Acctually dude my parents spent only$580 when I got mine last Feb. I got the Xbox360 pro(the one that comes with the hard drive but not the Elite.), came with wireless controller. And I got 2 games with that. I didn't get Xbox live until a month later and then I only got the 3month instead of the full year.

JMan 240 Riostaku Acctually I have played Lost Odyssey and I thought it was too easy. The Last Remnant is really good but the achivements are hard as hell. I'm looking forward to the new Star Ocean that comes out on March 3rd. I mean I do love the shooters but nothing really beats the rpg's. I got a 360 because it was cheeper, but when I get a job I'm going to save up for a PS3 and a new t.v. Then I'm getting a crapload of games. I'm a total and complete GAMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If wanted my Gamertag is KinRyuu, I play Left 4 Dead and Gears2 online. Halo has become very retarded and I might play COD4 online. See now, thats why I said most. A lot of people on XBox are not interested in games where you can't piss people off by team killing. And it's not really cheaper now, it was never cheaper actually, they just had cheaper packages. If, when the PS3 was $600 dollars, you built the equivalent XBox package, Hard drive, HDMI cable, an HD DVD drive (before HD DVD died), and a $50 dollar XBox live subscription, without any games and with only one WIRED controller... You would actually wind up spending $50 dollars more. Add two games so you have something to do with it and all the sudden your $150 dollars more expensive than the base PS3 bundle, that came with Motorstorm. Trust me, I did the math when everyone was whining about it being too expensive a year ago.
Jon it is cheaper
360 price has gone down to $300
comes with the wireless on controller, hard drive, and 2 games, and such. That happen around November when the price went down, read it in the newspaper. I paid $375 for my 360 which was way cheaper then the ps3, I did the math like 100 times, certain items you will never use on the xbox 360. I ended up with 2 games, the 360, the hard drive, and the wireless control, the headset, then other stuff but yeah it cost less for me.

If you added in a hundred dollars for an HD DVD, which was Microsoft's answer to Blu-Ray, to match the PS3's Blu-Ray, you still have one hundred dollars more than the PS3 with free online and one game. See, it works no matter what, you could have bought a PS3 the day it came out for $20 more. The XBox equivalent to the PS3 will always cost more, no matter what, because of XBox live. And you have to add in the HD-DVD to offset the price of the Blu-Ray player in the PS3, even if HD-DVD is dead. After a few more months of XBox live, you would have enough for a new PS3 game. Paying for the XBox Live just kills it for me. And yeah Mirrors, this is the last one.
