Fox goes along without a word, not really knowing where they're going, but not worried because he knows that the nightscout knows the woods in these parts better than the adept knows the inside of the vale.

They walk along, and have good conversation along the way. Arrow smiles and laughs alot, very glad that Fox has decided to come back to him. True to his word, Arrow doesn't drag him too far, but as the round the peak of their little adventure, Tobio mindcalls to Arrow urgently.
::bird!:: she exclaims. ::Wounded, can't move. Needs help!::
Arrow looks to Fox. "Uh... there's a wounded bird nearby, tobio found him... I think he's an unbonded one. I need to go check this out." he says.

"By all means, let's go." It wouldn't take that much longer, and Arrow may need an extra pair of hands, so it doen't take fox long at all to decide to come along.

When they actually find the bird, Arrow hisses in pain. The falcon's wing was most obviously broken, in more than one spot, and the thing was still trying to get out of the natual vine shackles which involves paining itself more. He tries to mindspeak to it but just receives frantic pleas for help in retturn. He sighs then and rips off part of his shirt bottom so that he can cover the bird's eyes and be able to help a little more.

Fox doesn't know what to do, especially since not being a Tayledras himself he doesn't know that much about birds. He just stays out of the way, unless/until Arrow asks him to do something.

Arrow blinds the falcon and manages to calm him enough to communicate a little. He finds out that the falcon's name is Lyr and that he;s unbonded. He manges also to calm him enough to stop him moving. He untangles the bird and sets him down. ::Now, I'm going to splint your wing after I reset it.:: he says. ::This will hurt.:: He looks at Fox. "Can you get me something straight to splint his wing with?"

Fox nods and goes off and does so more or less undescribedishly, bringing back a stick that just happens to be perfect for arrow's purposes cuz I said so.

Meanwhile, Arrow had reset the bone and was waiting for Fox. ::We're bringing you home with us.:: he tells the bird. Lyr sends back approval.

They bring the bird back to Arrow's. He settles down nicely. Arrow goes into his bedroom and sighs, collapsing upon his bed.

Fox follows his boyfriend into his bedroom. He raises an eyebrow at the sigh, "Tired?"

The adept shrugs. He'd never paid much attention to the way that sort of think works in a Tayledras vale, so he can't think of much to say to help. He sits on the bed next to arrow.

Fox blinks. It's true that one people suggested he take on a bondbird, he always said he'd rather take something predatorial than a little songbird, "Me? Arrow, I don't know a damned thing about birds."
