Should the fights have been closed like eight minutes ago, Vin?

I don't understand why you'd enter into a physical altercation with an armed police officer.
Then again, in Canada policemen shoot you in the back of the head when they're leading you from cell to cell.

themightyjello Vintrict Cause Chen has exceptions with his ranking. Not meaning to sound combative or anything but... isn't this just an excuse? I mean like, literally. An excuse to not have to follow police codes or have actual evidence of a crime before acting. All he needs to do is say "I'm arresting you" and if they resist then he hits them and calls it resisting arrest. Does he need to get a warrant to search a building or a person's possessions? No, because he is exempt from reasonable cause. Everyone is carrying a weapon, so he can't use the excuse of "this guy looks dangerous" in order to investigate either... and he uses 'gut feelings' to justify acting on OOC knowledge in order to forcibly dig up evidence that he would have no reason to look for. I'm playing a Paladin right now and, though the idea of being able to just dispense justice here and there where it's deserved is tempting in a setting so morally bankrupt as Gaia, if you're actually following LAW and CODE it doesn't really work. Chen is so much more of a Black Mask/Batman type character who should be following the rules when necessary and dispensing vigilante justice when he can. Just that he never wears a disguise, and always flashes his badge, which leads to complaints filed against him and lawsuits against the department. That leads to severance pay. I don't mind discussing why he does some of the stuff he does, and I can tell you now that he doesn't abuse his power everytime, but it's late and I'm about to go to bed. He is more likely to walk into a drug-inhabited city and look for someone doing a bigger crime than trying to arrest everyone at once. He's the type of cop who uses criminals to his advantage to catch the more important ones. But at the same time, he doesn't turn an eye if he sees an extreme crime taking place, such as rape or robbing. He's going to kick your a** then.

I wish I had a flying boat.
Makes me wonder, why aren't there any dock threads anymore? They used to be reasonably popular back in 03, for all sorts of different types of ships.
I mean, I'd really like to commission an airship instead of just saying abracadabra, an airship!

That'd require a shipwright to commission one from though.
Or, at least.. a dock thread with an NPC one somewhere nearby.

Vintrict He's going to kick your a** then. Just saying, my two experiences with him were: 1. Trying to arrest everyone in sight during Unity while simultaneously kidnapping someone, resulting in her death, and still taking the moral high ground stance while beating on someone who was very clearly trying to provoke Chen into trying to arrest him. 2. Beating up several people, from low-paid security guards to lawyers, just to get close enough to try and arrest someone that he had no evidence against after punching out his lawyers.

Well, usually the docks served as maintenance and repair areas too. There would often be a notice that new ships could be built either at the facility or somewhere nearby, and sometimes such vessels were being constructed for story purposes or whatever.
