Bit by bit, Tomo began to tear up as well. He gave Kaen a comforting hug as he cursed his disrupted hormones. "Shhh," He soothed, "Tonight, I'll take the night watch. If anything happens, I'll know."

She nodded, wiping at her eyes. "I can understand that they want exotics, but why can't they leave us alone?" she asked quietly, her voice devoid of emotion. She wrapped her arms around her stomach. "The little one hasn't even taken his first breath, and he's already being hunted...Sometimes I wonder if we wouldn't be safer somewhere else...."

"I don't think anywhere is safe for kitsunes anymore," she muttered, then slowly got to her feet. "At least we know now what Ghost is capable of. We know she can transform, and we know what her owl form looks and smells like." She ran a hand through her hair. "Hopefully it will help..."

Tomo nodded and watched her, "It will help." Tomo assured her, "Just relax for now, okay? Rhiannon seems to create her own barrier, so let me do the worrying for the night."

She smiled softly, looking down. "This one seems to know when things are happening....I felt warmth when Kai came to me, both when I slept and then yesterday in the clearing." Her smile became more genuine and her eyes filled with happiness.

Tomo smiled warmly and picked his tea back up, "Amazing, isn't it?" He murmured, sipping the warm beverage. "I love her so much already and I don't even know what she looks like."

"I do. I know she'll be beautiful and smart," Kaen said. "I have no idea what my little one's name will be if he is male...but I have time." SHe yawned, hiding it behind a hand. "Kai liked the name Abrani or Acher for a boy. But for now, I should get rest for the both of us."

Tomo nodded and smiled, "Yes, you should. We've had a bit of an emotional evening," He agreed, glancing towards the stairs, "I'll stay up, tonight."

She walked over to Tomo and kissed him softly on the cheek. "Thank you....for everything," she said before turning and heading up the stairs.

Arlen sets about the kitchen making himself something to eat, and then heads back into the main room with some french toast and some oj. Spying Tomo at the fire, he takes the time to put a blanket on the man before starting on his food.
