And the best you can do is fail at my character's race and make fun of me for something that wasn't even funny when it was first brought up, and everyone except for you has already agreed to that.

You're just making s**t up.
Your character is a dinosaur and you were mocked for it.

No. That's Minomusho.
My character is a dragon, who actually is roleplayed as a human 95% of the time.
Keep failing, f*****t.

I don't feel bad at all.
Rpging a dragon is just as silly, specially when you allow yourself to get boned through your brain.

Again, you're attempting to hinder the opinions of other people.
Just because you think it's silly doesn't mean I give a s**t. Roleplaying a human is silly, because it takes away from the creativity that this website and roleplaying is supposed to be based on.
My opinion.

Unhumanlike characters don't belong in arena combat.
Magicians/sorcerers or any character type that uses magic/whatever as a primary means of attack don't belong in arena combat.
Projectile based characters where projectile attacks being used as a primary means of attack don't belong in arena combat.
Characters that are absurd in size when compared to the average human, don't belong in arena combat.
I could go on...

The Vansin Well, once Vansin's done having his a** handed to him, we should absolutely set up a magic ship battle. I only ever got to actually use the damn thing in the BSB once, and I had to pull her out. I was way outclassed. That volcano has a department of defense... Shesh. Its just a few missile turrets, a railgun here and there, and some shielding. >_>

That's pretty much the skinny of it.
In a UFC styled combat arena, special powers, advanced weaponry, and other things that take away from the aspect of being human would give people too much of an edge. Even something as small as having clawed hands can tilt the scales a bit too far. If wrestling a tiger is a bad idea, wrestling a tiger with opposable thumbs and long fingers is insanity.
But in a combat arena where most if not all characters participating use special abilities, special weapons, and are above the average human in terms of strength, speed, resilience and perception, a lot of that stuff becomes relative. And instead of simply being a fight to see who has the most technical martial arts knowledge and the largest collection of supplementary photos, it becomes more about being a creative and entertaining writer.
Or at least that's what I hope people realize by now. >> In tournaments like these, having good knowledge of martial arts is a definite plus, but having that plus the ability to use it creatively and with entertaining posts is pretty much the key to scoring high and making it past the rounds.
Edit: And with that, I go back to Burn Notice.
