To get Nyl back as safely as possible. I was trying to get him to hand her over, so I didn't run a risk of them killing Nyl if something backfired...

Seph would not speak, though, for fear that it would lead to an outburst of emotion. Something he wanted to avoid.

I made a deal with her. She was to leave everyone else in the dojo alone, aside from me, in exchange that I didn't kill her.

She had information that I needed. I made a mistake, I'm aware of that, but the only reason she was here today with Nyl is because she arranged to meet me. I may have made a mistake, but I was just trying to keep everyone safe...

It felt very strange preaching like this to Neko, but with Nyl unconscious, Nami asleep, and Reeve out for Neko's blood, who else would?
"You're already on a short leash, Neko. You cannot afford to continue charades like this.." He sighed very softly, almost inaudibly.
"..I think I'm going to spend the rest of the night-.. morning.. on the roof. Don't act suspicious, Neko, I've got my eye on you.. If you so much as look in the direction of the medbay, I'll be down here faster than light.." His voice was not accusing or angry. It was exhausted, worn thin. But he would spend the rest of the ensuing day and afternoon awake on the roof, watching, waiting..

-=Neko nodded to Seph, and watched him walk off, the words still mixing in his mind. he sealed up every last bit of his chakra, making it undetectable. He sighe softly as he started to head towards his office, looking down the hall of the med wing as he passed it. There was noone down there with Nyl. He let her disappear once before, and he knew they would be back, so he stealthfully made his way into Nyl's room, and sat down in the chair across the room from her, watching her through the night. He wasn't going to make another mistake=-

Reeve shivers, remembering his shirt is in Ny's medbay room. He stalks quietly there, his hand on the wall as a guide. Not seeing Neko at all, he stumbles to the makeshift stretcher and retrieves his sweater, tugging it over his head. He takes up a vigil near Nyl, unknowingly right across the room from the defector.
"Nyl..please be okay...we all owe you so much, that we do." He offers a small, non-humoured chuckle as he remembers a small bit of script. "Do not go quietly into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light."
