   NῘɠhtCʅan♦ ApprentῘce ♦ CurῘous and Stubborn Scorchpaw [Scorchpaw glared at Shadow, suspicion clear in her eyes. She wasn't sure if she bought Shadow's excuse, but before she could give it further thought he bounded away into the snowy forest. Dismissing the thought, she sniffed the air and continued hunting. As she did, she heard another terrible shriek of a bird dying painfully in the distance. She shook her head sadly but refused to get destracted] I have to hurry... I don't have much time left. [She thought. She sniffed the air. There were no mice or squirrels near by, but plenty of birds.] If I'm going to get any more prey and win this contest...I'm gonna have to hunt a bird! [Scorchpaw stiffened at the thought. She had a humiliating fear of birds. Swallowing her fear, searched for an unsuspecting bird on the ground. She found one, slid easily into the bushes and launched herself at the bird. The bird squealed, and she flinched and almost accidently let go of it. Quickly, so as to end it's pain and not let it escape, she snapped it's neck.] Well... that wasn't so bad I guess. She thought. She caught one more bird and decided it was time to head back. So she had a total of 3 mice, 2 squirrels, and 2 birds. Satisfied, she grabbed her hunt and went to return them to her other pile of prey. When she had placed them in the pile, she saw Shadow coming out of the bushes. "So, Shadow, how'd I do?" she asked smugly.Thex Celestial xRedx Light that Shines... Of Roses...

 The dark thought of ones mind... ☾Shadow☾ +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ [Shadow looked astonished at Scorchpaw's kills. She had more than he did.] Hm, oh well...she has proved to be a hunter but is she a fighter? [Shadow looked down at the apprentice, and meowed coldly.] "I see you have beaten me, clearly you are quite a tough cat to beat. But it's not over yet," [Shadow let out a big smile and began to laugh, he whispered in the apprentice's ear.] "Next is the battle, this will prove once and for all if you are to be a warrior, or a squealing kit begging for the comfort of their mother...Come with me, we will go deep in the forest, so no cat can bother us." [Shadow flicked his tail at Scorchpaw to follow, leading her to the place where he killed the bird against a rock. As they passed the rock he saw the blood, cold by now and frozen. He bet Dovesong's little apprentice could see it. He padded onwards until they reached a clearing, a good view of the Nightclan camp could still be seen. Shadow nodded grimly and yowled.] "Be prepared...to lose!" [Shadow unsheathed his claws and pounced on the little Scorchpaw, excitement and cold fury burning in his dark yellow eyes.] [Brokensoul could see it now...Shadow was going to kill Scorchpaw, he knew it. He didn't know this was just a test. Brokensoul let out a yowl, trying to gain control again. Shadow's resistance was strong, but now he could see what Shadow was seeing.] [Shadow hissed in his pounce.] "What are you doing Brokensoul!"

Also, just pointing this out, but, do cats know about Brokensoul's spilt personality thing? Because if they don't, everyone should refer to him as Brokensoul even when Shadow's controlling him]]

yes your right june and k sure Foxfur can find them but after the battle. And no they are not supposed to so they should call him Brokensoul even what Shadow is controlling him so ya biggrin

NῘɠhtCʅan♦ ApprentῘce ♦ CurῘous and Stubborn Scorchpaw [Scorchpaw hissed in rage.] I passed his test, how dare he challenge me again! [Scorchpaw took a deep breath and calmed herself. Dovesong had taught her that anger will only serve to blur you head and make you attack recklessly. "Shadow..." She growled in complaint but followed. As they walked through the forest, Scorchpaw saw a rock blanketed in frosted cold blood, and a few feathers plastered to it and covered in it's redness. Anger rose in her chest as she realized that this is where the sqealing of a bird dying painfully must have come from. It was harder this time to calm her anger, and it didn't completely die.] Who is this beastly cat who watches in amusement as creatures die slowly? [Scorchpaw had to admit, she was afraid now. They were alreay far away enough from the clan that no cat could hear the cry of another cat.] If I admitted defeat to this fight, would Shadow really stop? Would Shadow hesitate to kill me? Does Shadow know how to stop when things have gone to far? [Scorchpaw would hate to find out.] If I win, I won't have to worry about that. [Scorchpaw thought. Then they reached a clearing, and Shadow stopped. Scorchpaw immediatly knew this would be the place the fight would take place. She backed up, and squared her shoulders. Scorchpaw hissed in challenge, and dodged Shadow's attack. She countered without hesitation and swiped at Shadow's throat. Then she found that the anger she had calmed before sparked up again.] "THIS is for challenging me after I had already proven myself!" She launched herself again at Shadow violently.] "And THIS is for every poor creature you have watched die painfully for your own amusement!!" [Once again, she launched herself at Shadow, this time going for his throat with her teeth.] "You know what? You remind me of my parents heartless killers!!!" [She roard. Her vision was blurred with red at the edges. Hatred filled her heart and she attacked again and again with brutal speed at force as that she had never used before. She doubted Shadow had seen such speed and strength in a cat before.]Thex Celestial xRedx Light that Shines... Of Roses...

He began choking and found himself getting tossed around like a falling leaf. Shadow breathed heavily now, Brokensoul growled in rage. He was taking over.] No not now...t-this apprentice...I can't let her win... [Shadow fought back, baring his teeth. He ducked some of Scorchpaw's blows, anger and hatred filled his yellow eyes. He bit into Scorchpaw's shoulder, feeling her blood touch the tip of his toung. It tasted so good...it just made Shadow want MORE! This new rage was weakening Brokensoul's control, soon he would be lost in darkness if he didn't do something. Shadow let out a crackling laugh, mouth dripping with Scorchpaw's blood. He yowled in cold fury.] "You can't beat me apprentice! Just try and join you friends in Starclan!" [Brokensoul flinched, Shadow had gone insane with battle...power...and hate. Brokensoul tried again to take control but only found himself getting weaker. Finally he stopped and thought.] I-I have failed you Scorchpaw...p-please defeat this darkness...defeat me... [Brokensoul faded away into darkness. All that was left was the insane Shadow. Shadow jumped onto the apprentice's back, quickly pinning her down. Blood started to drip from his muzzle, he spit at Scorchpaw.] "Ha! Weak apprentice...you can't beat me, you will fall under my claws...you body left here to rot!" ((OMG Shadow gone mad...do something Scorchpaw! scream )) +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ can change you...

(We're saying that Dovesong warned me about it.)

NῘɠhtCʅan♦ ApprentῘce ♦ CurῘous and Stubborn Scorchpaw [Scorchpaw's anger did not die down. As she delivered blow after vicious blow, she caught a glipse of Shadow's eyes. For a second, they were destracted, as if thinking about something far away. Then, as she was about to land another blow, Shadow's eyes grew focused and filled with hatred and anger, and he countered the blow. Taken off guard, Scorchpaw failed to counter before Shadow's teeth sunk deep into her shoulder. She mewed and screeched in pain. She had never felt pain like that, and she found the it destracting. Blood matted her fur an even darker red than her natural color, and Shadow gave a grin full of gleaming red fangs. Now a fire lit Shadow's eyes, and Scorchpaw experienced the cat's love for killing and the want for more blood to be spilled firsthand. I wonder if this is how those two birds felt in their last moments. [Scorchpaw thought. She didn't need Shadow's next sentence to know things had gone way to far already. He's lost control. I didn't know what I was getting myself into. This is no longer a simple test...this is fight is a choice between life or death! If I lose, Shadow WILL kill me.[Before she could give another thought, she found herself suddenly pinned down under Shadow. His claws sank into her back. He...he's too strong! [Scorchpaw thought helplessly as she squirmed futilely. Scorchpaw's anger faded away, clearing her head.] "That's enough, Shadow!"[Scorchpaw spat. She rolled over violently, using all her strength to throw Shadow off. FOR MY PARENTS!! [Scorchpaw thought. She knew she was leaving herself open, and her life literally rested upon this next attack. If she could get to Shadow fast enough, she would go for his throat, and it would end this battle. If she wasn't fast enought though, she was left completely open and vulnerable and Shadow would probably kill her. Nontheless, she threw herself into the attack with no hesitation.]((OMG this is so epic what's gonna happen, what's gonna happen? You get to decide, HauntedKnight! No pressure or aything. [Shadow thought excitedly. He batted Scorchpaw to the ground, ignoring her words...they meant nothing to him. Shadow knocked her down, holding down a clawed paw on her chest and neck. He laughed madly and yowled.] "I will let you die slowly...letting you see your last looks into life!" [Shadow could feel Scorchpaw struggle under his claws, he liked it. He licked the blood on his muzzle the taste filling his senses.] [Brokensoul was lost in unconsciousness but could here some sort of cry. He could see Scorchpaw in the claws of Shadow...being choked to death. His eyes widened, he knew Shadow was going to do this! But Scorchpaw...has failed to get a hold of the real Shadow...all is lost. Brokensoul's eyes shined in the darkness of Shadow's mind.] No I won't let him do this...I am a Nightclan warrior and I protect my clanmates! [Brokensoul tried again to take control of his body, but all this rage...this torture was controlling him to stay away. He could hear Shadow's words...the same words that he used to kill that bird. Brokensoul tried harder and got a grip on one of Shadow's paws.] Yes it's working! [But his happiness quickly faded when Shadow noticed and he was thrown over. He growled and tried even harder. It hurt, hurt so much to take back control...pain coursed through his veins but he couldn't allow Scorchpaw to die under his claws. He could feel Shadow fall back but an yowl of anger filled his ears. He could hear Shadow spat.] I will come back...and kill her again, but first you are to pay Brokensoul! [With Shadow gone Brokensoul took the paw off Scorchpaw's neck and heaved a sigh of relief. He made it just in time too. Brokensoul felt weak, all of that took his energy away.] What if this happened again? What will I do? [Brokensoul thought, quickly shaking his head to clear away his mind, he didn't want anything to do with Shadow anymore. But he would come back. Brokensoul found his energy reached it's mark and fell to the ground with a thud. He looked at Scorchpaw and mewed weakly.] "I-I was...able to save you, to save you from the shadow who dwells inside me...t-thankyou f-or staying strong..." [And with that Brokensoul fell into unconsciousness.] ((How's that for ya Ruki! O and June Foxfur can come in now biggrin )) +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ can change you...

[She looked over Cinderwing, assessing his wounds. Something seemed off about them, but she couldn't put her paw on it, so she ignored it. She let out another growl and paced back and forth, pain crossing her face. Oh, StarClan, must you hurt me so much...? I can't even keep my clanmates alive...
Her eyes blazed fiercely, and she swung her head up.
That's it! NO MORE cowering in my den like a coward! I'm going to show these foxes that NightClan is not to be messed with and send them back to the dark pits they crawled out of!
She looked back at Cinderwing, her eyes fierce but firm.]

NῘɠhtCʅan♦ ApprentῘce ♦ CurῘous and Stubborn Scorchpaw [ [Scorchpaw found herself pinned under Shadow again after her risky attack.] I'm going to die... [She thought. She didn't have much energy left to fight, but her instincts forced her to keep struggling.] It's like a prison. I know I will die, but my body will continue to struggle anyways. Then something miraculous happened. Shadow stepped off of Scorchpaw and fell to the ground. [A wave of confusion overwhelmed Scorchpaw. Then she realized as the cat spoke, that this was not the Shadow she had been fighting a second before. This was an entirely new cat, the one that Dovesong had told her about. Brokensoul.] Brokensoul fell unconcious after his words. [Scorchpaw got up, wincing at the pain that shot through her body, and walked over to Brokensoul] "Brokensoul!" [she mewed in concern. But as strong a cat as she was, she was still young. She found that she was lightheaded from the suffication, and weak from injuries and pain. About a foot away from Brokensoul, her vision got blurry, and she found that she could no longer keep ahold of the ground. She fell unconcious beside Brokensoul.]((Okay Foxfur, time for you to find us. biggrin )) Thex Celestial xRedx Light that Shines... Of Roses...

[Mudnose looked up at Foxfur for a minute. Her tail graced the ground slightly as she smiled a little.] "I think I might go to sleep. I'm getting tired," [she meowed. Without another word, she padded to the warrior's den, settling into her nest. She smiled slightly as she curled up. She would probably get a good night's sleep tonight.]
