~Reaper vs. Neo Rocket Grunt~
"OK, lets go Zangoose." He said, then the grunt called out a Machop. "Your going down, little punk." The grunt said. "Grrrr.......Zangoose, Aerial Ace!" He yelled as Zangoose ran at a fast speed and slashed at Machop, dealing huge damage. "Machop, use your Karate Chop." The grunt yelled, the Machop's hand glowed brightly as he hit Zangoose, dealing good damage.
"Zangoose, Aerial Ace again!" He yelled out as Zangoose ran at a fast speed and slashed at Machop, dealing huge damage. "Machop Dynamic Punch." The grunt yelled out as Machop came in for an attack, and missed. "OK Zangoose, finish this off with Crush Claw!" He said as Zangoose's claws began to shine brightly as he hit the Machop fainting it. "Grrr......OK Grimer lets go." The grunt yelled as he threw a pokeball out and then Grimer appeared.
"Zangoose, Crush Claw!" He said as Zangoose's claws began to shine brightly as he hit the Grimer doing good damage. "Grimer use Sludge." The grunt yelled as the Grimer spat out a big glop of Sludge hitting Zangoose doing decent damage. "Zangoose, are you OK?" He asked, then Zangoose answered "Yes, I am fine, lets do this." Then Reaper yelled "OK, then use Crush Claw again!" Zangoose's Claws began to shine again, hitting Grimer dealing great damage.
"Grimer use Poison Gas." The grunt said as Grimer spat out a gas of poison, missing Zangoose, barely. "OK Zangoose, 1 last move, use Slash!" He said as Zangoose ran in for the attack, slashing at Grimer wit a critical hit, fainting the Grimer. "You may have won the battle, but the war is far from over." The grunt said as he then ran away. "Good job Zangoose, rest up." He said as he returned Zangoose to his pokeball.

Cody took off down a separate corridor. One way or another, either he, Reaper, or Ginji had to find some kind of laboratory. He started off in a brisk jog, Ampi's pokeball in hand just in case. He almost expected a grunt to be behind every corner he turned. After a while, though, it seemed like he had been running in circles. "I have to be getting somewhere..." he said to himself, only to turn a corner and be confronted by a grunt.
"Top of the mornin' to ya," Cody greeted, still garbed in his Neo Rocket apparel.
"Evening," the Grunt corrected.
"Yeah, did you hear about the spies? Apparently there was a big hubbub going around about a group of Aqua spies. One of them single-handedly took down three of our guards." Cody almost bragged.
"Yeah, I heard," the grunt simply muttered. "If you're supposed to be on duty, you're going the wrong way. You're headed to the lab buddy."
"Yeah, I realized that," Cody lied. "This place gets so confusing sometimes. I just got back from my two-week vacation to the Orange Islands. Being away from home really messes with your brain, especially in a place like this." Suddenly Cody's TADS went off in his pocket. A large Aqua symbol illuminated from the screen and shone through the thin layer of cotton in his slacks.
"You're one of them," the grunt shouted. "Help! Backup!"
"s**t..." he muttered and threw the pokeball in his hand. The monkey pokemon was excited to be in his first battle in a long time. "Don't disappoint me Ampi," Cody shouted from behind the pokemon. The Ambipom simply nodded and waited for the grunt to make a move.
The Neo Rocket employee threw a pokeball into the makeshift arena. In a flash of light, a Golbat appeared, flapping its wings sporadically and letting out high-pitched shrieks. Ambipom's Quick Claw let it hit first with a Double Hit, which was powered up by its Technician ability. The monkey launched itself at the bat with fists flailing, nailing the foe twice in some crucial weak spots. The Golbat launched back with a Toxic, shooting a deadly poison at Ampi. A Super Effective Thunderbolt was shot at the Golbat, KOing it on impact. Before returning the primate, Cody tossed it a Pecha Berry, curing it of its status condition.
The grunt groaned as he returned his pokemon and fell to his knees in defeat. "I thought I was better than this," he began.
"I don't have time for your sob stories," Cody cut him off and started to search his body for any kind of card key he might need to get into the lab. After a minute or so of searching he finally came across a wallet in the man's back pocket. A Neo Rocket identification card, a few PD, and a gift card or so was all it seemed to contain. Cody opened up the zippered change pocket and pulled out a small piece of paper with a code on it. It read "Magikarp-plus-pissed-equals-deadly".
"At least they've grasped the general concepts," Cody couldn't help but chuckle to himself as he re-read the piece of paper. He repeated the phrase to himself quietly over and over again as he continued down another hallway. At least if he got caught, he would have something to keep them distracted long enough for him to make a move. One flash of the ID card and his interrogators could be out like a light. As he reached another corner, he remembered to take his TADS out of his pocket and turn it off for now. It wouldn't hurt. A beep followed by a loud tune echoed throughout the halls as the device shut itself down. "Just F my life already why don't ya?" he asked the inanimate object. "You've already done enough." He popped the device in his pocket and continued around the corner and down another hallway.
After a while, Cody came to a conclusion. He was lost. There was no finding this lab. There was only a continuous maze that he would just keep walking through... Until he turned the next corner at least... Before him stood an eight foot steel door that reminded him of one he had seen in the Shadow HQ on their last journey there. He already knew what was beyond the door. There would be tables and scientists dealing with test tubes and pokemon here and pokemon there and he would have to fight his way through all of them to get where he wanted to be. He reluctantly typed the pass code into the keypad. Magikarp-plus-pissed-equals-deadly, except there were no dashes so it all came out to be one big word. The doors slid open quite silently and as the brightness of the lab hit his eyes, he was forced to cover them with his arm.
As the light dimmed, though, he was surprised to see only one person working with a lab coat on a test tube held barely above a small flame. The scientist looked up and smiled at Cody. He could tell from her stature that she was female. As his eyes adjusted to the change in brightness, he was able to lower his arm and get a better look at the girl. She had long brown hair in the same style as Shelly's from the old Team Tsunami. She slowly took off her lab coat and hung it on a rack nearby. "So, are you the spy everyone's been talking about?" she asked with a grin. "Not too shabby but I would've expected a little more than a kid."
"Yeah, well, not may people are satisfied with the first impression. It's only after you really get me going that people start to see me in a whole new light," Cody chuckled lightly.
"Well," the lady started, "My name is Deserae. I'm another admin here at Team Neo Rocket and I plan on turning this place around. It needs a shape-up here and there. Maybe if you're good enough, you can become my right-hand man. What do you say?" the admin offered.
"I think Aqua is where I'll stay, but I'm keeping the hat. It goes well with my outfit," Cody replied, hoping to piss her off with that last remark. It worked because without another word, she had sent out an Electabuzz.
"Let's go Pupitar," Cody responded, hoping to get the type advantage on her.
The Electabuzz rushed at Pupitar with an Ice Punch attacked that was blocked by a firm Protect. A quick Low Kick from the Electric Type dealt some serious damage to its foe. A quick Earthquake put an end to the Electabuzz and Deserae returned it with a grunt.
Next up was a Wartortle. The turtle pokemon let out an undodgeable blast of water that nailed Pupitar hard and KOed the Rock-Ground type immediately.
Next up was Pichu. The tiny mouse pokemon shivered in her spot as the turtle approached her. "Get em Peaches! Thunder!" Cody quickly called to the tiny Pichu. The tiny mouse built up all of her energy and put it into one big blast of electricity that was unfortunately blocked by a Protect. Pichu was quickly KOed by a Hydro Pump and returned on the spot after tons of praise.
Meganium was next. A Razor Leaf shot Wartortle's health below the halfway point but was followed up by an Icy Wind. Another Razor Leaf made mincemeat out of the Water Type and was returned without a word.
Tyranitar was next. It was big, deadly, furious, and looked unstoppable. It let out a loud roar that shattered all the glass tubes on the bookshelves and even the idle one that had previously been worked on. Meganium started off with a Petal Dance, hoping to drop the beast quickly. The attack hit dead on and another cry was let out from the beast. An Ice Fang put the Grass Type to rest and forced Cody to return her.
Dragonite was next. "Good ol' Serenity," Cody called as he threw the pokeball into the air. A shriek just as loud as Tyranitar's was let out from the Dragon Type and a quick Aqua Tail was laid upon the foe. It was battle of the giants at this point with almost nothing left to lose. Tyranitar let out a Dragon Pulse that was almost evaded by Dragonite. Serenity was brought down hard as the Super Effective attack hit her wing but she managed to get up and continue battling. A hard Brick Break was brought down upon Tyranitar's head, almost KOing the beast. A final Dragon Pulse from both giants collided in the center of the battle. As each beast drew closer, the attacks in the center grew larger until finally an explosion amounted from the excessive amount of pressure, sending both Dragonite and Tyranitar flying back through walls and KOing them both. Cody took out a pokeball and smiled as he returned his friend. "Congrats. You put up an amazing fight," he told his pokemon.
Deserae's last pokemon was an Infernape. Cody sent out Ampi to take care of this menace. The Infernape launched itself at Ambipom with a Flame Wheel but a simple side step to Water Pulse combo sent Infernape into a daze. The pokemon tried to lunch another attack but hit itself. Ampi went underground for a Dig, confusing the foe until a swift uppercut caught the Fire Type in the jaw, sending it flying. The Admin held out her final pokemon and returned the fire monkey. "You're better than I expected," she complemented. "Sure you don't want to take me up on my offer?"
"I'm sure," Cody replied calmly.
She reached in her pocket and pulled out a small object. "By the way, keep the hat," she said and threw the object on the ground. She disappeared into a cloud of smoke and by the time it cleared, she was gone. He returned Ampi and turned the bill of the hat backwards. "I gotta go find Ginji," he said and started to look around.

As the HQ disappeared, it became apparent that the Neo-Rockets knew how to teleport. "Not good." Ginji muttered as the walls disappeared and he saw his team mates. "Well guys, I think that's about all we can do. Until we find their HQ again anyways." he sighed as he waited for everyone to gather up so he could launch a Dark Portal.

"Well that sucks, but at least it was fun battling someone." He said with a small grin on his face. "Hopefully we find the HQ again and fast." He said waiting for the Dark Portal.

Cody stumbled back to Ginji, completely exhausted. "Can- we- pleeeease- go- home?" he panted, trying to hold himself up.

"I seriously hope so." Ginji sighed out as he was exhausted too. He let out the long breath of air as a Portal appeared underneath them to drop them into HQ silently as everyone else slept. "Rewards should be up soon." Ginji said as he collapsed on the couch.

"Thanks bud. I needed something like that to get me back in the game," Cody chuckled and collapsed in a recliner next to the couch. He would be dead to the world soon enough and he needed the sleep.

Reaper began boucing around HQ like a maniac. "WOOHOO THAT WAS FUN! I CANT WAIT FOR NEXT TIME!!!" He said happily. biggrin

Rewards for the RP: Infiltration! Invade Neo-Rocket!
Together with the help of the disguises Ginji randomly found while walking about HQ, the team invaded Neo-Rocket's HQ! Completely confusing the Grunts by busting a hole in the wall and then failing to sweet talk them led to an epic fight scene while trying to find the lab to try and discover the source of the Robotical Legends.
When everything was said and done, the HQ teleported out from underneath the Aqua members and they were left in a field of despair and defeat. Neo Rocket may have succeeded next time, but what could they be planning?!

Reaper: Good battle, but as we talked about verges on God-modding. As a standard rule, try having a Pokemon faint after one or two hits. You receive a Silk Scarf to power your Zangoose up with, 2 Aqua Balls and 2000 PD.
Cody: I'm a bit scared to start reading that...but I will survive! I would have liked more out of the first battle with Golbat. It didn't flow as well as it could have. In fact, none of the battles really flowed. It was more of a statement of attacks rather then actual...flow. If that makes any sense. The story part was good though. 5 Aqua Balls, 5000 PD and 2 berries of your choice. Plant them and see what grows biggrin

Reaper grabbed his reward, called out Zangoose, and handed him the Silk Scarf. "Here you go Zangoose, a Silk Scarf to power you up." Zangoose puts the silk Scarf on. "Yes, beware the power of my enhanced Crush Claw!" He yelled excitingly.

Cody looked embarrassed as he finally realized it. "Oh crap... I totally forgot. I thought it was either dark or fighting..." All of a sudden, Peaches popped out of her pokeball. "You're ready to evolve, huh?" Cody asked. The tiny mouse pokemon nodded as the boy brought out a Heart Stone. Pichu touched it softly and both began to glow brightly. Cody looked amazed as his baby evolved. It had been a while since he had seen an evolution. It was a beautiful process. As the evolution reached its close, the light dimmed down to reveal a Pikachu with shaggy bangs, much like Ritchie's Pikachu. "Peaches, congratulations sweetie," Cody commented.
