shadow_dragon_13 [[wow sorry guys. im out to sea, hectic schedule, wasnt sure if this topic died. i will try to get back into the swing of things,]] Shadow turned to the left silently, as the captain had motioned. The tunnel suddenly grew darker and it was still easy to hear the scurrying of rats and the light sound of voices at the end of the tunnel. Shadow had gotten used to the stench of the fecces and mold in the tunnel. The tunnel suddenly came to an end, or so it looked from the adjusted sight of ones eyes to the darkness around them. Shadow halted suddenly, before the end of the tunnel. He then looked down the hole that was before them. This was an easy obstacle, exept for there was no telling how far the drop was, nor whether or not someone was at the bottom. They were trying to get to their destination without alerting anyone. [[for those that dont know my style, I italisize thoughts.]] Hmmm. I could manuver my way down there silently and scope it out. This hole looks small enough for me to support myself on the walls of it with proper pressure. Then if neccessary, I could silently subdue anyone at the bottom. He looked back at the other two. He informed the others of the situation, and his possible actions telepathically. He then waited for the captain's instructions. post one

XinrieArath ooc:: Mmmm.....time to get back in to the swing of things then xP So lets a go
Xinrie listened in silence before shrugging as if to say go for it. After all the tunnel was far too small for her as the captain to maneuveur around the kiddies to smack some guards around so he as the line leader had to. He just had to make sure he didn't plummet to the bottom and go splat. Fidgeting a bit in the wate rsoaked tunnel, she mentally began to guage whether or not she could get around Outai quick enough to save him if the hole did wind up being too huge and slippery.Ike took a in a deep breath before letting it all out in a sigh. "Anyway my dear Rookies." He spoke, waving his hand around to indicate for them to all follow. "We got a mission to do and the Commander looks busy doing paperwork so lets move out." Heading for the door, he'd open it only to sotp and stare at the other new rookie who had knocked on the door. "Oh....Uh, Commander I'm taking this kid with me as well." He called back to her his voice slightly muffled behind the wall his wings created. Turning back to Jon he smiled a bit as he slipped past ihm and in to the hall heading for the portal room.. "You follow me too." post 2

shadow_dragon_13 Shadow set himself into the hole. He pressed his feet against one side and his hands opposite. He slowly walked himself down the hole. He knew that after this, he would need a few minutes to recover his energy cause the hole was deep, about 50 feet. He did not look up while he went down. He focused all of the necessary energy on going down without mistake and silently. He had to be careful not to dislodge even pebbles or dust from the brick edges or else the guards below might become aware of them. He was about 20 feet from the bottom when his leg, tired from the position and ended up spasming at the wrong moment. He slipped and started to fall. Instinctually he re-maneuvered himself 2 feet from the end of the hole, still 12 feet from ground. His knee was pressed up against the wall and his arms were stretched out further in front of him. He waited a moment to determine the guard’s reactions below him. He readied himself for one of the men below to look up into the hole. That was when he would make his move. And just as he had expected, a man looked up into the hole to investigate the noise of Shadow falling and recovering. The man looked up to see a figure of some sort poised in the hole and a look of surprise, confusion and fear crossed the man’s face. Shadow pushed down and rotated his body for a forward flip. The first man fell unconscious when the top of Shadow’s head connected with his. Shadow landed on his feet in a crouched fighting stance. The other four men in the room stood in there locations surprised, confused, baffled and afraid for a moment. Then the second man came at Shadow and started to pull out his weapon. Shadow moved in and struck accurately before the weapon was out. The man fell to his knees winded from the blow. The third man started to move, but not quick enough. Shadow moved swiftly and struck the man in the neck, knocking him out. By this time, the fifth man had his weapon out and came at Shadow. Shadow stepped back, evaded the deadly swipe of the man’s sword. Shadow then struck the man with deadly accuracy and knocked the man out. Shadow was now close to the second man so he lashed out with speed and hit the man that was on his knees to knock him out. The fourth man was still standing, unmoving from his spot. He stood frozen with fear at the event that just played out before his eyes. A rancid stench lifted from the puddle that had formed under his feet. Shadow ignored the smell and walked calmly over to the man. He knocked the man out with one well placed hit. I wasn’t given authorization to kill anyone, and I don’t feel it necessary to kill innocent guards from another world or realm unless it is part of the contract and im told to.He walked over to the hole and called mentally to the other two. The room was clear and all that needed to be done was to tie up the men. He moved them to a corner and waited for the other two to make it done the hole. He didn’t have anything to tie the men up with so he had to wait. post 3

XinrieArath Ike looked to Brair. He raised his black brows a bit. "To be entirely honest, Yes. I do. Going through portals without permission from the Commander is an offense usually punishable by being tossed into the dpeths of the library for a little while. And let me tell you tha is not a pleasant place, the last guy who got lost down there came out mentall unhinged and babbling about demons. So not only did you break a law punishable by death, but you also broke one of the most basic of Mishap rules. Now, because you are a rookie, I will be lettin this slide." Without another word, Ike simply stepped through the portal, disappearing from sight. He reapepared in the portal room, listened to what Baltezhar had to say with a nod of aknowledgement and went over to the counter to dump his rapier off. They didn't need that in the angel realm. Xinrie smiled, he did a good job. Sliding forward, she crept past Outai, she would be taking the lead after this. Getting to the hole, the Captain reached both hands out to grip the sides, and then her legs stretched for extra support. Things like this, no matter how slick they may be, were easy for Xinrie. After all she and Kairin used to be a pair of high class thieves before thier Mishap Days. Actually, the slickness helped her slide all the wa down in one smooth fall. Reaching the edge, she let go and dropped the rest ofthe way down in a free-fall like action, landing upon the disgusting tile with a light thud. Standing, she'd signal Outai to follow before wandering to the guards to inspect the job Shadow had done. They were knocked out pretty darned good. Rope wouldn't be necessary because they wouldn't be getting up anytime soon.
ooc:: Uh...Ill be on rarely because Im working like 12 hour shifts the next couple of day -_-; So yeah Ill try to respond as I can. i think this is the last post for our story, Outai

((Life has been very hectic, and truth be told, I did in fact lose interest in Gaia while I concentrated on uni. Not enough though, had to fight tooth and nail to retake second year, else I would have been looking for another course. I managed to convince the course leader that I was worth taking on for second year again though, so I'll be starting again come September. Anyway, now that I'm home for the summer, expect me to post moar. That is, if I remember what the s**t I'm doing here.))
Sergei glanced at the man beside him, and then looked back to the perfectly circular swirling mass of colours in front of him.
"You want me to go through that, comrade? You must be mad. What is it?"
His left eye was suddenly obscured with a red tinge, turning the scene in front of him pink. Wiping his brow with the back of his hand, he realised that the wound on his head from the stone earlier must have opened up, as blood coated his hand.
"Looks like this wound is worse than I thought. I feel like I've drunk a bottle of grandpa's homemade vodka, my head is pounding."
((Right, that's me done. See you in another 5 months! razz ))

((right! thanks for the update! now i post!))
Outai had watched Xinrie and Shadow slip down the hole carefully, so she decided to follow suit. She slipped on her oiled leather gloves, to make sure her hands wouldn't get wet, before hopping off of the ledge and into the hole feet first. She kept her body straight so that she could free fall easily, with her hands above her head so that she could fit down the shaft. As she neared the end of the shaft, she stuck her arms out so that her hands slid along the walls, and even though they slipped a lot due to grime and moisture, it did help to slow her down a bit. Outai landed neatly in a kneeling position just behind Xinrie and looked up quickly, ready to fight if need be at a moments notice. However, as she stood up, she saw the guards that were knocked unconscious, and stood at ease. She smiled a bit behind her mask and gave Shadow the thumbs-up gesture, as if to tell him 'Good job at knocking out the goons silently'.

Shadow bowed with gratitude and honor two the two women. He walked over to where the other two were standing and waited for the next set of instructions. There was only one other entrance to the room they were in, and Shadow figured the captain might want to take point from here on out.

ooc::Er, Sorry guys because Im a Senior this yar I've beenhaving to do a whole lot of college crap this summer....And yeah we are one of the largest threads (Depsite our inactivity) Because we are one of the oldes ones here ;] Which is awesome
Xinrie took the point just as Shadow was suggesting, She sidled along the wall and slowly entered throug the entryway. Her guess had been right, they were just a few meters away from the meet point. Seeing no one else around, she gestured for the rest of her group to follow as she slunk further into the tunnel. And then, they would be blinded as the rbight moonlight suddenly hit thier faces once more. THe entryway would lead into a garden of all things. Roses and strange flowers, some of them even moving greeted the group. She smiled, pleased by the location, they were surrounded by huge hedges that worked very well at concealing them from prying eyes. "Okay....we can speak now." Xinrie whispered lwoly, signaling to the night sky. "Muter Barrier, nothing will be heard outside of this."
Ike shrugged. "Not really, No. But I don't much care to hear it. We're late." He looked to the others. "Aright everyone, Let's move on. Come on gather by the portal, take your weapons." He handed out the gns, they were hand guns similar in style to a glock, but crosses embedded themselves all along the metal work and the holsters. "You can use any bullets you like for these, the guns automatically shift to accomodate them. But these." He held up a specific package of ammunition. "Are the preffered brand, they are coated in Demon blood, so it's highly poisonous to those of my race....just so you know if you shoot me with this I'll personally come back to haunt you....plus The Commander might jsut have to cut your head off. Anyway! Moving on, Is everyone finally ready? Please tell me you are. Becausewe leave in thirty seconds....twenty-nine..."

Outai followed close behind Xinrie, with Mooney on her shoulder. As they approached the garden, the aweful stench of the sewer that seemed to permeate the area they had just jumped into was soon overwhelmed by the sweet scent of flowers. Some of them were flowers she recognized, and was happy to see again, while others were new to her. The garden itself filled her with joy, though it was a cautious one. They were still in a land she had never been to before, and she didn't know what awaited them just yet. "Mute barrier, huh? Sounds like something you could learn, Mooney." Outai said wryly. "Nice garden they've got."

Shadow followed the other two, this time taking up the rear. He was ready for the meeting. Things needed to be discussed. The mute barrier was a good idea. Shadow would wait in silence. He felt it unnecessary to speak then.

Xinrie glanced around the area, a silent smile creeping on her face. The smell of the flowers so countered the smell of human corpses.Being a necromancer meant that having to smell the worst stenches known to man was a part of the job. "Okay everyone." Xinrie said in a higher tone, signaling them forward. "Let's move. If I'm correct dear princey should be somwhere..." Her voice trailed off as she stepped further into the garden. Roudning the corner of a particualrly large head, Xinrie would stop and smile again. "Somewhere as in here." She said, casting her hand out to the large opend field of flowering plants where some teenage, brown haired boy sat on a stone bench, looking as if he were wearing some sort of fancy pajama set. "Hey! Sup Princey?" Xinrie called while walking to the royal kid.

Outai followed behind Xinrie silently. When she saw the boy, she measured him up mentally, though didn't really barge into his mind to read his thoughts. Doing so might have raised an alarm, and wasn't really needed anyway. He sure looked like a prince, even in his clothes that resembled pajamas. She was slightly surprised that Xinrie seemed to be so familiar with the prince, but also figured it was just her way of keeping things warm and friendly. Either way, she would find out soon. Mooney, on the other hand, jumped down off of Outai's head, and ran forward. He ran up to the boy and began cautiously sniffing around his feet and ankles, trying to sum him up for himself.

Shadow walked silently behind the two. His presence could have been forgotten. It was dark out with only the light from candles, the moon and stars. It was a beautiful night with comfortable weather. A young man sat on a stone bench. ‘That man must be the prince. Why does the captain speak to him so informally? ‘ Shadow kept his silence and stood at a distance where he could hear the conversation, but not be seen by anyone he didn’t want to see him. If anyone were watching, they would only see the prince, two others, and a cat.

Xinrie walked right up to the slightly startled prince. Slinging one arm over his shoulder she grinned. "Hey there, Mishap Mercs here, reporting for duty. So we hear you got some, problems with a princess and family and all that good stuff. Anyway, let me introduce myself, I am known as Captain Stalker, leader of this merry squad of mercenaries. I'll let the other's introduce themselves." Yeah, she was informal, but she was also actually doing something that would help them in the long run.
The prince blinked in surprise, looking between her and the others. "You are....the people I hired?" He asked tentativley, uncomfortably squirming in his seat.

So, Outai mused to herself, they've never met. I guess she was just trying to keep things relaxed after all. Somehow it seems fitting. Outai walked up to the prince and gave him a polite bow. "Indeed, it seems so. My name is Outai, and the cat that's sniffing your leg is my friend, Mooney. Come on, Mooney, be polite!" The little black cat looked up at the prince and meowed, almost as if to smile and say hi. "I guess we should start out with more specific information, like the name of this girl and her family, specifics about both families, and the schedules for both families for the next week or so. Then we can come up with some sort of plan."
