I'm hungry, and all we have are sauerkraut pierogies and some leftover ham.
*roots through fridge to find leftover chicken marsala or spaghetti*

I need to find a place that makes pi...piro...perosh...I don't even know how it's spelled. ^^; Pee-row-sh-kee? Piroshki? It's like a moist, flat roll stuffed with meat. The bread part was more like cake than bread, except it wasn't sweet, and the meat stuffing was rich and juicy and oh so delicious. A Russian deli I used to work near made them and I bought one as often as I could until they closed down. It was nearly twenty years ago, but I still remember the taste. heart
What is a pierogi?

Is a Pirogi some kind of stuffed pasta? It was referenced in Men in Black, I believe. *lives in fear of the Schwann trucks because one tailended her back in 2001* gonk ;;;

A pierogi is kinda like...a pieroshki, only different.
The outside is pasta-like, and it's filled with all sorts of things. The most popular fillings are potato, and sauerkraut.
I LOVE the potato ones...but my mom always gets the potato and cheese, which are kinda icky.
Paczi are the best though. Too bad they're only ever made on Fat Tuesday...

MIB was funny~ X3 I didn't like the second one so much except for that one line of Tommy Lee Jones' near the end. I don't know why, but I just love that...the way he says it. *fweeee~* I love his voice.
Whenever MCI calls and asks us to switch away from SBC I tell them that so long as Tommy Lee Jones voices over SBC's commercials, I will never switch to any other company. Then I just hang up on them.

[ Pierogies] (the kind Kimi likes) It disturbs me that you can buy them from Amazon. What bothers me more is that the site that linked me over to Amazon had them "used and new" ... used food? Eywwwwwww! *ahem* Anyway, I like them plain, rather than how they're shown in the picture. They come with just the potato-filled pasta shells, and I just boil them and eat them with some butter. Some people like to fry them and add veggies and such, but I'm a purist with my pierogies. Unless I'm feeling adventurous -- sometimes I'll dip them in Ranch dressing.

...you can buy food from Amazon.com? o_O
I dip French fries in mustard or ranch. Or if I'm feeling particularly unhealthy, mayonnaise.
Oh! Kewpie mayonnaise = TEH BOMB. I could eat that on anything. (Not really, but you know what I mean.)
