Man, if FotS rules in his favor, I totally have precedent for calling BS on Serpent Wave.
Not that I need to, really, but if that is considered OP then lord help him if he has to deal with a literal sheet of flame that is also like slamming into a wall.

I'm reading a bunch of peoples fights.
and like...
There is s**t being let into this tournament, that I just don't understand considering the destruction that was levied upon Tres.
Like why the ******** someone have a diamond katana that can absorb and redirect supernatural attacks?
Why was that let in? Why can that person also turn his hand into a dragon head that can spew out a torrent of fire?
Note that this isn't a rub on the person or players who are using it. That s**t is all cool. I'm just pissed at Vintrict as usual for having a double standard.
I just don't understand.

Sigil Warden You should check out my latest move vs Fierach and then cry bitter tears. I'm reading your fight too, but I'm not caught up. This is less of a critique on you and more of a critique of Vintrict. So from what I gathered, and correct me if I'm wrong, your character activates abilities using runes. These runes create minor offensive supernatural effects. These runes recharge with time. Now when you use these runes, they grant points that can be used for additional supernatural effects. So from that am I correct in saying you have a recharging supernatural resource that when used creates additional resources for your characters to use? To me this sounds like a mechanic that is only limited by time but is essentially unlimited. Your character has a full body force field, that while not invincible does provide significant protection around her body. Compared to the level of balance that Vintrict explained to me through the profile review process, it seems inconsistent with what I thought was the power level of this tournament.

Correct, the system is self-replenishing. It is limited by the fact that the effects generated by activating runes don't stick around on the weapon, their cooldowns, and the fact that none of them do anything unless my axe actually hits (And generally noone is willing to accept a solid axe strike from axes as massive as the ones she is using.) Hence the Runic Power system, which gives her a few utility abilities, such as the shield (which is basically just extending the armor's protection to everywhere), Death Coil, and Chains of Ice (which is really downright nasty).

I guess he could cut through it, sure, but doing so will stop the attack cold, since it doesn't transfer force.

Which is all fine in my opinion. For the purposes of a tournament I do dislike that it replenishes. In my opinion the effects that the runes activate not sticking around is a given not a limitation. However because those runes regenerate, the biggest risk you are taking are the risk inherent in the physical attack and the temporary loss of one of two of a total of 3 different types of runes. You aren't really taking a big risk in terms of the use of supernatural abilities because those resources are never really lost. Also, simply by using the runes you are benefiting because you get those additional points for other supernatural abilities. To be honest Sigil Warden, I like the system... but it does prove that Vintrict is a dumb a** who doesn't understand balance at all. Because for me, Vintrict made a big deal over Tres creating a damn sword. He has to hit with that s**t too and he doesn't regenerate any of those expended resources nor does he produce anything, save for the knife itself for only about 2 post.

The armor absorbs the force striking it, instead of transmitting it. It's like hitting a wall, except the wall ignores the law of conservation of energy and your blade hits it and stops, losing all the momentum and kinetic energy behind it.

Nah I have a trick designed to punch right through that kinda shield.
It is a nice system. but from what I saw in the grading process it does seem in some ways inherently over powered.

I have several multiple-rune strikes. I just haven't used them yet, besides Death Strike. The other thing is, there's a tremendous amount of advantage in being able to conjure whatever weapon you please. Aetyra only has her axes (and her fists, but she's a brawler at best, she has no martial arts experience).
