from his other family. He smiled, and laughed out loud, and then he went home, praying that he would become a Genin soon.

Arriving at his house, Auxone showed his mother everything he had previously learned through the academy. She was very proud of him, and rewarded him with Ichiraku Ramen.

Eating his ramen in silent happiness, Auxone declared, "I will gain more chakra than any of my classmates. His mother giggled, and told him not to be so rude, but that he had good dreams. Auxone struggled with a thought, for a long time. I do not know any of my clan's jutsu. Every time his nano bugs would speak to him, they would tell him to learn some great techniques from his brotherhood.

"I will learn only the greatest techniques, just you wait and see!" proclaimed Auxone, grinning wildly.

Doran simply began groaning and rolled over as his alarm started going off. It was just another day at the academy where he had learned barely anything thus far. The young sand shinobi swung his arm around and smacked his old school alarm clock right off of his night stand. He heard a crack as it hit the hard wood floor but at the moment he could not really care any less about some stupid clock. Doran wanted to just stay in his warm bed and keep sleeping. But even more than he liked being lazy, Doran also loved being a ninja and knew that skipping a day at the academy would likely hinder that dream severely. So he threw his blanket off himself and onto the floor and shuddered as the cold air rushed to his skin. The young ninja took his square framed glasses from his night stand and placed them gently on his face. He eventually dragged himself off of his not so comfy mattress and got dressed. Doran then began grabbing all of his weaponry and prepared to head out to the class room. After he was sure he had equipped himself with all his kunai and shuriken, Doran was almost half way out the door before he realized he had forgotten his most important ninja tool. The young shinobi made his way to the opposite corner of his room where against the wall stood a cloth bag that stood about five feet tall and weight almost as much as a human of that size. Doran grabbed the bag and slung the strap over his torso with a series of loud clicks and clinking noises coming from the mysterious package. He could not help but feel a great sense of satisfaction and safety now that his most prized possession was on his person once again.

As Doran left his room, he began to daydream about having a real battle with his mechanical partner in hand. He had built Naito specifically for combat and was proud of its incredible ability to perform the task with great efficiency. As he began to imagine what other kinds of modifications he might make to his puppet, Doran could see his classroom door in front coming up on his right side down the hallway. He paused outside the door for a moment and let out a deep sigh. ‘Here we go’ Doran thought to himself. ‘It’s just another day of fun and excitement at the ninja academy.’ He reached out and slid the door open. As he crossed the threshold of the doorway and entered the classroom, many eyes turned towards him. Doran noticed he was the last student to enter the class today and looked up at the clock to realize that his morning laziness had made him very close to late. He calmly and rather lethargically walked over to the last empty seat towards the front and sat down, taking the bag containing puppet off and placing it next to him leaning it up against the desk. Doran placed his elbows on the desktop and rested his chin in his hands. He would have almost fallen asleep if the teacher had not almost immediately called out his name and asked him to step up in front of the class. Doran let out a sigh of disappointment, but he knew that’s what he got for being the last one to show up and getting the seat right in front of the teacher. He approached the front of the classroom slowly with his hands in his pockets and turned to face the other students. Some of the more morning friendly people were giggling at his suffering, but most were too tired or apathetic to care. The teacher asked Doran to demonstrate the jutsus that they had discussed already this week. As much as the young sand shinobi would have loved to tell the sensei to shove it in his mouth, he knew that would no blow over so well when his parents heard about his misbehavior. So Doran could only shrug as he decided to comply with the teacher’s request. He recalled the first jutsu they had learned that Monday and prepared to demonstrate. Normally before performing this technique, he would carefully observe his subject and make sure to absorb every last detail of them before proceeding, but Doran had already spent so much time around the teacher that he did not need to. He had that man memorized from head to toe. So Doran made the hand seal and focused his chakra. “Henge no Jutsu!” he yelled. A burst of smoke appeared that quickly dissipated to reveal in place of Doran, a perfect copy of the class teacher.

It would have been all too easy at this moment to mock the teacher beyond reconciliation. But it Doran knew it would be a lot of effort and hassle after the matter to deal with the repercussions of his actions. The sand ninja in training just wanted to get this over with so he could sit down and become another blank and uncaring face in the crowd. So Doran continued his demonstration by first releasing the transformation jutsu and returning to his normal form in another puff of smoke. He knew what was next since they had just learned the technique in class the day before this one. Doran made the hand sign and focused his chakra once again before yelling “Bunshin no Jutsu!” Several explosions of smoke erupted and when the dust cleared there stood not one but four Dorans. The young shinobi released the clone jutsu and his copies disappeared in a cloud of smoke. ‘Two down and one more to go.’ He thought to himself. Doran made the hand signs and focused his chakra but did not yell the name of the technique because that would slightly defeat the purpose of using it. In a puff of smoke, Doran was replaced by his large five foot tall bag standing where he just was. The sand ninja now sat back in his seat looking just as apathetic as ever. He did not feel like putting out the effort to get up and retrieve his puppet after having just demonstrated three jutsus in front of his uncaring class mates. So Doran just threw his hand out and projected his chakra strings out to the wrapped up marionette and pulled it back towards him and returned it to its previous spot leaned up against the desk.

Doran sat in the classroom listening to his teacher for another hour before he felt like he was about to die of boredom. The concept of pranking the teacher was becoming more and more appealing by the second. Doran looked around and it seemed like most of the other students were in a worse state then he was at this point. If nothing else he would be doing his fellow class mates an injustice by letting this form of tyranny known as lecturing continue any longer. It would be nice if he could pull off his misfit activity without being caught or even noticed. Doran would hate to have to take the flak from his parents if the dean of the academy had to write them a letter explaining his misbehavior. So Doran now had the goal of his task in mind. He would create a class ending disturbance and make sure to leave not even a single sign that he alone was the culprit. It would be a piece of cake to blame the other students that were not paying attention, but Doran decided that would be completely counterproductive to his ideals. So now there was the added difficulty of covering for the other students as well so the teacher would simply have no clue as to who did the dastardly deed and no leads to solving the mystery either. Doran was unfortunately feeling a little too hazy from the lecture to feel like planning the whole process out ahead of time, so he decided to play it by ear and see what happens. So the next time the teacher turned to write on the chalk board, Doran quickly used the clone jutsu to create an image of himself sitting bored and lethargic in his seat. Once the clone was in place, Doran himself hit the ground behind the desks to the teacher could not see the real him. Doran grabbed a stink bomb from his backpack that he held on to just in case. One could never know when a good stink bomb would be useful in a private school full of ninjas. Doran crawled silently under the large connected counter that served as the student’s desktop and began approaching the teacher’s desk at the front of the room. He made sure the teacher was facing away before he dashed over to the teacher’s chair and placed the small purple orb under the seat cushion where the sensei would not see it as he was sitting down. As the teacher looked away towards the chalk board once more, Doran used the substitution jutsu to switch places with his clone which then immediately dissipated, so Doran was sitting back in his regular seat and the teacher was none the wiser that anything had happened at all. Before long the instructor stopped lecturing and told the class to begin a writing assignment. As the teacher walked over to his desk and began to sit down, Doran could barely contain himself just knowing what was about to happen and how gratifying it would be to see the end result come to fruition so quickly. Eventually the sensei sat down at his desk chair and the expected outcome was achieved as the stink bomb Doran had planted exploded with a loud boom and the rancid smelling green gas began to fill the room. The half asleep ninja students in the room were jolted awake at the sound and then slowly became aware of the stench that had entered their midst.

The teacher’s face grew bright red in what was most likely a combination of both embarrassment and anger towards all the students in general. He yelled at everyone to leave the room immediately, more because he did not want to see any of them right now than because of the smell. But none the less, the students were happy to oblige the request of leaving the classroom. Doran tried his best to be inconspicuous as he followed suit and calmly walked his way out of the room with his hands in his pockets. As he trotted away though, he could feel the eyes of his not so happy instructor burning into the back of his head. Doran was pretty sure at this point that the teacher knew it was him that planted the stink bomb. His only option now was to avoid the teacher at all costs until he had calmed down some and was willing to let it go. So the sand shinobi continued to walk lazily to the door, but as soon as he had turned outside the doorway, he changed his attitude real fast. His thoughts were now of quick escape. So the young ninja dashed down the hall, dodging between other students as they walked, trying to put as much distance as possible between himself and the teacher that would most likely be after him very soon. He reached the stair to find that they were packed with people and would not provide a very quick getaway. He had no choice but to resort to a technique that he had not yet practiced. Doran sprinted towards the open window as he began focusing his chakra into the souls of his feet. The sand shinobi nimbly climbed out the window and began running down the side of the building. He was incredibly grateful to find that he had concentrated well enough in a pinch for the tree climbing technique to work properly. Doran continued running after he reached the ground out into the woods surrounding the main school building. Before long he had come to a river. Most people would have called it good at this point, but he wanted to be certain that his teacher would not find him, so Doran was determined to put a little more distance between him and the teacher by using another technique that he had not yet practiced. He once again focused his chakra into his feet and began pushing it out through the souls of his shoes. He continued to do this as he took a step onto the surface of the water. To Doran’s pleasant surprise, his chakra flow allowed him to treat the water surface as solid ground. So without any further pause or delay, the young sand ninja ran across the river and further into the woods until he was certain that his teacher would not find it worth his while to chase any longer. When he felt he was safe, Doran took his large bag off of his back and set it against a tree so that he might sit and enjoy a moment of relaxation.

User ImageUser ImageDoran was beginning to relax and was almost in a good mood when a voice sounded from right above his head. “Having a good time there Doran?” The young student bolted away from the tree he was leaning against to see his teacher hanging upside down from a branch above where he was sitting. The sensei dropped down and flipped over to land softly on the ground. He stood up straight and looked down at Doran who was still sitting on the ground in surprise. The sensei just continued talking since it was obvious that Doran would not be saying anything for a short while. “I know it was you that planted that stink bomb you little brat. I must say I am extremely disappointed that a bright kid like you would resort to such measures.” Doran was just beginning to think about how much trouble he was about to be in but his sensei kept talking. “However, despite your mischief, I must admit to the fact that I am slightly impressed with your clever use of ninjutsu in order to place the device without my notice. On top of that you made an incredibly resourceful and expedious escape. Had that been an assassination mission, you may have done very well with the execution. That being said I’m willing to give you a chance at reduced punishment.” At the words ‘reduced punishment’ Doran suddenly became very interested in what his teacher had to say to him. “Since I cannot actually prove that it was you who planted the bomb, I’m taking your punishment into my own hands. Had I not been impressed I would have simply sent you through a ridiculous amount of strenuous training. However, in this case I’m willing to give you a chance to get out. If you can beat me in a fight, you are free to go with nothing else said. But if I win, you get have a bonus training session with me right here. Do we have a deal Mr. Akasun?” Doran sprung up from the ground and was more than happy to accept. As it was the student and the teacher were standing about ten feet apart and it seemed like the perfect placement to start the fight right there. It occurred to Doran that he knew absolutely nothing about his sensei’s abilities. He had only ever seen him perform the basic academy level jutsus he was teaching them. Before Doran could think any farther into it, his teacher seemed to simply disappear before his very eyes. Then before the student had time to even think about where the teacher could have gone, Doran could hear shuriken flying at him from behind. He quickly threw his hand out to where his puppet was leaning against a tree in its bag. His chakra strings flung out and attacked to the puppet, which Doran quickly reeled in towards his body, just in time to use as a shield against the incoming shuriken.

The moment of success did not last long for Doran as his teacher appeared on his left side and delivered an unbelievably powerful side kick to Doran’s ribs. The student went flying only to eventually be stopped by smacking into a nearby tree. As Doran picked himself up he analyzed what had just happened. From what he knew, the sand shinobi guess that his teacher preferred to make a long range attack followed by an up close one. If that was the case, Doran knew he could handle it with the help of his good friend. That being thought out, Doran heard a much deeper whistling coming at him from the right. He dashed behind the tree just in time as a giant fuma shuriken sliced halfway through the trunk. Doran was prepared this time for what might happen next. Because his back was to the tree and his sensei had just attacked from his right, the student guessed that his teacher would strike at his left again. So Doran threw his puppet up in the air and pulled the bag off of it as his teacher appeared where he had predicted and threw a front kick at his chest. The young sand student stepped quickly to his right away from the tree to avoid the foot that would have likely knocked him to the ground. In the same motion, Doran pulled his hand down and his puppet followed the attached chakra strings and he watched as the heavily armored figure of Naito the puppet came flying down in a dive bomb maneuver at the sensei with his straight sword attached to his arm pointing straight out. Doran thought he had this fight finished as the blade sunk into his teacher’s shoulder. He almost felt bad about injuring his sensei when the man vanished in a puff of smoke, revealing the fact that it was just a shadow clone. Doran barely had enough time to brace himself for an impact as his sensei quickly appeared behind him and knocked the student off of his feet with a low sweeping kick to the back of his knees. As Doran fell onto his back with a hard thud, he watched as his instructor appeared several feet above him and began diving down with his fist out forward aiming for his stomach. Doran made a quick set of hand signs and the instructor did not have time to react as he found himself hitting the well armored body of Naito instead of Doran. Naito’s arms wrapped around the sensei as he fell into the puppet’s body. Now it was Doran’s turn to dive bomb as he came down with his fist out first aiming for the sensei’s stomach.

Doran felt an incredible amount of satisfaction as his fist sunk into his teacher’s gut. But the excitement was quickly replaced with terror as his sensei only smiled at him and took hold of Doran’s wrist. There was nothing the young student could do as his body and the mechanical body of his puppet were filled with surging waves of electricity. Doran rolled over and found himself laying on the ground unable to move from the lightning he’d just been hit with. He had not bothered to think about his teacher’s elemental affinities, for which he felt very stupid. The sensei knelt down and held a kunai to Doran’s through before declaring his victory. The teacher stood up and waited for Doran to regain his ability to move properly. Once that was over the student sat up and waited for instruction on the terrible training he was about to have to endure after just getting his hind quarters handed to him. His sensei handed him a leaf which Doran stared at confused. “I want you to place that on your forehead and use your chakra to hold it there for the next twenty minutes while you catch your breath. Then the physical torture will commence.” Doran only sighed as he complied and put the leaf on his forehead, holding it in place with chakra focused to the area. Those twenty minutes seemed like an hour since all he was able to do was concentrate on the leaf and keeping it from falling off. Knowing his sensei, he’d have to start all over if he let that happen. Once the twenty minutes were up, the sensei snatched the leaf and began instructing Doran on what would be his most strenuous training since entering the academy. He was given a set of weights to attach to his wrists and ankles and was then instructed to run around the path that his sensei had marked. While running there would be various targets that he was required to hit bulls eyes on with shuriken or kunai. After several laps Doran finally managed to score all bulls eyes and returned to his sensei to find him waiting with a headband from the Village Hidden in the Sand. He presented it to Doran and on the way back to the academy they shared the most pleasant conversation they’d ever had.

Shiori leaned back in her chair, an open book set on her lap. She stretched, arms raised high to work out the kinks from having stayed in a sitting position for several hours. Letting out a sigh, she picked up a scrap of paper and expertly folded it. All members of the Gami clan were taught the art of origami at an early age, it was customary. She wasn't making anything terribly complex, just a layered bookmark. It resembled the belly of a scaled lizard, or perhaps the shingles from a roof, by the time she was satisfied. Nodding to herself, she marked her place in her latest tome, and tucked it away for the next time. Now, now she had to report to the Academy, lessons would start soon. She wasn't particularly excited about this, however. She had read through much, enough that she already felt she knew everything that she could learn from actually going to the Academy. That excuse didn't fly with the head of clan, however. No, she would still have to go, and at least go through the motions, if nothing else.

Getting up from her desk, she made a last check of her supplies, the few items she would be taking with her. There wasn't many, ninja, especially ninja of the Gami clan, traveled light. She had a sheaf of papers, several pens, brushes and inks, and a few more generic tools. And one tool that no Gami was without, at least when in their home village. An umbrella. She had yet to master the art of manipulating paper to her will, so she couldn't just form an umbrella out of paper. That left her with doing it the old fashioned way. She opted for an umbrella rather than a large hat, because her umbrella was special. It looked ordinary enough, a cane-style umbrella, with a polished wooden handle and a brass tip. The secret was only revealed if she were to twist the handle just so... That would unscrew it, and allow it to detach from the rest of the umbrella, taking it's new role as a sword. A nasty surprise, if things went wrong to the extent that she had no other weapons.

She grabbed the aforementioned umbrella, her hand grasping it by the curvature of it's handle, using it more like a walking cane than it's other purposes. Once she left her home, she would open it, but for now, she didn't want any bad luck. She shouldered her satchel, and made her way toward the door of her house. This was harder than it sounded, because she wasn't exactly an organized person. she wasn't a slob, not per se, but she had stacks and stacks of books, papers, newspaper, magazines, pamphlets and more, all over her house. Towers of poetry, hills of fiction, mounds of recipes, all that and more. There was generally a single narrow path from one room to the next, which she had to follow to get anywhere. She always vowed to take the time to clean, but yet she never actually got around to it. And now that she was setting out on a journey, it seemed like it would be even longer before that day came.

Opening the door, she looked up toward the heavens, and frowned. No change, the sky was dark, completely overcast. It was still raining, just as it had almost every other day for as far back as she could remember. The ground was more mud than anything else, and there were rivers of dirty rainwater flowing along the sides of the roads. Lovely. She sighed, and opened up her umbrella, ducking under it's relative safety as she made her way through dreary and chill weather. She knew that if she got far enough away from Amegakure, the rain would clear up. But until then, she was forced to endure the perpetual rainy season.

Slogging through the mud, she wondered just how she would go about putting her plans into motion. For the most part, they mirrored what she had been told from her early years. To grow up into a strong ninja. That was where her own path differed from Hidden Rain's. Where she had been told to become strong to be of use to the village, her own goal was something else. To become strong for herself, for her own reasons unconnected to Hidden Rain. She hadn't told anyone about her goal yet, but she planned to eventually find out just what had happened to the Akatsuki. That name, even now, even here,w as still regarded with loathing, yet it had originally been made up from inhabitants of Hidden Rain, and had fought to protect it. How could it have changed so thoroughly, so intrinsically? She didn't know, but she would find out. To do that, however, she would have to be strong. Strong enough to actually go out and reform it, at the least.

It took time, but she did eventually exit the village. Her going was slow, with the rain and mud seeking to obstruct her at every turn. But she did eventually make it. Though by that point, the rain had grown into a rather fearsome downpour, enough that she was rather drenched by the time she left the village's borders. She sighed, stowing away her umbrella. It was still raining, even this far from the village, but since she was already soaked, then there wasn't really much point in trying to stay dry. She would dry out soon enough, it was the papers in her bag that she was worried about. She could always replace them if need be, but it would be a nuisance.

She thought back to the map she had studied before leaving, and shifted her direction enough that she would still be headed toward the Academy. It wasn't that far away, she could make the journey in just a few hours. And with any luck, only a small portion of that journey would involve rain. Already, the precipitation was noticeably lesser than before, the rain was weakening the further she got from Hidden Rain. Finally. She pressed on, eager to put more distance between her and the downpour.

Eventually, she emerged into more hospitable weather, the rain was all behind her now. She looked up and simply stood there a moment, enjoying the warmth and sunlight. Both were a rarity back in her village, but out here, they were in plenitude. She enjoyed it a moment longer before pressing on. With any luck, her clothing would dry out soon, it was rather uncomfortable as it was now. Likewise for her bag, it felt like it had taken on water, too.

Finally, her situation proved frustrating enough that she decided to take matters into her own hands. There wasn't anyone nearby to give her any trouble, so it seemed as good a time as any. even so, she felt a bit disturbed to have to resort to such things. Over the course of the next few hours, her clothes were hung up to dry, and her papers were spread out on the forest floor, sunlight streaming down on them. She was settled down next to a rock, taking what little cover there was to be had in her temporary state of deshabille. Even with no one around to see her current discomfiture, she was still understandably eager to cover up once her garments were dry. Luckily it was a pretty warm day, it wouldn't take too long.

During her predicament, she thought she heard someone approaching, and had instantly shrank back against the rock, knowing there wouldn't be time to hide her belongings. She held her breath, looking all around her, sure that at any moment a thug would burst from the shrubbery and do what it was that thugs did in such situations. Luckily that was just paranoia, as the rustling sound she had heard was only that of a rabbit hopping along, in search of food. It had sniffed at the scattered papers before noticing her, and then bolted, dashing back the way it had come. She smiled slightly at it's reaction, at least she wasn't the only one nervous!

It seemed she had to wait forever, but it only took just under two hours. Then her belongings were dry enough that she could get dressed, pack up her papers, and be on her way again. There was still a touch of dampness, but she could endure at least that much. She was late, lessons would be starting soon. Speeding up, she shifted to an easy run, and dashed through the forest, much as the rabbit had earlier. The wind blew past her, ruffling her medium-length blue hair wildly, her clothes loose enough to be treated similarly. As unpracticed as she was, combined with her outfit, she couldn't have looked any less like a ninja. Which was precisely her intention. She didn't intend to broadcast her status to every headhunter who came along. She wouldn't be caught wearing a blaze orange jumpsuit or bright green spandex. She would adhere to the true tenets of a ninja, and remain incognito, for purposes of infiltration or subterfuge.

She occasionally slowed to a casual trot, but never actually stopped, knowing she had to make good time now while she had the stamina to maintain such action. If the upcoming lessons were at all similar to any other, then the first would be largely sitting there and listening to various facts, figures and so on. She would have plenty of time to rest then. Already, during the rare break in the dense foliage, she could see a sprawling structure ahead of her. That had to be the Academy. She sped up even more, wanting to hurry up and be done with all of the running.

Only a handful of minutes later, she was there. On the outskirts, rather, the actual Academy was a bit farther yet. She could see other people around, so she slowed to a walk, not wanting to attract more attention than was strictly necessary. She soon found herself at the entrance to the Academy, a simple gate that likely couldn't keep out any determined attackers. But no one ever really wanted to attack the Academy, so defense was only of secondary import. The gate was currently open, the door spread wide to let in all of the students. Quite a few were already inside, chatting and hanging out. She was not the only one who had yet to enter, though. That meant she wasn't late, not yet at least. Nodding to herself, she eventually found someone who could tell her which class she would be a part of. And more importantly, where that class was to meet. It would seem she had been assigned to Flower Class, so she thanked the helpful person and was on her way. Thankfully, there were several handy guides in the Academy pointing out to newcomers like herself just where those classrooms were.

She found the Flower Class in short order and let herself in. As she did, she looked around, taking in those who would be her fellow students. They all looked normal enough, as far as normal could be applied to ninja hopefuls. Most of them didn't have any major clue to who they were or where they had come from, the same was likely true for her. That wasn't a problem, there was no location rivalries while within these hallowed halls. She took an empty seat and waited for the instructor to arrive so that class could begin.

She didn't have long to wait, the instructor soon arrived. She looked vaguely familiar, but Shiori was sure they had never met. Likely just a kunoichi who had achieved some degree of fame and then gone on to settle down and take over a teaching position in lieu of more active duty. She introduced herself as Hana Kiritsugu. She went on to outline the curriculum they would follow, what she expected of each student, and what they would be able to do by the end. The classes were short, only two to three hours a day for one or two weeks, depending on what was paid for tuition, and how fast one grasped the individual lessons. Shiori had no doubt she would learn very quickly, she had already read over much of what the lessons would entail.

And sure enough, over the next few days, her hypothesis would prove correct. She latched on to each lesson quickly, though not always the quickest one in class. That was fine, she had no great desire to be at the top. Not yet, at least. For now, her only goal was to pass all of her lessons quickly and completely.

Finally, it was the day of the final lesson. She had come a far away, learning how to feel her internal chakra, and how to utilize it in techniques of various kinds. She had even performed several techniques successfully, including two that she had read about in her home village. There were optional lessons to master such esoteric skills, techniques that one individual might have gained due to their unique upbringing. There was a decent number of students who took those extra lessons, Shiori included.

Now, though, now was the last test. It was a series of obstacles, exact nature unknown, upon which her new skills, ability to think on her feet, and general aptitude would all be tested. She was a bit nervous, but that wouldn't stop her from doing her best. Each of the students had been called to take the test, one at a time, in isolation. That way none of them would have advance knowledge, or at least that was how it worked in theory. It seemed a few of the students had a special skill or technique that let them take a peek at what was to come. She was jealous, to a minor extent. She would still do good, even without being forewarned.

And then, it was her turn. Her name was called, so she got up from her desk and walked out of the classroom. Her instructions were to report to the third exercise field, which only took a moment to reach. She looked around cautiously, but didn't see anything that seemed out of the ordinary. Was this to be her final test? Nothing? No, there was a large puff of smoke, had someone thrown a smoke bomb? The smoke cleared, revealing a new scene around her. Curious, had the entire obstacle course just been summoned? How unusual!

She couldn't see the instructor, but she heard her voice. All that was said, was that she was to attempt to get through the entire course in as short a time as possible. There would be no opportunity to retake the test, this was her only chance. Shiori nodded, she was ready to begin. Without further ado, her instructor gave her the signal to go ahead and begin. Shiori exhaled deeply, then rushed forward, eager to put her best effort into clearing the obstacles in front of her.

The first obstacle seemed ordinary enough, a series of wooden pillars and beams creating a bracket for a rope swing. And sure enough, there was a pool of mud below. Just like what one might find in any ordinary military training camp. That alone marked it as a feint. The rope was attached to the middle of the structure, and hanging on the near side, to make it easy to grab and then swing across. Too easy. Instead, she charged right for the structure, gaining enough speed to actually run up one of the pillars. She had foregone the use of the rope, in favor of using one of the techniques she had been taught, that of the Tree Walking Technique. As it turned out, she had made the right choice. She had had no way of knowing for sure, but she had been correct in assuming the rope was a trap. If she would have tried to swing across the pit, the rope would have ripped right out of it's moorings and sent her into the filth.

She landed nimbly on the other side, having scaled the entire structure and dashed across it in short order. The next obstacle looked simple enough, a basic rope climb. There was no trick that she could spot right away,a dns he was being timed, so she had no choice but to simply grab this next rope and try to shimmy up it's length as quickly as possible.

But there was a trick, of course. There was no way of knowing if it had been a delayed jutsu, or if somebody who was hidden even now had sabotaged her, but once she had gone half of the rope's height, she felt the rope grow sodden with a grease-like substance. This made hanging on almost impossible, and she felt herself beginning to slide back down the way she had come. She refused to give up, however, and tightened her grip, even though it made the rope bite into her palms. Gritting her teeth, she stormed up the rest of the rope, in a hurry to reach the top and save her hands from even more pain.

It hadn't been easy, but she had made it. She had clambered up the rope's entire length, even with the grease or whatever it had been. She waved her hands as she straightened up, hoping the pain would go away. There was only one more obstacle now. She was standing right next to it, a zip line? Shrugging, she grabbed on to the waiting handle, ignoring the flash of pain that erupted in either hand, and jumped off the platform.

She could hear the shriek of rope as it whipped through the complicated system that made up the pulley she was hanging on to. This didn't seem like much of an obstacle, though. There had to be a final trick, a last test of her ability! And sure enough, she felt the pulley lurch as the rope fell away. Once more, the rope had proven cruel in it's role in her test. She began to plummet, only halfway down the rope, and looked below her. Only to feel panic, as the entirety of the space below her was filled with very sharp wooden spikes, waiting to impale her. That was a little extreme for a training exercise, wasn't it?

As she plummeted to her demise, Shiori tried to think of something, anything, that could help her. But the only thing nearby was the pulley. Even the rope had already made some distance away from her. Wait, that was it! With a cry of righteous indignation, she simply hurled the pulley at the finish line. Was this petty anger? No! Even as her body was an instant from a pokey doom, she disappeared in a puff of smoke. A last-second Substitution had managed to switch her with the pulley she had thrown. Panting from the intense experience, she stumbled onto the platform that was the final goal, and heard the pulley hit the spikes with gruesome force. She... she had done it! She flopped over onto her side, breathing heavily, chest heaving, unable to even bring herself to sit up.

The instructor had the good grace to give her time to catch her breath before telling her to move along, so the next student could take their test. As a final warning, she was told to not reveal anything of the final exam to any of the other students, on penalty of immediate expulsion. She could barely nod, there was no danger of her spilling any secrets.

Once she finally made it off the course, she dragged herself back to the Academy's cafeteria, but simply took a seat, rather than bothering with a meal, or even a drink. She just wanted to rest, recover, and maybe get her hands looked at by the resident medic-nin. She wondered if any of the other students had found a better method, rather than sheer de3termination, to get through that part oft he exam? She wasn't about to ask and find out, though. It seemed she wasn't the only one who had come to the cafeteria after the exam, there was already over a dozen other students sitting and chatting. Were they trying to get kicked out?

She ignored them, not trusting herself to speak without accidentally letting something slip about the exam. She wasn't about to jeopardize all of the work she had done on a moment of gab. So she just waited. Eventually she felt up to moving, and went ins earch of the medic-nin. A few moments later, her hands were good as new, save the bandages that covered them to no purpose. A healing technique had removed the damage, even cleaned off the grease that still remained. But the medic-ninw as adamant that she keep the bandages one for the next two hours. Sighing, she nodded, and left the infirmary.

Time seemed to fly by after that, as the last of the students took their turn, and then everyone was eventually called back to their classroom. She slumped into her chair as the instructor immediately went into a predictable speech about duty, honor and all of that sort of thing. A final lesson? Not quite, just some words of wisdom for the graduating students. It seemed every one of them had, which was a rare pleasure, but a few stood out in particular.

The instructor singled those out, to the envy of the other students. A young Hyuuga, who had breezed through the entire course with the second-best time. A young girl from a faraway village, who seemed to possess immense power and simply bulldozed through the entire course. And finally, the student possessing the best time, 'Jiten Shiori!' Shiori blinked, had she really done the best?! She shakily got to her feet and staggered up to the front of the classroom, with the other singled out students, to receive their headbands, and a little something extra for their achievements.

She bowed deeply as she thanked the instructor, her bandaged hands barely able to hold the small parcel containing her headband and the other unknown object. She had done it! She felt stronger than ever before, like the entire world had been opened up to her. Now, she could go forth and truly follow her own path, even if she was technically at the beck and call of Hidden Rain's Kage. As she made her farewell from the Academy, she took one last look at her classmates and instructor. Wondering if she would ever see any of them again, and if they would be allies or enemies when that day came. No way to know now, all she could do was prepare for it by becoming the strongest kunoichi that she possibly could!

"Ehem.. Lets get this bullshit over with, alright Teach? I've been here enough times already, I should be able to get along with this bullshit without too much hassle... Don't you think?" A darkly dressed boy says as he walks through the doorway and into a rather crowded classroom. His partially hidden eyes only scanned the room once, he did not care all too much about the way things looked now. Dressed rather casually, despite the dressy yet un-kept jacket and tie that he wore. The pale boy turned his gaze to the teacher, even before they had begun to reply to him, his cold gray eyes peering through the shaded lenses of his glasses as the slick curve of a smile fell across his lips."Excuse me? I have never seen you in my life.." The teacher of this class said, as they took on a rather upset appearance and then began to look rather unkindly upon the boy who had waltzed so suddenly into the middle of HIS class and started acting so cocky and actually insisting that this class already hurry up and finish. With a raise of his hand, the Teacher pointed to one of his prized students, who had been learning things at a much faster rate then the rest of his class. "Spar with my best student, if you think you have learned everything before even entering my class!" He said in a slight fit of anger, as he brought his hand down onto the table before him. The boy that was gestured to let loose a grin as he leaped upwards from his seat and bounded down the stairs to the main floor. The new boy simply turned his attention onto the bounding kid as he slowly nodded his head. "Fine.." He said simply, taking a single step back and simply shifting his footing. "Begin!" The teacher declared, as soon as his prized student's feet landed firmly upon the ground. Without any further words, the prized student turned opponent bounded forwards towards the new kid. Shifting both hands behind his back, and drawing out twin kunai rather flawlessly. "Bringing weapons to class? Shame on you." Ares said, as his wicked smirk widens further, his left arm shooting upwards a second before the attack even began under way. The moment the attack was launched, his arm was already in place and the kunai landed harmlessly in the air, with the boy's arm blocked by a hard metal plate that was his studden armlet hidden beneath his clothing. "My turn.. Strike." He said simply, with his eyes turning to look upon the second kunai, immediately the boy's eyes widened as his weapon shot forwards towards the new kid's gut. Of course Ares knew this was going to happen, he had practically forced the boy to do it. Shifting his body slightly, the weapon shot passed him, allowing the opening he needed to bring his knee upwards and into the boy's stomach, actually raising him into the air. "I have fought many battles in my life times... And the easiest were always the slaughtering I committed in this pathetic establishment.." Ares says, as he shifts his grip from the boy's arm to his throat, lifting and chucking the kid away from him and into the tables a distance away. "And I believe.. That's Checkmate." Ares says as he turns his gaze back onto the Teacher who was standing dumbfounded on the other side of his table like desk. The best student in class was just defeated by some new kid who shouldn't have any real skill at all? Who the hell was this kid anyway!? Becoming more angry every second, the teacher took one step around the table and began waking forwards towards Ares. Ares' eyebrow rose slightly, as he watched them make such an advance, the kunai he had disarmed from his opponent lay upon the ground at his feet, a simple half glance down proved this thought to be true. "Get out of my classroom... I will not teach you a damned thing! You have no tact! No Skill! Brute force will get you no where as a shinobi, you stupid useless piece of s**t!" The Teacher said, his anger constantly growing higher and higher, as he got closer to arms reach. The moment he pulled his fist back, and thrust it forwards, it would connect cleanly with Ares' left cheek, sending him sprawling backwards and slamming into the wall, a puff of smoke immediately happening as soon as he struck the wall, a single kunai that was implanted on the ground earlier could be seen protruding from the wood, with no where for Ares to be seen.

Gash walks into the room ready to start. "Whoo, lets get this party started." He said before he saw the mood in the room. "Wow the feeling in this room is sooo gloomy. Lets cheer up guys come on!" He jumps on the table and starts to dance.
The teacher walks in. "Hello everybody. My name is Iruka and i will be you homeroom teacher. He sees Gash dancing on the table and yells out, " Hey you boy with the red hair, get down from there!"
Gash fell off the table when Iruka yelled at him. Hitting his head on the floor, Gash got up rubbing his head "Sorry teach. I was just trying to lighten up the mood in this room. If that's such a bad thing?"
"No. but dancing on the tables is just rude and makes you look like an idiot." Iruka said as he set his stuff on the table. "Alright classes today we are learning about your chakra element. But for this session we are heading outside."
The class screams "Yay!"
As the class heads outside Gash is pulled aside by the teacher.
"Ok listen, I know you weren't trying to cause any harm but dont try to be the funny guy ok?" Iruka said to him with a stern look. "I mean it too there are too many of you guys and its hard to handle."
"Yes, Iruka sensei, I understand." Gash replied as he looked at the ground.
"Alright, now catch up with the rest of the group." Iruka said with a smile.
As they both caught up with the rest Iruka starts talking to the class.
"Alright everybody there are 5 elemental chakra, Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, and Lightning. For an example i have fire chakra. Weaving hand signs Iruka says, Fire style Fire ball jutsu." He kept it fairly small and then released it and turned back to the kids. "Alright that was my element does anybody else know their own chakra element?"
Gash immediately raised his hand. "Oh, Oh i know mine." Gash shouted and walked towards the front. "My chakra element is lightning!" Weaving hand signs gash yells out, "Lightning style: Tornado Lightning Jutsu!" Holding the whip in his hand Gash whipped a training dummy close bye and then he released the jutsu.
Iruka looked at him then said,"That was good Gash, I didnt expect from you, but i guess you proved me wrong." Iruka said with a smile.
As Gash walked back into the group he was congratulated was being patted on the back by his fellow classmates. As the day went by more and more students started to show off their elements.
Gash raised his hand when everyone was done. "Iruka sensei how come we didnt see any wind style users? I mean i know their rare and all but why is that?"
Iruka looked at him with a blank stare. "Well thats a good question Gash, but i dont have the answer to it." He replied back. "That would be a good question for your parents or even the Raikage."
"Alright Iruka sensei, thanks... i guess." Gash looked at Iruka sensi with a smile.
"Alright everybody that's it for today's lesson. If any of you have anymore questions just stay after class or ask them tomorrow during glass, ok?" Iruka sensei said before ending the class.
All the students replied with an "OK" as they walked out of the academy. Gash was heading home for the day because he was exhausted.
*5 days have past since the first day of school. During those 5 days gash and the rest of the kids learned about the 5 great nations and trained with their shudiken and kunai technique. They also learned about their village's history, but that was a boring class that gash doesnt remember much about. Today gash doesnt have class.*

Gash gets up from his bed and stretches. "That was a good night sleep.. Wait! I dont have class today." Gash jumps out of bed and quickly gets dress. "I think imma go find Kisake and go eat some roasted pork!" Gash runs out of his bedroom door to see his dad in the kitchen. "Hey dad im going out. I dont have school today so you dont have to worry, ill be back later on ok!" He said as he jumped out the door. Gash saw Kisake walking in town so he decided to follow him for a bit before asking him if he wanted to hang out. As Gash followed him around, Kisake walked into a store and didnt come out for a bit so gash jumped down to see what was goin on. When he landed Kisake ran out and tackled him. "come one man you really think im that dumb? I was onto you for a while now." Kisake said with a smile. "Ok, ok you got me happy?" Gash said in return. "now help me up!".Kisake got up and so did gash. "So what do you want gash?" "I was wondering if you would want to go get something to eat, like roasted pork?" He said while he was dusting himself off. " have this coupon for some awesome pork place in here town."
"Ok fine. You know you could of just came up to me and asked me that." Kisake said with a funny look on his face.
"I know but this was more fun." Gash said laughingly. " I mean whats the fun of just asking you something when i can do things the hard way."
"Um.. doing it the easy way?" Kisake replied confused. "So where is this place you wanna treat me too huh?"
Gash thinks for a bit. "It should be right....here." He looks up and sees the sign. "Hey looks like where here already. How strange is that?"
Kisake looks at Gash and starts to laugh. "I dont know but lets go eat."
They both walk in laughing and smiling. "Hey old man! can you get a table please?" Gash yelled out. The old man walked over and seated them. " hey can we get the special please?" gash told him as they sat down. The old man took their order and left.
*2 Hours later after finishing eating*
" O man im full!" Kisake yelled. "Thanks gash for treating me to that."
Gash looked at Kisake." Yeah, anytime but guess what, Next time its your turn to treat me." Gash laughed while rubbing his tummy. " Well Kisake imma go train all this extra weight off."
Kisake and gash both said bye to each other. Gash went off to the training grounds. Gash started to concentrate on his chakra. He weaves hand signs and says," Clone jutsu!" the 2 walked away from each other and the clone threw a kunai at Gash. Forming hand signs quick. POOF. a log was in his place.
Gash does this multiple times until he gets tired. then he takes out something to eat again to restore his energy.
Gash walks over to the closest river. Controlling his chakra he slowly starts to walk on the water. After a while he gets a hang of it and starts to run on the water seeing what it was like. When Gash was done with that Gash walk on shore to start his tree climbing training. Controlling the chakra in his feet starts to run up the tree. Getting higher and higher on the tree Gash finally reaches the top and takes a rest. "Ugh why do i do this to myself, its sooo tiring."
Jumping down from the tree gash runs home because it was starting to get late and he didnt want his dad to worry about where he was. Gash entered his house," Dad im home!" Gash yelled randomly not knowing where his dad was.
"How was your day Gash." Gash's dad said coming out of his room.
"Long and tiring, but overall good. I treated Kisake to lunch at that new pork place." Gash said as he put his stuff down.
"O that was nice of you. So how was that new place?" Dad said curiously.
"It was awesome dad, you should go there sometime the food is great and the old guy working there is so nice."
"Ok son thanks for the advice, well if anything son imma go to bed its getting late, you should go to bed to you have school in the morning again."
"O yeah dont remind me." Gash said as he watched his father walk into his room. Gash walked upstairs and out his window to sit on the roof and look at the stars. As he sat there he started thinking about school, his father, his future. "I wonder if i can become as successful as my own father. I really hope this academy really helps because then all my training would go to waste if it didnt help at all. I wonder what my future as a shinobi will be like, I really hope i can go far." Not getting any answers to his questions Gash climbed back into his room and laid in bed looking at the ceiling until he pasted out.
*Next morning*
Gash woke up due to his alarm. Gash got dressed super slowly rubbing his eyes once and a while. Gash ran out of his room grabbing his lunch off the table. As he ran to the school he said hi to everybody he passed. When he got to the academy class was about to begin. For some reason the class was joyful when Gash walked in. "Hey whats going on here?" He ask curiously. No one answered him so he just sat down as normal.
Iruka walked in and announced what they were doing for the day. They were having sparing sessions. The whole class walked to the training arena and prepared to spar. "Alright the first 2 up are Gash and Rukira." Iruka said to everyone. " There are no ninjutsu aloud only taijutsu."
Gash and Rukira walked up and faced each other. Rukira made the first move and charged at Gash and threw some punches. Gash quickly backed away avoiding the punches and kicking up making contact with his chin. Rukira rolled to the ground once he got kicked. gash walked back into the crowd yawning. "So who's up next teach." gash asked Iruka.
As the day went by sparing just kept on going and going but seeing fighting at this level bored Gash. When school had ended gash got bored so he walked out into the woods to explore a little bit. As Gash walked around he heard the clashing of steel so he ran to the sound. What he was was a battle between 2 ninja's. He watched as the 2 fought intensely. Wanting to join the battle Gash was being jumpy but he knew that if he did join he would be defeated fast. He watched as one of the ninja defeated the other and took something from the dead ninja laying on the ground and ran off. Gash not knowing what to do ran home to tell his father what he just saw. Running into the house gash found his father. "Dad i just saw 2 shinobi fighting and 1 die." Gash said loudly still shocked by what he saw.
"Really!? We need to report this to a jounin right away." Dad said. "tell me everything you saw."
Gash told him about every, how the one shinobi killed the other and stole something from him to running away.
"Alright thank you son, that was great help. now you go to bed and ill handle this from here." Gash's dad said with certainty.
"ok dad," he said as he walked to his room.
As he got ready for bed he could hear his father talking to another person about what just happened. Gash couldnt hear much but he did manage to hear one thing "war". Gash freaked out not knowing what to do, so just got in bed and looked at the ceiling thinking until he past out.
*next day*
The next day Gash didnt have school because it was canceled due to an emergency. So gash walked around town asking people if they knew what was goin on. Nobody seemed to know what was goin on either. Gash walked into a store to get something to drink when he over heard 2 jounin talking. The 2 were talking about a battle that happened yesterday between 2 ninja. Gash wondered if they were the same 2 ninja he had seen. Curious Gash ran home to his father. "dad whats goin on, i overheard people talking about what i saw last night." Gash yelled as he ran into the house.
"Well son, i have somethign to tell you please sit down for this." Dad said pointing to a chair as he sat down himself. Taking a drink of tea before speaking he says. "Son how do you feel about battling and going to war?"
Gash with a surprised look on his face replied," Well im not quite sure dad. i mean if i have to id be on with it, by why do you ask?"
"because son what you saw last night, is a sign that the next big ninja war is coming soon! and well need all the help we can get, and that even includes you son."
gash freezes up not knowing what to say. He just sits there staring at his father. He finally gets to say one word,"Fine."

Tiburon scowled and crossed his arms in contempt, leaning back in his chair and placing his feet on the desk infront of him. He looked away from the instructor, who guffawed and waved his arms angrily at the attitude the young man was showing. He didn't pay any attention to the teacher, he had no interest today. Instead he stared out the window at the birds that were flying by. His scowl only grew deeper, so instead of watching the birds he would turn back and pay attention to class. Tiburon really didn't hear a word that the man was saying, something about walking on water or trees. Chakra in the feet, adhering to the surface or providing equal force. It took several minutes for Tiburon to realise the teacher had stopped talking and was now staring at him. Again the young-man sneered at the teacher. "...What?" He would growl at the teacher, who seemed to flinch at the animalistic aggresion. "..y-you need to pay attention." The teacher attempts to reprimand him. The attempt failed, mostly in part due to the stammering. Instead Tiburon growled again, baring his fangs at the teacher (who just flinched). The other students had already vacated the area around Tiburon and were already scared of him. He leaned back again, releasing his subconcious and dangerous grip on the table. "Teach us something already!" He would roar at the teacher. He was bored and needed something to preoccupy him. Wther or not the teach was willing to listen, he didn't really care. He was learning something important. Slowly he stands up and walks out of the classroom. The instructor makes some sort of gesture, as if to stop Tiburon from leaving. Preforming hand-signs infront of himself so the others could not see, Tiburon turns around and fires a water-bullet straight into the chest of the instructor knocking him off his feet. The teacher would be fine. Dazed, but fine. Tiburon grinned with malicious delight as he turned to leave once more, pushing open the door with llittle effort. He stretched as he exited the building, letting the sun's rays soak into his blue skin. Quickly, he preforms another set of hand-signs. Focusing chakra through his body, he disguises himself as an older citizen. He had learned atleast one thing from sitting in the boring, musty, old classroom.

Tiburon walked into the academy the next without regret or any noticeable trepidation. So what if he had assaulted the instructor?! He shouldn't have been so weak. Taking his typical place at the back of the classroom he noticed there was a new teacher; A female teacher. Well, Tiburon had his ethics. He wouldn't harm her. He would probably even listen to her, but he wasn't going to make it easy if he did. What were they learning today? He didn't know. Didn't really care either. Sitting in the back, he would look at the clock, then out the window. He hated classes, he hated having to be tought. Just wanted it all to be over with. Silently he huffed, a frustrated and heavy breath. Tiburon began to day-dream. About being the leader of his village. About controlling immeasurable power. What he wouldn't give to have such strength. Just like the kages. "..Pheh." He spat in disgust at his own fantasies. They were so childish. So stupid. Tiburon likened himself to a grown up, an adult with nothing more to learn despite being one of the youngest in his class. So lost was he in his own little world that he hadn't noticed the teacher walk up beside him, so lost was he that he started when she put a gentle and delicate hand on his shoulder. "Are you alright young man?" She would ask him. She was close enough for him to smell the perfume she was wearing, if that was what it was. It certainly smelled sweeter than what all the girls in his class were wearing, drenching themselves in the horrid crap to idolize the adults. Tiburon squirmed away, his face taking on a purple hue due to his blue skin. He was blushing. After all, no one had ever paid him any attention (atleast any good attention) or even shown the least bit of concern. Not only that, but she was attractive. Tiburon, being the hot-blooded young man he was, wasn't used to dealing with woman. She was beautiful to him..and she was right in his face. "I-I'm fine." He would attempt to growl, instead coming out as a low squeek. No one else seemed to hear him, but she certainly caught it. "Why don't you come with me? Everyone! Study page eleven!" She asks him, then shouts with authority. Some children grumble. Some say things like 'We've already gone over that.', but she doesn't seem to notice or mind. Slowly Tiburon stands, following her as she takes him by his hand. This action causes him to blush a deeper shade of purple as she tugs him outside. "They don't understand you. I know. But how about I teach you? I heard what you did to the other teacher, and I understand it was just for attention." She says, causing him to look away in shame. Shame? Why was he feeling that? He hadn't done anything wrong! Had he? "You can look out for yourself, but just remember you have to obey the law. Atleast to a degree." She whispers into his ear grinning. He smiled slightly as she spoke. She understood him. He didn't know how, or why. He didn't really care. She showed him things he had no idea he could do. Like walking on water. Or Running up walls or trees. She made him feel human. She told him to meet her in a secluded spot the next day, where they would train more.

Meeting th female teacher in the secluded spot behind the academy, Tiburon looks around uncertainly. He had never actually had to train intensively before. Infact, most techniques has come to him just naturally. Like the pieces of a puzzle, his brain just seemed to put things together. "One more thing you need to learn, then we're done." She says, looking at him coldly. What?! After this he would have to leave? No! No! Nononono! He didn't want to leave. Never! "What happens after that?" He asks calmly. She smiles, shakes her head, and crosses her arms. She wasn't going to tell him. Did she actually care about him? He was starting to have suspicions that she did. Suspicions, because no one had ever cared for him before. Not even his father, who was too cowardly to even look him in the eye. The final lesson? It was simple substitution. He ate the lesson up like candy, easily figuring out how to preform the simple jutsu. Then he turned to her, a smile of satisfaction and pride on his face. She smiled aswell, but hers was of sadness. "You're dismissed." She whispers, cutting the air with her hand.

Getting up from his bed slowly Gash yawns, and rubs his eyes. "Yeah. we dont have school this week!" Gash quickly jumped out of bed and got dressed. Gash picked u his kunai pouch and noticed it was light. "I guess I have to stop by the weaponry on the way to training." Gash muttered to him himself quietly. Once Gash was done eating the breakfast that his dad had made for him, he ran out the door into the street, ready for the day to come. Arriving at the weaponry shop Gash yelled out," Hello! anybody here i need a restock on my kunai and shudiken!" A small yell came from the back of the store, so Gash waited patiently. An old women came out of the back room and towards him. "well hello there, how may i help you, son." She asked him with a smile. "Um can i get a restock on my ninja weapons?" Gash answered her, while holding out his bag. As she took the bag to refill it, Gash walked around the store looking at all the different types of weapons. By the time Gash had come back to the counter the old lady was gone but his bag was filled. Noting knowing what to do Gash took some money out of his pocket and left it on the counter for the old lady. Before leaving Gash yelled out into the store "Thank You!" hoping that the old lady would hear him. Gash continued on his trip up into an opening in the forest wear he trains regularly. Once there Gash sets all of his stuff down by a tree. Walking to a nearby boulder gash sits onto of it and starts to meditate getting his mind ready for the training he was about to endure. Before Gash started meditating though he had grabbed a leaf and placed it on his forehead and attempted to keep it up using only his chakra. After a while of meditating and doing the leaf concentration, Gash set up multiple targets around the boulder. Standing onto of the boulder Gash jumps up in the air and does a 720 in the air releasing kunais at certain points so that hey would hit the target in the middle. Next Gash was facing a tree about 100 feet away holding his shudikens in both hands. Taking a deep breath Gash releases all the shudiken at once and making a straight line with them on the tree trunk. Walking out onto a river nearby Gash starts to build up chakra in his body. Gash starts to mold the chakra into lightning. Once at the right amount gash formed hand signs,"Lightning Style: Tornado Lightning. While holding the electric whip, Gash concentrates on the movement of the water waiting for the perfect moment to strike. As a fish jumps in the air Gash whips it with the electric whip, killing the fish. Gash does this several times until he has enough food for himself. Walking back to his stuff Gash spots Kisake. Turning to him Gash yells," Hey Kisake come over here i got some fish if you wanna eat that is!" Hear what gash had to say Kisake rushed over eagerly," Ok! So wheres the food?" Kisake asked Gash right away. "Not ready yet help me dig a hole and put a fire over it. thats the only way you getting any fish." Gash gave him directions as he wrapped the fish in large leaves. Once Kisake was done digging the hole Gash threw the wrapped fish in and they made a fire over the fish to steam them. "So Kisake what brings you out here?" Gash asked curiously. "O nothing just walking around, boredom. What about you?" Kisake replied also very curious himself. Gash replied that he was training like usual and had just got done with half of it and decided to catch something to eat. Before Kisake could reply to any of that Gash asked Kisake if he would want to spar, while the food was getting ready. Kisake gladly accepted so the 2 got up and walking into the open field. The two friends ran at each other exchanging punches and kicks. "You've gotten a lot stronger since the last time we sparred,Gash." Kisake said as he was catching his breath. "yeah i know, its because i push myself to train as hard as i can, Kisake." gash said in reply. Before Kisake could rest any longer Gash charged at kisake. Kisake realized what gash was doing and started backing up. Before kisake could get out of Gash's reach gash jumped up and threw down an axe kick. Kisake was still backing up but tripped on a rock and was caught by the axe kick in the stomach. Being hit Kisake held his stomach and laid on the ground Gash check up on Kisake making sure he was ok. Once Gash knew that Kisake was ok gash lifted him up and they walked back to the fire. Digging up the food Gash handed Kisake a fish and apologized for the injury. "O no its ok Gash, i mean if i didnt suffer these injuries, i wouldnt be able to call myself a shinobi." Kisake answered him while also accepting the fish. As they finish eating Kisake headed back for the village saying goodbye to Gash. Gash got back to his training. Gash pulled out a scroll from his bag. He unrolled it and released it. Appearing in front of him was a weight set and some ankle and wrist weights. After working out he put on the Ankle and wrist weights and but the weight set back into the scroll in which they had came from. Packing all his gear up Gash headed back to the village. Gash was running with his weight sets on, and this really tired him out but he forced himself to keep going knowing that this will help him in the future. Before gash went home he stopped by the weapon armory to thank the old lady again for what she did. As he walked in he saw her behind the front desk. Gash went up to her and thanked her. "Who are you again?" The old lady replied after Gash had thanked her. "um im Gash I stopped by earlier to get a restock on my ninja weapons and i left money on the counter. I just wanted to stop by to really thank you for your help." Gash replied looking kinda puzzled at first. As gash thanked her again he walked out of the armory and headed home. As gash got home his father was waiting for him with dinner. As they both ate dinner gash and his father exchanged information about each others day. As they finished eating Gash helped his father clean up before heading up to his room. As gash walked into his room gash yawned. "why is it that whenever im in this room im always tired." Gash said to himself. Gash went out the window and onto the roof, something he did every night to think before going to bed so that nothing is bothering him. As he looked up into the shy he could make up shapes with the stars. He started to think about the old lady at the armory and where she had went to. Gash looked at the moon as he saw that it was full and wondered will all his training be worth it. Getting up from laying on the roof, Gash slides down into his room. Seeing how messy his room was gash picked this up and cleaned a bit before getting in bed. Laying in bed with his hands behind his head Gash falls asleep with a smile on his face thinking about what he will be in the future.
