Kai was finishing up his manga when he heard the familiar beep of a Team Aqua Dual Screen. He went to where it usually was to pick it up, but Kai found it was not there! He ran all over the room, trying to find his TADS. "Ugh? not now...." He looked all over the place, finally finding it under his bed with a bag of Cheetos. "Yes! found it." Kai said, opening up the screen and looking at the mission briefing. He looked at what he was supposed to do. "Catch an electric Pokemon." He said, then he frowned. "I don't know where to find electric types." He said to himself, he figured there might be something on TV about it.

As Kai watched TV, it told nothing about any electric types. He then checked his TADS, knowing that the Pokedex part of the TADS could find Pokemon. He searched for Electric types in his Pokedex, and found Electrike. "Okay then, time to go catch a Pokemon!" Kai picked up his Pokeballs and went to the teleporter. He left the HQ and went onto the beach. He tossed out Carvanha's Pokeball, and the fish Pokemon jumped into the water. He got a little wet while he surfed to route 118, because his Pokemon was pretty small, but he was from Aqua and did not mind.

Kai got to Route 118 and started to look for his Pokemon, after returning Carvanha, of course. He looked around, not being able to find his Pokemon. He searched for a while, then he sat up against a tree, sighing. He might fail the mission. Then, out of the blue, an Electrike came and snatched Carvanha's Pokeball! Kai chased after the Pokemon, trying to keep up to its fast running. "Give it back!" He yelled after the Pokemon, but it stopped and hid the Pokeball behind it. It growled as if to say, "Mine." Kai glared at the Pokemon, he was going to get his partner Pokemon if it would be the last thing he did in his life. The electric type looked ready to fight. "Okay, It's time to get back Carvanha! Go! Turtwig!" The grass type came out of the Pokeball ready to go. Electrike tossed the Pokeball to the side with its mouth.

Electrike scored the first hit with Quick Attack, hitting Turtwig in the face, but Turtwig braced itself, only taking a couple steps backward, it's sturdy feet digging into the ground. "Electrike!" The foe cried out as it was hit by Turtwig's Bite attack. The electric type flipped over backwards, scrambled back to its feet and hit Kai's pokemon with Thundershock. "Mega Drain!" Kai commanded. Turtwig sent out green orbs at Electrike, swirling around the Pokemon, then flying back into Turtwig, healing health and doing damage at the same time. Electrike moved to the left, then jumped and rolled to the right, making it hard for Turtwig to get a good shot. "Tur...Turtwig." The grass type said while trying it's hardest to focus.
The electric type pounced up into the air, it's yellow marks shining in the sun. It covered itself in electricity then came down on Turtwig's head in a Spark attack, slamming Turtwig into the ground and causing paralysis. The dog pokemon turned to Kai, running up to him and using Bite on his shoulder, sinking it's fangs into the trainer. "Uagh!" was the sound that came out of Kai's mouth as he gripped his shoulder and fell to the ground. Electrike released the grip and grinned. The Pokemon prepared to finish off Kai with Thundershock. A long silence followed and a swirling sound could be heard in the distance.
"TUR......TWIG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Turtwig's ability Overgrow kicked in, and it sent a powerful Energy Ball attack at Electrike, slamming it into a hard rock nearby. The pokemon whimpered as it slid down onto the ground. Kai pulled out a Pokeball and threw it.
Once.... Twice... Thrice... DING. Electrike was caught. Kai returned Turtwig and picked up Carvanha's Pokeball, surfing back to HQ. "Mission complete." he muttered.
