 The dark thought of ones mind... ☾Shadow☾ +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ [Shadow looked back to see Scorchpaw following, nodding he padded onwards. Once they were far away from the Nightclan camp Shadow stopped and meowed.]"Here is where is begins, I'll hunt in those bushes"- [Shadow pointed with his tail.] "Near the Seaclan border." [With that Shadow bounded away, his senses alert, ears pricked for signs of prey. His ears perked when he heard a thrush pecking at the ground, looking for bugs. Shadow got into the hunter's crouch and slowly began to go after the bird. Eyes on the target, claws unsheathed he pounced on the thrush, putting a paw on its' neck. He looked down and let out a laugh as he watched it struggle for life.] I'll let it die slowly, to let it look at it's last glimpses of life! [Shadow thought darkly. When it stopped struggling and grew limp he buried the prey by a pine tree and kept on searching for prey. Soon Shadow caught two voles, a mouse, and one scrawny squirrel. NῘɠhtCʅan♦ ApprentῘce ♦ CurῘous and Stubborn Scorchpaw [Scorchpaw watched Shadow bound off into the forest. Quickly, she began searching for her own prey. As she was searching for signs of prey and sniffing, she heard the cry of a bird in the direction Shadow had gone in. It kept shrieking and shrieking, though Scorchpaw knew Shadow could have killed it by now. She shuddered to think that he was letting it die slowly for his own amusement. She was afraid of birds, and didn't like them, but she wouldn't do something like that to it. Scorchpaw found the scent of a mouse, followed it, and quickly and efficiently killed it just as she had practiced with Dovesong. She put it gingerly by a tree and continued to hunt. Eventually, she caught a total of 3 plump mice and 2 scrawny squirrels. As she was stalking a third squirrel, she heard a slight rustling of the bushes. What was that? [She wondered. Destracted, she turned and accidently stepped on a twig. The mouse heard the snap of the twig and fled.] Dang...it got away. [Scorchpaw thought. But she had another matter to deal with. She crawled up to the bushes and... "Shadow!" she hissed.] Thex Celestial xRedx Light that Shines... Of Roses...

The dark thought of ones mind... ☾Shadow☾ +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+ [Shadow stiffened as Scorchpaw caught sight of him. Instead of running he put on a fake smile and mewed calmly.] "Hm, looks like you found me...don't mind me I was just looking for prey until you accidently bumped into me. Silly Scorchpaw..." [Shadow looked at the apprentice once then ran away, back to his store of prey. He huffed a sigh of relief, hoping Scorchpaw would buy that lie for a bit. Shadow noticed she had alot of fresh-kill. Shadow growled.] I can't lose to that apprentice, I'm stronger than this. Shadow went over by some trees and started to look for more prey. He grew unlucky and missed a mouse and a bird who gave a warning call when he stumbled on some crunched leaves. He let out a low growl, tail dragging in the snow he tried to search for more knowing he couldn't lose. Shadow's hopes brightened when he saw a mouse and a bird close by. He cautiously moved towards them, the snow quieting his steps. He pounced killing the mouse easily, but the bird started to fly, startled by the noise. Shadow wouldn't let this one escape and jumped in the air, knocking the bird on the ground. It tried to gain consciousness but Shadow picked up the bird by it's tail and flung it on a hard rock. The bird died quickly, blood spilled on the rock. Shadow let out a sly grin and took his kills back to the pine tree and began collecting his prey. Geez, I didn't think he was serious, he thought guiltily. I was going to tell Lavenderrain, but he'd just get mad that I didn't say that before he walked through those thorns...
Guardiankit shuffled forward, keeping his eyes to his paws. He frowned and felt another wave of guilt wash over him.
I'm helping out with the murder of a cat. That's against the warrior code! What do I do? I can't keep it a secret, but Cinderwing would get in big trouble...and I mean, big trouble! Ugh. I know he's not a bad cat, but...what do I do?!
The little kit squirmed, and quickly shuffled into the nursery, his eyes downcast and his movements jerky and nervous. It was obvious something was wrong, but he tried to hide it as best he could.]
(( Ana, is it okay if Guardiankit tells soon? xD He's a kit. He can't keep secrets vury well. :c

[I watched Forsaken leave, watching with wide eyes as he disappeared. I let out a soft sigh, my heart aching for him. StarClan...give me the strength to confess to the real Forsaken one day... I prayed.
I felt strangely thirsty. And then, more thirsty. Yes. I was very thirsty...and famished. Strange.
I turned around, ready to crawl the short way back to camp, and then almost screamed.
A dead squirrel lay in the little spot I had dug in the thicket, where Forsaken and I had conversed. It was bloody and dripping, as if just freshly killed, but something was wrong. There was a puddle of blood under it, too much blood for a little squirrel to bleed. It smelled faintly of me myself.
I stared at it, horror rippling through me. Had it been there before?
No.
Was I hallucinating?
...Maybe.
I shuddered again, staring at it in a crouched positon, tense and frozen in fear with my fur fluffed out. This is what happens when he leaves, it's always what happens, a voice whispered to me. There's work to be done, work to be done.
I saw a fly buzz out from the thicket, a fat black fly with crimson little red eyes. It landed on the open eye of the squirrel, stalking across the surface of the ball. I found myself drawn to it, staring at it without the ability to look away.
The fly slowly turned around, facing me.
I stared at it.
And it stared back.
Hate. Destiny. Love. Fate. Feel. Grasp. Kill. Hunt. Dream. Win. Die. Flow. Drip. Bleed. Dent. Curve. Crack. Break. Shatter. Kill. Sharp. Sheen. Filthy. Ugly. Disgusting. Terrible. Horrible. BLOOD.
The squirrel's mouth was open, blood dripping from it senselessly. I was certain now. It was my blood, dripping from the squirrel's mouth. That fly, that little black fly, it owned the squirrel now. It owned it. That was all there was to it. And now that it was dead, there was work to be done, work to be done. Lick the bones clean, it told me. Clean and bare.
The squirrel's mouth was open, and it was a black yawning hole. I leaned forward. Open and deep and irrefutably inky black. A cloud of flies came, pouring in from the thicket around me, all big and black and crimson. They poured over the squirrel and soon it was a writhing mass of flies. They poured over the thorns and buzzed at me, filling my ears and mouth and body with an intense buzzing.
The wave parted from the squirrel head for an instant, revealing ebony-white bone. But the mouth was still open, still a gaping hole, and it was black and deep and inky. The skull grinned at me in greeting. I recognized it. An age-old recognition.
I felt myself fall into the hole, and it swallowed me up readily.
The world crashed.

[I opened my eyes.
The squirrel was gone. There was no trace of it ever having been there. I slowly pulled myself up, feeling a strange ache. My belly was on fire again.
I staggered forward, feeling my strength slowly ebb back into me.
What the heck was that?
I shuddered. Was that Blood's doing?
Only the wind was there to answer me, and it blew by in cold silence.
I pushed my way through the thicked, following the small path I had dug. I emerged behind the nursery and squeezed out of the little crevice, dragging my feet back into camp.
My fur was tussled and my eyes dull. I just looked very tired. But I felt like I had lost a life...
I trudged to the fresh-kill pile, this time grabbing some without worrying about the rule of catching one first. I settled down and tore into it ravenously, but when I was done I still felt hungry. I ruffled my fur hesitantly, then grabbed another piece and dug into it. It masked my hunger for the time being...
I found a good-sized puddle and lapped from it thirstily. It was almost bare when I finished. I licked my lips, feeling strange.
I felt a bit stronger now, and more awake. My fur was still tussled, but now my eyes were wide and awake. I shook myself, shaking the dust from my fur, and blinked.
HUh. I haven't felt this good in a while. Maybe I can find someone to hunt with me?
No...who would want to hunt with little ol' Purepaw? Nobody, that's who. If we were attacked by foxes, I'd be useless. I was too small to defend myself from a tod, let alone a full-grown fox.
However, I still felt optimistic. I plopped down on the ground, my backlegs sprawled out in my usual pattern, and sniffed, looking around in a bored fashion, hoping someone would offer to hunt...] ═══════════════════════ ...my belly is on fire
