The Haelstrom Fist
Page III of the James versus Cyrus review in the OOC forum of the GTB is finished.

...it took a lot out of me.
Why are you bothering?

Oh yeah, I was gonna read that.

...

...

...I'll get to it.

Vizzle, how'd it go?

Old Man KB
because he's usually got some pretty solid bases even if they don't translate well.

Which, in the case that this argument holds water, translates directly to: "He knows martial arts but is a poor roleplayer."

Seeing as how credible something you do in a post sounds is directly proportional to the ratio of "what the ********" divided by "that was described well". Ridiculous amounts of wtf (say, 30) can seem perfectly reasonable with a high writing skill (say, 15), leaving the reduced fraction at a solid 2.

Lesser wtf (say, 20) with poor writing skill (say, 5) leaves us with a larger reduced fraction: 4.

Having 3x the writing skill for a move 2/3 as feasible sounds twice as good.

Got a kick out of this. 3nodding

I got to the actual charter rules and what the Mainstream "agreement" actually entails.

I'll probably get to it here in a bit, but I got the introduction, aim, how-to/why and benefits out of the way. Also have a rought outline I put together for the entire thread and the first 4-5 posts.

I like warjacks because they're a blend of steampunk and magic. They run on coal.

...unfortunately in the actual wargame such things are never factored into gameplay. It's just assumed that the battle will end before they run out of steam, since they have an average combat runtime of 3 hours on a full engine.

Neither one will appreciate your efforts on their behalf, and no one expects you to follow through with this.

You have nothing to gain from it, but if you feel you must.

Actually, both have contacted me regarding it several times, and I get pestered on MSN and the OOC by a multitude of people wanting me to continue it.. hell, today even.

Not that I particularly care. Again.

I must finish what I started. Even if that Page III made me go batshit insane, my god.

I'm actually in a steampunk club at school. Some of us went to Maker Faire in San Mateo.

Jello's always doing math.

Why isn't he out there, saving the world by multiplying numbers and s**t?

"These fractions are too large, if we don't reduce them they'll throw off the movement of this tectonic plate and cause an earthquake that could kill millions!"

"...call Jello."

Numbers are freakishly abstract.
