Seph rose an eyebrow, looking from Kara to Nyl. His fingers wiggled nervously, as if begging to move, to attack. Why was Nyl acting so nervously?
~What's going on, Nyl?~
His eyes remained locked on Kara, he was ready to strike at a whim.

-=Neko takes off his glasses, his stark yellow eyes standing out in soft light from Kara's Chakra, and his own. He walked closer to Kara, nearly standing underneath her. He stayed quiet, and he crossed his arms, carefully looking over everyone in the clearing=-
Kara...This doesn't need to happen... Who's the doppleganger?
-=He looked to Nami, and spoke. He was calm and deliberate=-
She was supposed to leave all of you out of this.

"I am not the one who needs to explain herself. Nyl? Care to enlighten them?" Kara laughed quietly, amused at Nyl's discomfort. Nyl stared right back at her, though.
"Kara...if only you understood. Who they are, what they mean...what they can be. She has the best part of the deal...and none of us could see it. She never bothered you before, why'd you have to go an disrupt everything she--"
A chakra spike drove itself through Nyl's chest.
"You have outlived your usefulness." Nyl's eyes went wide even as she lost her focus.
"Aoi..." Nyl blinked once, and with a sound like a sigh her entire body vanished. The new voice laughed heartily.
"Foolish ninjas. So caught up in yourselves that you never even noticed she'd been replaced."

Nami's whole body stiffined as she stepped out from behind Clow. How had that escaped her? Her Byakugan hadn't dropped...but she hadn't been looking at Nyl. She'd been watching Kara and Neko, watching the way their chakra seemed to interact. It was...attraction? She took another step forwards, staring hard as the veins around her eyes became more defined. Sexual tension?
"Oh my god..."

Seph's eyes widened significantly. He looked back to Kara, narrowing his eyes. "Replaced, eh?" He looked down to Nyl's body, then back to Kara. "Then where is the real Nyl?"

Reeve's eyes blaze a furious green. All he'd told her, all she'd said, had disappeared as quickly as she did. It was a lie. And this woman, Kara, was going to pay. And Neko was going to get his...oh yes.

-=Neko looked up at Kara, then towards the source of the new foice as he leapt backwards, away from Kara=-
Where is she, Kara? I won't hesitate to kill you if anything has happened to her....
-=Neko's chakra surged mightily as he released four more seals, up to eight now. His energy was well over what an average Kage's would be, and most of it was condensed in his body, a bit of it whipping around in the air as his eyes searched out Aoi=-

"It's not as though any of you really care." A tall man stepped out from the night shadows, appearing to be walking on air. Kara smiled at him as he approached her, leaning up and kissing him lightly on the cheek.
"Good evening, Aoi. I seem to have caught us a few mice." She grinned devilishly at Neko. "And one cat."
Aoi smiled also, looking down at all of them with fierce blue eyes. "You're looking for Nyl?" He walked back across the air - Kara's chakra supporting him - and reached into the depths of the shadows. He reemerged holding Nyl up by the back of her shirt, though really Kara was also keeping her airborne.
"Well then, here she is."
Nyl hung limply from his fist, her clothes torn, bruises and scratches visible everywhere. She didn't move as Aoi shook her, lightly, grinning. He was outside Kara's barrier, and deemed himself safe.

"You." Nami narrowed her eyes at Neko. She stormed over to him, eyes blazing a furious white. "You and her! This isn't the first time she's been here, and you let it go on didn't you!" She turned to glare at Kara. " I can feel it between the two of you! You let her get to you and now look what happened!" Before she could process what she was doing she backhanded him with all of her strength. When the action registered she took a step back, none of her anger dissipated.

Seph's eyes narrowed, the anger rising in his body. His temperature was a testament to that. He shot forward, fading in the direction around Kara, as if trying to avoid her to get to the man and Nyl.

The Talon transforms into its full angry self as Reeve swings wildly on the barrier between himself and Aoi. "I'm gonna cut you all down....!"

-=Neko rolled with the slap, sliding on a small orb of chakra underneath his feet, to the other end of the barrier, his feral eyes darting back and forth in thought, before staring up at Kara and Nyl=-

"What should we do with them, Aoi?" Kara smiled at him. Aoi smiled back, turning it into a smirk as he looked down at Seph, Reeve, Nami and Neko.
"I'm amazed they even still remain. I mean, she was so worthless to them." Aoi looked at Nyl again, shaking his head. "Didn't even care enough to spring her from jail." He shrugged. "Do what you like, Kara. I'm content to watch. After all, they wouldn't dare attack me, lest their actions kill their most powerful tool."
Kara smiled. Her barrier shifted shape just slightly, drawing Neko into a smaller section of his own.
"I give you the choice, yellow-eyes. You show so much promise, and we've lost one of our members." She dropped from her tree, reaching through Neko's barrier to run a hand down his face. "Will you join me?"
They completely ignored Reeve hacking at the barrier, which would be wasted effort. It wouldn't break.
