While Omaru was still fighting the dummies, he heard Kami growling. When he looked what was going on, he saw someone was going through his bag. The person in particular seemed to have been scared up by the pup that had been in the bag. Kami was now biting down the hand of the person and refused to let go. Omaru didn’t lose a minute and dashed forward to pierce the thief in his back with his claws. The claws sank deep into the flesh when suddenly, the person disappeared and was substituted with a log, causing the claws to be stuck. While he was trying to get the log loose, he searched the surroundings with his eyes and nose. He had to get the thief, because when he disappeared, he had taken his bag with him, together with Kami.
That particular though brought him to an idea. He gathered his chakra, performed the needed seals and spoke the words: “Kanshoku kihan no jutsu!” One of Omarus eyes turned bright yellow, and on the other side, one of Kamis eyes turned grey. They could now see through each others eyes, and in this way, Omaru could hopefully locate the pup.
He was looking down on himself from the back, which means Kami was held in a tree behind him. Omaru was right on time to look behind him, and to avoid a kunai thrown at his head that now landed on the ground behind him. Wile Omaru took that opportunity to pick it up, he saw that Kami was being moved to another tree. He pretended not to notice, and looked to the place where the thief had been, while Kami located the place where he was now. Omaru ran towards the tree where the kunai had come from and dashed towards it with a chakra jump, but in mid air, he turned and threw the kunai to the place where the thief was sitting now. A raw scream originated from the spot and Omaru knew he had hit the spot. He landed in the tree and found his bag and Kami left behind on a branch, next to a blood stain.

The next morning Omaru went to school to graduate. He had completed all the requirements and would now show them to the instructor. Deliberately, he had shosen to not take lessons with the other students, because his reputation wasn’t one of the best. Now he had thought about it, he had actually never even spoken to any student, even not to the thief that stole Omaru the other day. The other students hadn’t seen him, or they ignored him completely. He didn’t care much though, being ignored comes in very handy when he steals something.
This time, he went to class, together with the other students, and went to sit all in the back. When the instructor went through the absentee list, he saw Omaru, and made a mocking sound. “Look who’s coming to class today, Omaru gives us the privilege that we can be in the same class with him” the comment was receiver wit lots op laughter from the class, but Omaru stayed unmoved, and looked back at the instructor with a disinterested gaze. With that the instructor continued “Do you ever think you are going to be a genin if you never come to class? The exams are not far away you know, and you’ve missed lots of things already. I’ve always thought it would be useless to have you in class, especially at your age. You’re a disgrace to the Inuzuka clan, it’s no wonder they didn’t give you a dog in the first place-” Omaru stayed calm, but interrupted the tutor none the less. He didn’t like it when people started talking about his parents, even though he didn’t really remember them. “I simply didn’t come to your classes because I thought I would be through the curriculum much faster on my own” The tutor reacted with an overdone compassionate tone in his voice. “Aww, so when it didn’t work out on your own, you went back to me with your tail between your legs, didn’t you?” The class waited for Omaru’s answer, but had it hard to keep in their laughs. “Oh, on the contrary. I’m finished!” Omaru said triumphantly. The class was silent for a few secons before they started murmuring with each other. The tutor flushed when he had to surpress his anger. “Well why don’t you do your exam here and now then?! In front of the whole class, so that we can learn something of the mighty Omaru!” The last words came out shouting. Omaru calmly came forward and put his shoulderbag against the wall, and dicretely opened it, so that Kami could watch what was going to happen. He then when to stand in front of the tutor who was now trembling with anger.
“Allright, lets start with Henge, I you know what that is” the tutor said. Without saying a word, Omaru quickly made the handseals and with a cloud of smoke, changed into a perfect copy of the red and sweaty tutor. It was easy to see that the tutor was now grinding his teeth when he murmured “now do a bunshin.” Without changing back first, Omaru made a bunshin, resulting in two tutors. The tutor but up big eyes. You could hear him thinking that it was quite a skill to make two perfect bunshins while in henge mode. Without any command, because the tutor had turned silent, Omaru walker up the wall and onto the ceiling, proving that he had learned that skill too. “So, what do you think, Sensei?” Did I succeed?” The tutor yelled that he had to come down immediately and when Omaru had done so, The tutor quickly handed him the headband with the Konoha insignia. He then asked Omaru to leave and ignored him completely after that. While taking his bag and leaving, Omaru noticed the staring of the whole class, as they looked at him with emotions varying from admiration through envy to hatred. Most of them belonged to the last group. Triumphantly, Omaru walked outside, and strolled home while he caressed Kami.

A strong wind was blowing behind a student coming into the academy... A dark and brooding wind, as if someone had awakened hell itself, then there he was... A figure looking closer to death than life walked into the academy, most of his body was wrapped gauze tape and some long pants... His usual clothing for the day. Seeing he was being stared down by the people around him as he entered the academy, he shot back a glare that would send shivers down any genin ninja's spine as they rushed to the edges of the arena... He didn't need to be supervised for his training.. He was competent enough to supervise his own training.

Turning to a nearby training dummy, Mugetsu placed his hand to it for a second as he closed his eyes, his memory of his old man was still lingering in his heart... He had to cast that image out.... he wasn't here anymore, because he didn't have the power to stop them. A single palm strike shot into the chest of the dummy as it rocked back and forth, then an over head kick nailed it right on the center of it's head, rocking it hard. Standing on his own two feet, he launched his leg in a roundhouse kick to the head of the training dummy, rocking it to the core as the wood started to break...

"Damn you, old man! Damn you to hell! Why did you have to get yourself killed!?! I wanted you to see me rise to the top of the ninja legends... but then you died! What do I have left to protect now? No honor, no goal... No nothing!" Raising his heel in the air, Mugetsu brought it upon the head of the dummy, snapping it asunder from the post as it fell upon the ground, face down as Mugetsu retracted his foot into it's original position as he brought his other leg and kicked it into the air, finally delivering a high spin kick as the dummy broke... It was obvious that his physical skill was above that of any regular genin... but it was a dark and brooding sense, an untamed beast to relate it to. His wrath was the hand of the devil itself.... Looking over the shattered pieces, Mugetsu kicked one of the pieces as he held his hands up to his face, concentrating his chakra easily into his palms.

"Kage Bushin No Jutstu!"

Leaving the clone to repair and refill the dummy, Mugetsu walked to the side of the courtyard and sat in a meditation position as he closed his eyes, concentrating on the things he had to show the academy sensei, when the time came. The old man's training came back into his mind as he focused on his training, remembering the feel of the hardwood floor against his cheek as he raised himself off of the floor. The feel of his father's strenght and heart... It was something that kept him in check and stopped him from running wild, like he had done in the past... He used to be a little troublemaker, causing disorder and panic among his peers, challenging anyone that fought him with his martial art skills.... but when his father caught wind of it, he'd beat him back into place and show just who was the superior dog was.... and it was never him. He would always be on the floor, reeling in pain from the extensive damage he was given, but he was always motivated to come back up, standing strong.... but that source of strenght was gone now... Had been gone for years, as far as he could tell... at least that's what he was told at the hospital.

How could he had not lost it? Years of his life was sitting in a nice warm bed while he missed his father's ceremony, hell... He didn't even get to say goodbye before the corps was buried! Vengeance was on his mind, wanting to kill the ninja that took his old man's life.... but the ninja could never be identified... of all the things. Then he had this stupid gauze tape all over his body to protect his destroyed skin cells from breaking any further... He couldn't even wear a shirt or anything! What if he had a mission where it was downpouring or even worse than that.... Snow! Stupid doctors and their treatments!

Feeling a kick to his kneecap, Mugetsu was snapped out of his trance as he saw the dummy repaired, almost to perfect status, except for the dents he put into it. Nodding his head gently to the clone's work, Mugetsu dispelled the clone as he stood up, cracking his knuckles to get loose... There was still a hell of a lot of training to do before he could even leave the Academy. Time to get serious...

Tanaka Momoichi ` Hidden Mist

The girl was swallowed up into the walls of the academy, finding her way to her designated class. It really did not matter who she was surrounded with, she reasoned. As long as they did not hinder her from getting through the things she needed to.

She had watched as others left to go that morning, their families seeing them off with obvious pride on their faces. She had no such lovely parting. The only beings present to see her off, were the mangy dog she had acquired and his little cat friend.

Yes, she knew it was strange. That a dog and a cat could not only become companions but live under the same roof.

She never said her house mates were normal. She took care of them both, and they gave her the company that had been missing in her life ever since the very same people that were seeing off their family, had been the same ones to take hers away from her. To remove them from this Earth.

It was funny how Karma worked, was it not? How they could be cheerful and lead happy lives while she was alone and neglected. Did not matter much anyway, she was in charge of herself now……ah crap.

The girl had been so wrapped up in her bitter thoughts that she had forgotten which way she was supposed to go.

It was thanks to a boy she had never seen, nor heard of before, that she made it on time. He introduced himself to her, and she felt happy that she had made friends with a being that was not furry.

She sat towards the back, listening to the words of their instructor as he outlined what they would be doing today.

To the girl, it seemed that a majority of their lessons would be conducted outside. This made her extremely happy, in that she would not have liked to have been forced to stay indoors, cooped up with people she had never met a day in her life.

It seemed they thought they were all too good for her anyway. They completely ignored her, which normally would not have bothered her.

But in a place where everyone was virtually equal to one another, she should be able to socialize…right?

Apparently she was wrong.

What is worse, is that the instructor informed them that they would be assigned partners for this day. It had made her happy, and her new found friend and her had immediately made eye contact. This signified their agreement.

If they were allowed to pick their own partners, they belonged to one another. But of course, that is not how it went down. Their picked partners for them, and the girl was stuck with a guy even worse than the one she had made ‘friends’ with.

The friend in question had been assigned with some mysterious looking guy, and shockingly enough, made immediate friends with him. The girl was furious. She could not help but feel like she was being replaced. But then she realized how crazy that was, and focused her attention back onto what was being said up front.

There were only a few of them, so they would be more or less left to their own devices.

Wonderful. Albeit grudgingly, the girl followed her newly assigned partner out into the warmth of the afternoon sun.

It was something she did not have much time to enjoy, because her partner proceeded to tell her what she should and should not do. Over the next couple of minutes, the girl was speechless.

Then , her back straightened, and she found herself in all this new confusion. She began outlining what all they would have to accomplish before they left here because she did not plan on returning.

Fortunately, he seemed to agree. But as they tried to figure out how to get things going, it was clear that they would not get very far. Their instructor stepped in.

The girl gripped the her upper arm with her large fist, smirking when she caught sight of the looks it she was receiving because of it. Now, everyone suddenly seemed to have opened their eyes to the details.

This guy was beginning to get on her nerves. What had made her instructor resolve to pairing her up with this guy? Besides, How hard could it be? Turning into something else...

The girl tapped the hilt of her Katana against the massive combat boots she wore. She was gritting her teeth, regarding her partner with a less than appreciative gaze.

"Yeah, alright. I got it."

She tossed her katana up into the air, catching it gingerly by the hilt and sliding it into the saya strapped to her hip.
She then popped the knuckles of her loved hand, flexing the fingers of her iron fist. A smile curved her lips as she watched her partner slide into a defensive position. She herself slid her feet slightly apart, leaning forward ever so slightly.

It was simple as this: remain in full combat while focusing enough chakra to transform into whatever she chose. Try her best to use the other skills described to her, and above all else- try not to get the crud knocked out of her.

She channeled her chakra, skipping to the left as her partner faked a blow to her right. He gave her no time to make a move, shooting his leg out to trip her. She caught the movement with her eyes, and jumped, speaking on the exhale.

"Henge no Jutsu."

Her voice was confident, and she grinned as mist gathered around them. In the sudden cover, the Tasmanian devil scratched behind it's ears. But as the mist cleared, it launched itself at the girl's partner, transforming back just in time to yell-

"Boshin No Jutsu!"

It was not a copy of the Tasmanian devil that appeared, but three of the girl, attaching themselves to her partner like glue. The Tasmanian devil transformed, and the girl lurched her head forward, colliding with that of her partners. She imagined he would have staggered, if it was not for the clones that held him in place.

By the look on her partner's face, the girl understood that he was now taking this seriously. He growled, breaking free of her copies and sending them flying. They disappeared, leaving only the girl and her partner.

Tanaka smiled, her metal fist resting on her rounded hip.

"Is this the part where we get serious? Cus I have got to tell you- serious is never fun."

She mock pouted, her eyes becoming wide and round and her bottom lip drooping. Of course, he was not buying it.

A sigh escaped her lips, and she re-channeled her chakra, watching her partner for any movement.

His next approach was obvious. He came at her at a run.
I took her only a moment, however. Only a moment to remove her katana from it's saya and wield it skillfully. She sliced at the air in an arch, and her partner easily took a step back, and stilled.

Tanaka smirked, running her tongue along the blade. She sent the sword into the ground, separating her feet and stretching her arms out on either side of her. Before her partner could even blink, She brought the palms of her gloved hand and iron fist together.

The sound that reverberated in the air was nothing compared to the wind and mist that shot forward.

It enveloped her partner completely, and she surged forward, bringing back her iron fist and sending it straight into her partner's gut as she reached him. His breath left him on a sharp gust of air, and Tanaka grabbed hold of his arm before the blow sent him flying.

Instead, she brought her fist back once more, ramming it into his chest and twisting. A cry of pain sounded as iron twisted against flesh. A choking noise sounded in his throat, and she gazed right into his wide eyes.

"I may have said that serious was no fun, but that does not mean that I can not be."

She blinked when fingers suddenly wrapped their spindly selves around her wrist. Before she knew it, her partner had yanked her arm down by the wrist, bringing his knee up to collide with her upper arm. Had it not been at such an odd angle, it would have broken her bones.

She let out a hiss, using this sudden momentum to jerk him towards her, the heel of her hand slamming into the back of his head. It did nothing, of course, and he twisted her arm, kicking her leg out from beneath her and forcing her to the ground.

The girl did not make a sound, but twisted painfully in his grasp, kicking his legs out from beneath him.She used his grip on her arm to wrench his own behind his back, dropping a knee between his shoulder blades.

He cried out, and she used the mist top bring her katana to her.

Before it reached her partner bucked her off, relinquishing his grip on her and painfully straightening up.

Tanaka smiled.

"I'm a little tea pot...short and stout..."

He came at her, and she whirled on her heel, launching into a run. He mistook her to be running away, but she channeled her chakra once again, her steps taking her up the trunk of a nearby tree. Mist covered her intentions and she paused briefly to watch as her partner searched through the mist. Why was he not used to this by now?

The mist cleared, and a clone of herself, it seemed, stood where her partner had seen her last.

The real Tanaka laughed silently, swinging her legs up and over a high branch. Once settled, she kicked her legs back and forth, proceeding to quietly finish up her song.

"Here is my handle, her is my spout...when I get all steamed up-"

A yelp escaped her mouth, and she hopped down from the tree, narrowly missing being clipped by her own katana. He had thrown it at her.

She blinked, so he had figured it out...? Sure enough, in the place where her clone had just stood, there was a thick branch instead.

"Alright." Tanaka muttered, going to fetch her katana and sighing.

"We can finish this up later, but first, how about a drink?"

Tanaka scrunched up her face. It was as if the birds themselves had the nerve to make fun of her. This was the second time she had failed. The second time she had fallen pray to the river. Of course, her partner had wondered off to 'use the bathroom.'

Their instructor had shown up and demanded that they learn how to walk on water if they were going to 'waste his time swimming with the fishes.' Whatever that meant, they had only been drinking from the river and he came along and pushed them in.

So, Tanaka had tried, -and just failed- to 'walk on water'. Her partner (infuriatingly) had not.

Her fist was going to need a lot of shaking by the time they got finished, and she was greatly looking forward to it.

She plopped down on the river bank, watching her feet below the surface of the murky water. There instructor had supposedly left them on their own, but she knew he was nearby....watching them.

She tilted her head up, watching the clouds as they passed overhead. Minutes passed without the return of her partner, and finally she stood, removing her katanas and ruffling her short hair.

She arched an eyebrow at the river, calming herself and getting a hold of her chakra. She blinked slowly, then stepped out onto the water.

When Tanaka's partner returned, his cheeks flushed at the sight of her bent, studying the rocks beneath the surface of the water. She stood on top of the river, her shorts and shirt dampened and her short hair plastered against her skin. Droplets of water beaded her legs, shoulders, and arms, and she grinned at him when she noticed he had returned.

"How about lunch?" She asked.

Man, he ate a lot. It was a good thing he had been the one paying for everything. Tanaka had eaten an honest amount, making idle chat while she sat next to him and watched him shovel ramen down his throat.

When he finally had finished, it was well after dark and she had made it ‘home’ with little difficulty. She was grateful to be in the comfort of her own belongings., and the place where she had once been gifted with two mothers.

Twice the affection, twice the care, three times acceding the average hormonal rate for a family of three.

But it had been alright with Tanaka.

She had just been happy to have two parents that loved her, regardless of their sex. Unfortunately, the villagers had not felt the same way. Her father had been a man held in the highest regards. A man who, had he been alive and able never would have allowed such blasphemy to occur in his own home, under his roof.

’Funny’. Tanaka had thought at the time, though it now amazed her at how much she had been unattached to the whole thing. ’Funny…perhaps if he had not have ran off….had not have disappeared, it would have never even have crossed my mother’s mind.

But it had…somehow. Her mother had not swung the other way, she had told her. She had not swung the other way, but had simply fallen in love.

The one she had fallen in love with had happened to be on the other side. You should not discriminate, just because a person was able to find love in what you thought to have been the wrong place.

As long as you were in love….as long as that person could make you feel, it was alright. Tanaka felt indifferent about the whole thing.

She had not even begun to feel about the ordeal, until the day she had happened to wonder into the wrong place, at the completely wrong time. ‘Watch, she’ll be just like them. Tainted, all of it. Her father had had such dreams…such hopes…. But no. She will turn out like her mother. She is probably already there….already turning her back on him….on us..”

That had set off the anger. It had set off Tanaka’s anger and she had resolved to do what she thought was best: become a Shinobi. Surely, if her father were to return. To come home and see how strong she was, how unique and rare, she was, he would love her still. It was not impossible dream….

Tanaka sighed, removing all of her weapons from her person and stretching out. She would visit the arena tomorrow…give herself a new drive. Hopefully, someone would ask her about her fist.

They would ask her how she had lost her hand, and she would show them. They would be extremely lucky if they found a mechanic as easily as she had.

Cracking his knuckles, Mugetsu motioned away from the post he had so heinously thrashed and went inside the building where he would go and find weights inside the school for him to use in his training regiment. Though he didn't speak, Mugetsu alone poured off an evil and auspicious aura, despite coming from the town that raised many legendary ninja to rise to the highest ranks. They were the stuff of legends... but he was not intimidated... No, he had his own idol to live up to, he had no intentions of falling short of his old man, looking to exceed his every expectation that he placed in front of him. Mugetsu had the drive, just not the direction after coming out of his coma and he didn't want people telling him the way to go... They knew nothing in his eyes.. and would continue not to know his pain, this unsurmountable pain that surged so vividly in his chest. Finally coming across the training gear, Mugetsu strapped himself in with the whole works, ankle and wrist weight, Weighing in at least 15 pounds each... This was easy for him when he was training with his father in the dojo.

The weights themselves felt so old and worn out that Mugetsu couldn't help but feel uncomfortable in them, but he also didn't have a choice in the matter, since he went rogue in the infirmary.. They said that he had to take the academy training right after he recovered enough to walk and sure enough, he kept his end of the bargain, otherwise, the Hokage wouldn't authorize the cosumption of the antibiotics that he would need to heal his skin, but even then... They said he would need an operation to repair the damaged skin, but he needed to earn the honor of having such a procedure done on him. Damn jounin ninja! Didn't they see he was in a whole depressive state? He didn't even want to speak, so why couldn't they just open their eyes and see? He couldn't just sit there and ask kindly when his father was murdered, but then he wasn't an idiot either, everyone had their price and so did they.

Stepping back outside, Mugetsu summoned another clone as he held up his father's style of Martial Arts, thrusting his closed fist into the air, as if someone was right there in his face, swinging at him as if to kill him, but that soon was over as he rushed at his double, swinging a powerful kick at him, only to meet with a powerful forearm block as the blow was pushed away, like a child pushing away the hands of a bully. Exchanging blows, the two Mugetsu's began to get into the groove of the fighting that he had practiced everyday since he was young, fighting to show his old man he was the best pupil he would ever raise. Firing another punch, the clone shot back an uppercut into his bandaged region which made the original groan in pain and step back in agony... That was right, his skin on the damaged side still had sensitive nerve endings, which made hits feel twice as strong. Looking at where the clone punched, he could see that the old wound was reopening. Glaring at his counterpart, he drilled him in the chest with a rising kick as he followed and began to fire off a hellstorm of punches, able to put any basic genin out in a flash. Falling back to earth, the shadow itself faded and the original still stood there, still unsure of what his body was undergoing.

Though he could tell that his body was still struggling to keep up with the physical aspect, his mental motions were still going into effect, especially his chakra flow, which he needed above all else to leave this stupid academy and take on jobs that his father would have him doing, real ninja missions that depended on his personal skills to achieve victory. Taking to a puddle now, Mugetsu sighed as he had to do something he had always been able to do... concentrate chakra to one point on his body. Sure he could do that... but when he actually began to do it, he couldn't feel his chakra there... what the hell? That wasn't fair at all! Just because of his coma.... Damnit all! Shaking his regret off, he tried again as he held his hands together, feeling the chakra start to move more efficiently now. There! The chakra was now stable enough to maintain and use effectively over the water. Taking a step, Mugetsu just stared out into the distance as he took one step, then another... as if this was his first time ever using the damn jutsu in the first place, annoying. Making sure that he got this form of training down, he began to circle the whole pond with his training, dashing along the coast as small ripples crossed the surface of the pond with the gentlest of steps... Easy as a day of a thousand push ups. Frowning a bit under his wraps, Mugetsu sat upon the shore for a second as he could feel his body get a little groggy from using up so much chakra so fast. His body was still in stasis after the coma, but he didn't want to get left behind like some little kid. No, he wanted to catch up to those who towered over him and tried to command his authority and respect.... those are things you have to be given.

As the hours on the clock flew by, Mugetsu sat down in the shade as the sun rose right above his head... It must of been about midday now, lunch time for all the students out there. Grabbing a box lunch from the cafeteria, Mugetsu sat by himself as he began to work on the bandages around him mouth, working carefully not to peel the burnt skin on his face and placed a small bit into a bundle on the side of his face, using the chopsticks in his hands to feed the sushi roll to his mouth, watching some other students eating together... Some were friend, others were couple.. and then there was the groups that always sat together, despite the scenario, since they did it all the time... These would most likley make up the groups of ninja who would go on missions outside of the village, but where would they place Mugetsu? Hopefully, it wouldn't be with a squad that would only drag his abilities down to even out the squad... Ridiculous. If that'd happen, he would definitely have a fit in the hokage's office...

Moving onto the rice balls now, Mugetsu was surprised at how good the food tasted, since it wasn't a home cooked meal, but it wasn't impossible. Raising up from his position, Mugetsu stood up as he cracked his knuckes loudly and motioned forth into the woods as he smiled gently hidden behind the wraps that covered his jaw as he ventured forth into the woods to work on some more of the basics. His heart was racing as his old blood began to stir violently..

[to be continued]

The girl was not exactly certain, but it seemed that perhaps her partner had gotten laid, some point between the time she had left him, and now. For one thing, she had never seen a person smile so much in her life time. For another, he was exceedingly quick today compared to yesterday's fiasco.

She could barely let her guard down before he was on her like an angry wasp, bringing round a hailing of brutal hits. Now, she was beginning to lose her cool.

Sweat beaded her dark skin, and her breath was a bit ragged. She peered at him with her measured expression, her eyes searching for his every move, his every twitch- there! She had spotted a weak point! But just as soon as the thought entered her mind it was no longer true. He was coming at her, and she barely had time enough to bring up her iron fist, blocking the blow.

The hit rang up her arm, and she knew that without a single doubt she would be nursing her pains tomorrow morning. She had had just about enough.

He had not moved since his last blow, and from this close she could see that he had barely broken a sweat either, while her tank was soaked and her short hair was practically plastered to her skull.

Perhaps that is what finally set her off. Why did she have to work so hard to keep him at bay? Huh? Why did she have to be the one that trembled as a result of a particularly debilitating blow? Why did she feel as if she had to prove something to her village when they weren't even here to see it!!? Oh no, she was done with this.

Faster than he could blink, she unsheathed her left katana, ducking her arm underneath his and bringing the blade down. It connected with his shoulder and pleasantly, he leaped back, a look of surprise on his face.

He had not been expecting her to act so suddenly, and before he could recover she was on him, sending hit after hit his way, battering his body with her steel fist, slicing at his skin with her blade. None of it was lethal. But everything about her attacks were brutal, meant to injure, to make a statement.

She was not weak, and he would not get away with beating the snot out of her. It was only when she had tuckered out and realized that this was only mock fighting, that she paused, her shoulders heaving with her breath.

She slid to the ground next to her partner, watching him breath and tremble, watching his face as his eyes searched the sky. Hopefully tomorrow would not be as...rough.

It was after this thought that she realized she had not spoken a single word to him today.

Zinzuko trainind vigorously at the the training grounds outside the academy. He didn't care that class was going on. It seemed like a huge waste of time to him. If he went in there he would just here about the stuff he's heard of before. He already knew the fundamentals and was impatient and bored of hearing about the shuriken jutsu and kunai throwing. He learned all that before the academy. He stood in the training area with his eyes closed focusing on everything around him. It all seemed to pointless to him. The wasted hours at this village. Zinzuko was just biding his time until the day came to when he would leave the village and go off on his own. Zinzuko's fingers began to glow with chakra as the strings slowly slipped from the tip of his fingers still connected. He began to move in a spinning motion but at the same time moving his arms so that the strings glided through the air. He began to spin faster until he completly vanished. You could hear the whipping of the strings hitting the ground and the air where he once stood. The sounds were loud and the chakra strings would become visible at some points even though he didn't. He continued this motion, dashing around and whipping his strings on the surface of the ground and trees. The trees would drop leaves which he would split in half before they were able to touch the ground. It was all a little simple to him but he didn't care. This was part of his training. He didn't want to practice using his puppets yet because he hadn't finished them. They would be the best marvels ever built. They were going to be his own creation and not something everyone else used. He finally became visible and his strings retracted quickly into his finger tips. The ground and trees were scared with the whipping of his strings. He then thought about the bunshin no jutsu. It was a jutsu that allowed the user the ability to duplicate themselves. He wanted to learn it because it would help him in his training and fighting skills. He closed his eyes and thought deeply. He thought about getting it on the first try. He showed no emotion and only had the jutsu on the mind. He calculated every small step, starting with using a small portion of his chakra which he knew would end in a failure. He then tried using a little more chakra but it would still end in a failure. He repeated this process until he found the perfect amount of chakra to use. He then thought of the technique itself, now that he had the chakra neccessary he would need to know exactly how to use the technique. His eyes remaind closed and he thought about the hand symbols and how to mold the chakra. He was making the perfect clone in his mind before applying it to real world experience. He looked at every detail of himself and memorized it so that the clone would look just like him. He then decided that he spent enough time preparing and that he needed to go forward with his attempt at the jutsu. He finally opened his eyes showing no emotion and he began the hand sign. He molded the chakra just like he thought in his head using the exact same amount of chakra. He thought of every detail of his body until his preparations paid off. He successfully pulled of the bunshin no jutsu without any flaws or imperfections. He still showed no emotion and as the clone poofed away he walked back to his class to keep his top student statis.

Zinzuko returns to class to see that everyone was sitted. They all looked at him as he walked into class. He walked with extreme confidence and assured victory in whatever he did. It made all the boys jealous of him and all the girls love him. He sat down at the top of the class in a corner by himself next to the window. The teacher continued with his lesson as Zinzuko took his seat. Zinzuko never really got in trouble because he always made the best grades and was at the top of his class. He looked out the window as the teacher tought his lesson. He told people that they would have to learn the basic jutsu before learning anything more skillful. Zinzuko thought to himself that it would be simple to learn the basics since he was the best there was and that no one could go against him. He knew that all they wanted was for him to learn things like the substitution and the transformation jutsu. This was going to be a pointless endeavor but if the teacher wanted to waste time on this then Zinzuko would have no objections. Zinzuko was only bidding his time until graduation. Then he wouldn't have to deal with anyone else anymore. He walked outside with the rest of the class as the teacher transformed in front of them. The kids were in awe but Zinzuko found that uninteresting. The teacher began to explain to everyone that that was called the Henge no Jutsu. A jutsu created so that you could change your appearence. Zinzuko saw that this jutsu was lame and wouldn't come in handy in the future no matter how much the teacher tried to pursuade him it would. He ignored the teacher until he was finally called up to give a demonstration of the technique. Zinzuko walked up to the teacher. As he walked he thought about the move inside his head noticing the chakra mold the amount of chakra and the technique itself. It was so elementary that Zinzuko could do it in his sleep. He decided that he would have to do it or else the teacher would throw a fit. Zinzuko formed the handsign and a giant puff of smoke came up covering his body. The smoke slowly moved up his body showing the feet first. The smoke traveled up his entire body until it showed that his body was transformed into the teachers. It was an exact likeness and was a perfect copy in every way. The teacher clapped and so did the class but Zinzuko turned back and went to the back of the class again. He stood there and waited for everyone else to finish their lame attempts at being as good as him. He waited until the end of class.

User Image Zinzuko stood as the only one at the academy as everyone else went home. Zinzuko looked around and then formed a handsign. A clone of himself appeared and he began to fight it. The clone was attacking as Zinzuko just dodged. Zinzuko dodged with ease and grace as the clone attacked. Zinzuko began to attack back using the threads. He dashed and slashed through the clone with the threads. The clone poofed away and Zinzuko created another to spar with. This clone attacked using threads so it would be a little more difficult. Zinzuko dashed and dodged around trying not to get hit by them. He dashed backwards and watched the clone dash at him. Zinzuko stood and the clone was cought in the trap that Zinzuko placed. It was a thread stretched tightly through two trees. It tangled the clone and when Zinzuko pulled his hand back it completly sliced the clone making it poof away. Zinzuko stared at where the clone poofed away at. Zinzuko created two other clones to up the difficulty. They attacked in unison making it a little more difficult for Zinzuko but not all that much since they were each only 1/10 of his original power. He blocked their attacks with ease then dodged the threads that came out of the ground behind him. He kicked one in the chest making it poof away. But as soon as that happened the other clone dashed at the opening and stabbed Zinzuko in the chest with five threads. Zinzuko was hit but then poofed away and left a log in his place. He whipped the the clone and it vanished out of sight. He didn't want to end it there because it would be lame to do so little training. He summoned five clones up. They all attacked Zinzuko at full power, all he did was stand still. He dodged the attacks made by the clones. He dashed and dodged the threads from two of the clones while the another two came and did multiple up close combo's. Zinzuko vanished than reappeared above them and stabbed them both with his threads. There were three clones left. One attacked Zinzuko head on and started with a kick to the legs then began to use the threads to whip at him. He dodged these attacks and threw a kunai at the clone making it poof. He then threw two kunai and the kunai poofed turning into clones who punched the other two clones. Zinzuko followed up this attack with another thread attack from above. The threads pierced the clones making them vanish. He was finished with his physical training and now was going to move on to other forms of training. He looked at the moon and knew he was getting stronger. It was only a matter of time before he would graduate and leave this stupid academy. Zinzuko believed that all these students in this school were useless and incignificant compared to him. He turned towards the school and looked up and down at it. He scanned the entire thing and his face has no emotion. He continued to stare and then decided to go back to his training. He walked to the tallest tree he could find. He found the one he would use for training and he tested the durability of the tree. He wanted to make sure that the tree would be able to hold up if any mistakes were made even though he knew he wouldn't mess up. He kicked it hard enough to make it shake. He then looked up it and backed up away from the tree to see how tall it was. He was going to try and run up the tree using his chakra so he had to make sure he used the right amount of chakra so he wouldn't use to much and waste it. He hated doing things that made no sense. He knew this would be simple. But not just simple, very simple. He practically knew how to do it even though he never really tried it. He walked back to the trees base and then decided to walk up the tree. He saw no point in running if he already knew how to do it. It was too easy for him. He walked up the tree as if it was nothing. He continued to walk up the tree until he got to the top and then he walked back down then hung down from a branch with his feet. He looked forward and stop the chakra flow to his feet so he would simply drop to the ground. He landed perfectly on the ground without any trouble at all. He was actually kind of upset that it was so simple and easy. He thought that there would be some kind of trick to it and not just a normal ability that any smart ninja can do. He began to leave the academy and head just outside the village so he could find some kind of body of water. One he could use the same technique on. He found it kind of hard to do that since he was in the sand village so he began to improvise. He went to the hot springs and went to one of the bathing areas. The water was steaming hot and deep enough for you to put your whole body in. He knew that if he fell in it would burn his skin. He wasn't afraid though because this would be just like the tree climbing technique. He wouldn't even have to try that hard in order to walk on the water. He knew exactly what to do and how to do it without any mistakes. This would be a perfect place to begin his water training. Zinzuko looked at the water then closed his eyes. He focused his chakra into his feet and took a step onto the water. He was standing on the water with no real problems at all. He walked further into the water and stood in the center of the steaming water. He was relieved and knew now that he knew all of the required abilities to graduate. He was now able to do what he wanted instead of being controlled by a teacher. He couldn't stand being in the academy and he couldn't stand the students around him. They all made him extremly agitated. He stepped of the water and left the spa to go to his own home. He walked into his house and went to sleep, to await the next day. There was only one more day that he had to wait. Only one more day until he would become a fully acknowledged ninja of the hidden sand village. He was only one step away before then.

It was evening as Mirch walked out of the academy yawning a bit as he looked ahead with his right hand rubbing his head as he tried fixing his hair as he needed to find his sensei who was going to be teaching him new jutsu as he was told to stay and come out when the sun began to set. He looked around and saw someone who was leaning on a tree by a dummy, noticing the headband and flak jacket, he assumed it was his sensei. "Sensei!" Mirch shouted at the person as the figure lifted his head to peer upon Mirch until a small smile appeared on his face. "Ah, Mirch, you came. Now, did you review the jutsu I told you to study?" Mirch took out a small list with information of the basic jutsu they could learn. "Yes Sensei, but could you demonstrate them for me once more?" Mirch asked as he was a visual learner and could learn much better when seeing than just imagining it. "Very well, I will show you each jutsu once more, but take note."

Sensei began to perform the hand seals to show his student how to perform the jutsu. "Inu, I, Tora. Henge no Jutsu!" Smoke appeared around the sensei as the cloud covered him momentarily before settling to reveal a transformed sensei taking on the shape of Mirch before a puff of smoke surrounded the sensei's feet and covering him before it dispersed to reveal him transforming back. "Henge no Jutsu, the Transformation Technique. You must mentally think of an image, and constantly emit chakra to maintain that form and have no flaws, otherwise you would create an imperfect transformation."

Mirch nodded as he first created the hand seals to perform the jutsu. "Inu, I, Tora! Henge no Jutsu!" Mirch shouted as a puff of smoke began to rise from his feet as it began to surround him as he tried to focus and maintain the image of his sensei. The smoke cleared as it revealed a maintained transformation, however the sensei gave a face of disapproval as Mirch had transformed into a mirror of Sensei. "Wrong.." He said as Mirch transformed back as he asked why. "The form and shape was excellent, however you need to transform exactly with complete detailing the same. You transformed as you look at me, however you need to think and imagine as I would and become me." Mirch nodded as he closed his eyes and thought carefully of each part of Sensei to perfect the transformation as he thought hard. Creating each hand seal, he tried once more. "Henge no Jutsu!" The puff of smoke once more rose up surrounding Mirch as he took on the form of his sensei once more as Sensei came closer to inspect. "Hmm, excellent, you remembered that my pouch that contain my ninja tools are on my right leg, and that my hair is towards the right side of my face, and the the smallest details such as the scar on my left hand are correct. Well done, you have done a successful Henge no Jutsu."

With the Henge no Jutsu performed, it was Sensei's turn to show him the next jutsu. "Hitsuji, Mi, Tora. Bunshin no Jutsu." Running towards two trees with small space between, Sensei created the hand seals and performed the Bunshin no Jutsu, creating two clones on opposite sides of him as they ran with him. Running through the opened area, the clones dispersed as they ran into the trees as Sensei ran back Mirch as his demonstration was over. "The Bunshin no Jutsu, or clone technique, creates illusions of yourself, however they have no substance and is easy to tell as the clones cannot interact with the area around them and have no shadows." Mirch nodded as he remembered this lesson in his notes as it was his turn to perform the jutsu. "Hitsuji, Mi, Tora... Bunshin no Jutsu!" Mirch released his chakra as a visible image began to take shape by him as the image became more focused. Within a moment the image became the image of Mirch with his hands still in the Tora seal.

"Excellent! I expected this would be easier for you than the Henge no Jutsu as you know your own body than someone's else." Sensei said giving a small applause as expected Mirch to do much better on this jutsu, but the rate he did so was much faster than he thought. "Very well, I will teach you the third jutsu." Sensei walked behind the tree he was leaning on earlier as he took out a dummy full of straw. "The Art of Substitution, to replace yourself with a nearby object during battle with help as you will be safe." Sensei looked at Mirch with a dim glare as he told him to open his pouch and take out a kunai. "I want you to take that kunai and throw it at me, I will demonstrate it for you." Mirch nodded as he was worried a bit about hurting his sensei, however he understood that Sensei knew what he was doing as he raised the kunai in his hand. Within a swift motion of his hand, the kunai flew outwards at Sensei as he began performing the hand seals quickly. "Hitsuji, I, Ushi, Inu, Mi." The kunai entered the body of Sensei as he began falling back until a puff of smoke covered him and revealed the kunai to have entered the body of the dummy as Sensei was now standing where the dummy was a moment ago.

Mirch gulped as a small bead of sweat trickled down his forehead as Sensei held up a pair of shurikens. "Now remember, do not be afraid and simply focus on substituting yourself with the dummy and you should be fine." Mirch nodded as Sensei placed one shuriken into his left hand as he threw the other with his right towards Mirch's left shoulder. "Hitsuji, I, Ushi, In-" Mirch stopped performing the hand seals as he was hit in the shoulder as he felt the sharp pain of the shuriken's point enter. Mirch groaned as he gasped a bit for air as he took the shuriken out of his shoulder as he cupped over the wound as he looked at Sensei. "Throw the other one... I need to try again." Sensei raised his left hand as he threw the shuriken towards Mirch's chest this time as Mirch had to form the hand seals faster or risk another injury. "Hitsuji, I, Ushi, Uni, Mi!" The shuriken hit Mirch right in the right pectoral area as he stood for a moment before falling forward until a puff of smoke surrounded him as a dummy took its place with the shuriken stuck in the dummy. Sensei began clapping at his student as he truly has been studying as he walked over took out a small role of gauze to bandage the wound so it could close. "Mirch, you've done well, and now you can pass to the next phase of your training.

User Image Zinzuko walked back to the academy the next day. On his way he saw most of the people in the village were heading to the academy were heading there as well. He continued to walk until he reached the front door and entered. As soon as he entered a teacher grabbed him and said that he needed to hurry to the stage because the graduation ceromony was starting. Zinzuko walked over to the stage with the other academy students and looked up out to see everyone in the crowd. He saw the faces of all the people in the village except for his parents. This didn't make him feel anything, he knew they were dead and was completly ok with that. His eyes showed no emotion or remorse. They only showed nothingness and determination. The crowd clapped and cheered as the graduates stood up and and smiled and waved to the crowd. Zinzuko just stood there with no movement and no real intrest in the ceromony. After the ceromony Zinzuko skipped the whole food scene in the cafeteria at the academy and decided to go to a secret training spot where he would go when he couldn't take the company of others. He walked through the village seeing no mostly because they were all at the academy. He walked into an abandoned building and locked it behind him. He then went down these stairs that led to the cellar. Everything looked pretty normal but the wall seemed a little wierd. Not wierd where you would notice but wierd where you could see writing on it. He touch it and sent a small spark of chakra through the wall. The wall opened and showed a tunnel. The tunnel went all the way to the next room and he did the same thing and it opened to show a large training room. This room was underground so he had as much room as he needed. He walked in and stood in the middle of the room. He threw his scroll and then it poofed turning into his Puppet of Destruction. This was one of three puppets of his own design. He made these puppets in a way that they would menuvor easily. Zinzuko created the chakra strings and then connected them to the puppet. No one ever knew that he knew how to control puppets. He hid this from people so no one would know his abilities. This way would be safer in the future. He began training with the puppet. Using every weapon in its body to make sure that everything was working. He attacked the ground with the puppet and was moving it expertly. He was able to control it perfectly without any flaws. He moved it around in zig-zags dashing it forword and back making it like the puppet was dodging the attacks of some invisible ninja. Zinzuko continued to control the puppet to further his training. He had one more test to make sure his puppet was in full form. He looked at the puppets metal limbs and then made it dash as fast as it could towards the wall. The puppet smashed into the wall with its entire body making a giant crater. The shaking was sent throughout the entire underground. Zinzuko looked up at the cieling and then looked at his puppet. He knew it was perfectly made and saw no flaws at all in his puppet. He made sure it was extremly durable and no openings at all in its defense. He insepected it one last time seeing that the metal was neither bent nore scratched from that attack. The puppet poofed away turning back into the scroll. Zinzuko picked it up and put it on his belt and left the underground hideout to return to the village. He was heading home to rest and wait for the next day to slowly arrive.

Reality and her dream world. These two things, though completely different in every way possible, were becoming more and more difficult for little Alice to tell apart at this point. Some days it was fairly clear what was true and what was the fantasy she wishes were true, but others days it was a complete guess as to which world the blond was wandering around in today. As for today though, it was the real world. Her sky blue eyes blinked as she looked at her young adult form in the reflection of a pond outside of the ninja academy.

She wasn't too sure why she had even decided to go to ninja academy. The girl hated violence and usually only used nightmares as a form of self defense when others stepped too close to her fantasies, but over the course of the month, she had slowly made her way to the academy. Honestly, it should not have taken as long as a month to get to the academy, but any one aware of who she was and what she was like could easily understand how it would take her so long to get from "Point A" to "Point B". The girl was a Raisu. Like any Raisu, she had a habit of sleeping deeply and for long periods of time. The difference was that, as she slept, she would become so involved in her dreams that she could sleep for days and not realize it. She always came out of the dreams fin and as though it had only bee a few hours, but the long hours of sleeping is what slowed her down most. Thankfully, no one had hurt her, but she was still painfully aware of the fact that she could have easily have been killed.

Perhaps that was why she had come. She did enjoy her dreams, but it was time she started facing reality and learn some self control, starting with not sleeping for forty hours at a time. She blinked once more at her reflection before she lightly pinched her cheek and gave a light tug. Upon seeing she was still as her image had been, she smiled and nodded. It was good to know she was awake so that she could begin her training.

Alice turned and walked into the academy with a shy smile and a light blush. There were so many people here, and none of them seemed familiar. She wasn't too surprised-- she didn't exactly see many people in her village, so why would she a familiar face outside of the village. She blushed slightly harder and looked down, embarrassed at how she could have possibly not even tried to get to know any one back home so that she wouldn't be training alone. With a light huff, she raised her head and put on a determined expression. "I'm going to make sure I train hard and be the best that I can be. After all, what fun is it to wander around in the real world alone and scared?" She gave another glance around at the people already training before she fixed her feet to the ground and began walking once more. First thing was first, she needed to find a teacher willing to help her out. Not a lot of teachers would be willing to take on a single student, but she needed to find at least one who had the time and patience for it.

Upon looking, her eyes fell on a raven-haired woman wearing a fish net top, very short shorts, and eating some sort of round food with pastel colors. Alice tilted her head slightly at the sight of the woman. She couldn't figure out what it was about her, but she felt that she might be a teacher. Quickly, the blond girl ran over to the woman and paused. The woman paused in her eating and looked up to the girl with brown eyes that held no interest in the person in front of her. Alice went to say something but found nothing would come out. She closed her mouth and pursed her lips, looking to the woman in silence. The woman simply looked back before she frowned in annoyance and gave a light growl. "What do you want, little girl? Can't you seem I'm eating here?" Alice gave a soft gulp before she quietly said, "Umm, I'm looking for some one who is willing to be my teacher..." The woman lifted a impatient eyebrow and frowned deeply. "Huh? Speak up now! I thought I heard you say you were wanting a teacher?! Ha! You know this is a ninja academy, right? This isn't some prep school for well-mannered girls to learn how to cook and sew." Alice took in a deep breath before she let it out calmly and spoke up, more confident in what she said. "I know I don't look like it, but I am here to train as a ninja. These clothing are more comfortable for me, even if they might not be the best for fighting in. I am sure I will be fine so long as I have a good teacher to start me off."

Both stayed in silence, looked at one another before the woman waiting finished what was left of hr food and then held a finger up in the motion to twirl around. "Let me get a good look at you real quick, girly." Alice nodded and did as she was told, slowly turning to give the woman a view of what was in front of her. Alice had long blond hair that covered her back and mostly concealed the rabbit-shaped book bag she wore with her blue parasol attached on top. She wore a small, frilly white bag on her side which contained both a deck of cards and her sleeping powder. These, mixed with the stripped dress, the stripped stocking, the shiny black mary janes, and her frilly apron and the bows all over her person, it was no wonder the woman thought she was lost. The woman held up one hand to signal Alice to stop her spinning, to which Alice was thankful for since the woman had made her spin twenty times in a row, even if it was a slow pace. "You sure you're here to be a ninja, girly?" Alice nodded her head lightly. "This isn't some joke or dare your friends put you up to?" Alice shook her head slightly quickly. "You promise not to get in the way or be a pain in the a** to me?" Alice nodded her head hard once. With this, the woman sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. "You're a weird one, but I guess I'll take you on as a student, but just long enough to teach you basic skills. After that, you're on you're own. Got it kid?" Alice got a look of surprise and awe as the woman revealed she would teach her basic skills before she smiled and nodded happily. "Yes, ma'am! Thank you! I'll do my best to train hard, teacher." The woman nodded before she stood up and picked up a brown jacket that had been sitting next to her which wielded the symbol of the village she was from. "Alright then. Let's get you started. You seem like you might actually have potential... Don't let me down and turn up to be a waste of my time!" "Yes, Ma'am!" Alice grinned widely as she held firm to the straps of her book bag and prepared to begin training.

___________________________________

Training began right away. It was a lot more intense than Alice had thought it would be, which caused her to become exhausted quite quickly. She did not complain a single time during the shiriken practice, even if her pinwheels worked a little differently than what the teacher was using to show how to attack, or during the chakara molding which had been particularly boring. What had gotten her was the leaf concentration exercises. She had closed her eyes to focus on the leaf, and in the process fell asleep. It too her teacher a while to realize she had been asleep, and when the teacher had finally woken Alice up she was quite irritated. "What is your problem? This was only the second training exercise of the day! You're tired already?! Pathetic!" Alice blushed and then began the task of explaining who and what she was. Upon hearing Raisu, the teacher groaned in pain and slapped herself in the forehead. "You've got to be kidding me! I'm teaching one of those lazy clan members that sleep twenty hours a day!" "Umm, well, I sleep forty hours a day usually..." "Four-! There's only twenty-four hours a day, idiot! What do you mean you sleep forty hours a day?!" "Umm, well, uh, I... It's sort of hard to explain, teacher. Time just sort of slips past me when I sleep... I really did try my best to stay awake during the leaf exercise, teacher. Honestly I did. It's just so hard for me to keep awake once I close my eyes for more than a minute..." Her teacher mumbled something under her breath before she looked up to Alice in annoyance. If you can't keep from falling asleep, then how do you plan to train to get stronger?" Alice frowned and looked down sadly with tears in her eyes. "I'm sorry, teacher. I will try much harder not to mess up next time. Please forgive me and kep training me so that I can get stronger and stay awake longer..." The woman with the raven hair looked down her golden-haired student and let out a long, tired sigh. "Alright, fine. I'll keep training you. Just try not to fall asleep for a while, alright? If you can stay awake for the next few hours, I will take you out to eat, my treat." Alice looked up to her teacher with a few tears in her eyes before she smiled lightly and nodded. "Thank you for not giving up in me, teacher. I will work hard to stay up and finish my training for today."

A few hours later, Alice was still awake. The weight taining had been pretty difficult, and every mucsle in her body was sore from exerting so much energy and strength into lifting the weights. The sadest part was that they were supposedly really light to what a ninja should be able to carry. This bummed Alice out to no extent, but her teacher would pull through with their deal. They made their way to a stand that was selling some sort of soup called "ramen" and sat down on a bench nearby. Alice looked at the sticks in her hands and blinked lightly in confusion before she watched how her teacher was eating. Even though the sticks were in her hands, the speed at which her teacher ate made it look like she was hardly using the things at all. Alice looked unsurely at the sticks in her own hand before she attempted imitating her teacher. Instead of getting noodles in her mouth, she got hot broth in her lap. She yelped and did her best not to spill more of the hot soup onto herself. Her teacher paused and looked to Alice in confusion before hse noted how the girl was holding her chopsticks. "Haven't you ever eaten with those before?" When Alice shook her head with a blush, her teacher sighed and slapped a hand to her forehead. "What the hell'd I get myself into? Alright, here. I'll teach you how it's done. Hold the chopsticks like this." The teacher held up her sticks and Alice copied her action. "Alright, now try moving one like this." Te raven teacher moved her chopstick, and Alice was quick to follow the motion. With a nod, the teacher demonstrated how to hold the bowl just right and how to lift the noodles from he bowl and to her mouth. Alice copied and slurped up her noodles before she smiled widely and licked her lips. "This is great, teacher! It's so tasty!" Her teacher blinked in light surprise that her student apperently had never had ramen before, but then she smiled lightly and gave a soft chuckle. "Yeah, it is pretty good, isn't it? Now hurry up and finish eating. We need to get you to a bath house to clean up and practice some more on controlling your chakra."

___________________________________

On the way to the bath house, the teacher had made Alice strap weights to her ankles and run to the bath house. The route they took was twisty and winding, and it seemed to take forever to get there. When they arrived, Alice learned the reason it took so long was because her teacher was making her take a bunch of back alleys away from the baths. Truth be told, they had only been five minutes away from the springs when they had been eating their dinner. Hr legs were in so much pain. She could barly stand, let alone walk the few steps to get into the bath house itself now. This upset Alice and she very briefly showed some violence, though it wasn't anything too extreme. All she did was clench her fist and try to take a swing at the teacher that had made a fool out of her. This gave her a nice little lesson in sparring. Her teacher laughed a little since Alice was still pretty weak from the weight lifting she had done earlier in the day, so her hit was even weaker than a little girl's-- barely making impact on the teacher but only being strong enough to feel like some one had flung a dust bunny at her. Still, the Raisu was taught a very quick lesson on both the art of sparring and how one should never raise a hand to their teacher... Especailly one as ruthless as her mysterious and quick to anger teacher. Now she was even more sore than she had been when they had gotten done with dinner thanks to the beating her teacher had given her. Thankfully, all the tracher had done was leave some nasty bruises on her. There was nothing broken or in serious need of medical attention. Still, Alice hadn't even been aware that so much pain was humanly possible. Then again, she was using a lot of muscles in this one day than she normally considered using-- wich, for the most part, pretty much meant all of her small, "squishy" muscles. Squishy being the word Alice's teacher had used to describe the amount of muscle in Alice. Now, she truly did feel like human jelly and wanted no more than to lay down and sleep. Her teacher had other plans though. She wanted to do some meditation trainings. Instantly, Alice fell asleep. Almost as quickly, her teacher woke her up. After some time of this, Alice asked, "Teacher, are we almost done training? We have done so much since we met earlier today. Sure that means we're almost done learning all the basics, right?" Her teacher looed at her for a few minutes and then burst into a fit of laughter. Alice got a worried expression on her face and tilted her head to the side. "What is so funny, teacher?" Her eacher laughed hard for a few minutes before she calmed enough to blurt out, "We haven't even begun your real training! The stuff you learned today? That stuff was all the extra stuff you don't really need to know!" Alice frowned and felt that she was going to cry. Her entire day... Wasted on learning accesory moves not needed to graduate...

Alice had been in a calm peaceful, tranquill state when a great earthquake hit where she was at. She looked around, fearful about what could be happening. Some of the students screamed and ran in fear as teachers tried to calm every one. This lasted for quite some time. Occassionally, Alice was hit in the face with something hard, though she never caught sight of what it was until she would look down and suddenly see an object that hadn't been there before. She was afraid, and the enttire time this happened, she could hear her teacher calling out for her but couldn't actually see the woman. It wasn't until she caught sight of her own reflection that she found out why she couldn't find her teacher. She was a little girl. She was in her dream form. Suddenly, a flash of light, and the world around her was changed.

It wasn't an earthquake. She opened her eyes just in time to find what had hit her in the face was her own teacher's hand. The teacher delivered one more hard smack to the face before she realized Alice was awake and confused. The teacher panted, clerly distraught about something. A look of anger and annoyance washed over the teacher's face and she instantly began yelling. "Why the hell didn't you wake up?! I've been shaking you like a rag doll for the past hour now!" Alice blinked lightly before asking politely, "Hour? But... It seemed so much shorter...." Her teacher got a bewildered expression before she began yelling again. "What?! You felt that and you didnt wake up?! What the hell! You had me worried, kid! I thought you might have died in your sleep! What do you mean it felt like it was shorter?" Alice looked down and scratched her head lightly as she thought everything over. "Well now... I was asleep in my bed when I woke up. I crossed the room and went to the training ground like you had said. Other's were there too.... Then, there was this great earthquake! I was so terribly frightened, just like everyone else. I decided I should find you since every oe else was going to their teachers as well. I searched and searched and searched for you, but I could find you no where! I heard you, but I couldn't see you. Things flew at me and-- dear, my cheek does feel aweful sore-- they made it much harder to find you. But, then, I figured out it was all just a vivid dream, so I woke up. I suppose those last few seconds are when I actually felt you shaking me..." The teacher's furious expression melted into one of confusion and slight curiousity. After Alice's story, she sighed and shook her head. "Get dressed, will you? We're already running behind. After you're dressed, meet me at the training ground. We'll eat breakfast and begin your real training." Alice smiled happily and nodded before she did as told

Brunch had been great. It couldn't exactly be called breakfast since it was nearly noon when Alice had finally come to, but breakfast had already been made for them so they dined on the cold food with no complaints from either. Alice tried apologizing several times durring their meal, but the teacher simply told her to shut up about it and to not worry. The teacher mearly replied with, "If you can sleep that deeply, then I'm sure you could find a way to use it to your advantage... Perhaps one day you'll make a good spy and decoy for some team-- get close to the enemy and then fake your death since ou sure as hell fooled me."

The first order of business was water walking. The teacher hadn't wanted to start Alice off too roughly this morning, and since they had already done meditation and chakara control this woul be easier. As it turns out, the teacher was correct. Alice was able to quickly figure out how to wak on water thanks to the accessory moves that had seemed pointless the day before. The teacher was very pleased at the fact she was able to pick up on it so quickly that they moved onto tree climbing.

This one was, surprisingly, trickier for Alice. The teacher had thought that if Alice could do the harder of the chakara control skills with such ease, then surely she could pick up tree climbing. Several factors played against Alice in this move. First was the fact that, in real life, she was deathly afraid of heights. She started off well, but the higher she went, the more tempted she was to loo down. As she looked down, color would drain from her face and she would faint. The one that really freaked the teacher out was when Alice made it almost four stories off the ground, looked down ever so slightly, and then paniced and kicked herself away from the tree before she fainted. Her teacher had to practically dive in order to catch Alice and keeping her from killing herself. When Alice came to, the teacher knocked her out again with a swift punch to the face. After Alice recovered from her teacher knocking her out, both decided that running up the tree was probably not the best of ideas. Teacher volunteered to walk with Alice on her way to the top so that way she could keep the girl focused on something other than how high up they were. This is where the second problem came in. As it turned out, Alice is more easy to distract than the teacher thought she would be. As they walked, Alice would stop paying attention to the fact that they were going up the side of a tree and would crash straight into some of the branches. This in turn would cause her to begin to fall, which made her look down, and the cycle of when she was running it alone would start all over again. "Kid! What the hell?! This has got to be twenty times more simplistic than walking on water! Get it right!" "Sorry, Teacher. I am doing the best that I can, but I shall try to do better." After several hours of trying to do the tree walking technique, both the student and teacher reached the top of the tree. They sat on a brach together and looked out at the grounds of the school. Alice clung to the trunk of the tree, but yet she still marvelled at how beautiful the scenery was. "Wow, teacher! This is so much more beautiful than I thought it would be! I am very thank ful you stuck with me durring this. Thank you so much." Her teacher sighed and hit her head against the trunk of the tree. "Alice, you're exhausting. I'm starting to wonder if the reason you sleep so much is to get away from how tiring you can be in real life!" She sighed again and rubbed her forehead. "Well, don't get too used to the view. We still have other stuff to teach you, kiddo. First thing's first, let's get down." Alice leaned forward so she could see her teacher better on her brach. Alice's blue eyes were wide and her face was as pale as a ghost. "D- Down? You want us to go down? B- But it was so much effort just getting up! What do you mean we have to get down?" "What, you weren't thinking we'd do the rest of your training up here, did you?" Alice was quiet. Both of them knew a tiny bit of her had hoped they would... "Listen, you're not going to get any where in life if you don't learn to get over your fears. Now come on. Stand up and start walking down the way you got up. This way, you will literally face your fears and hopefully show you really have mastered this technique. If you can't prove you've done either, than you'll never graduate." Alice gave a gulp before she looked down at the task that was to come. She took in a deep breath before she stood and began her long decent back towards solid ground.

The rest of training was considerably easier after the whole drama with the tree climbing technique. Alice was very quick to learn anything, the teacher eagerly learned, and was always happy to do so no matter how tiring it was to do each and every technique. Granted, Alice wasn't exactly the brightest pupil the teacher had ever taught, nor was she the bravest, but she did at least put effort into everything she did. There were a few instances where Alice would begin drifting back to sleep, but the moment the teacher yelled at her, Alice was wide awake and apologizing before getting back to what she had started. At the end of all the hard work and training, the teacher smiled to Alice and nodded. "Congrats, girly, you now know every basic move for shinobi when they leave the academy. How do you feel?" The blond haired girl yawned politely and ave a light stretch before she ubbed her eyes. "I'll be honest with you, teacher, I'm exhausted. I really just want to lay down, take a nice long nap, and then head back home to finish my basic training since the techniques my clan uses can only be learned there." The teacher laughed loudly before she gave Alice a hard slap on the back. "You're alright, girly! Listen, if you ever need help, either come here or hunt me down in my home village, got it?" Alice stumbled slightly at the slap but then smiled lightly up to her teacher. "Your home village, teacher? But there are so many out there. Which village do you mean?" Her teacher blinked in confusion before she realized Alice probably had not seen her head band. She pointed out the leaf symbol carved into it and gave a wicked grin. "You can find me in Hidden Leaf. You know what kind of stuff I like by now, so it shouldn't be too hard for you to find me." Alice smiled lightly and nodded. "Thank you, teacher. I will remember to come to you when I need it most. Thank you so much for training me. Have a good day, and sleep well." Alice gave a light-hearted giggle before she picked up what wasn't already packed away in her whie rabbit book bag and left the academy, ready to take on the world as a brand new ninja.... Assuming she can stay awake for more than an hour.

As heart touching as her teacher's good bye had been, it was not quite time for the two to seperate. Alice thought that all her training was done, but the truth was that her teacher planned on surprising Alice with a test to make sure she really had learned everything instead of just mimicking her movements. As Alice began to leave the academy, a shuriken went flying past her head and cut a few strands of her golden hair. She paused in her track and blinked lightly before she turned to see what was going on. At first, she had thought that perhaps one of the groups training nearby had been doing the target practice and missed. Lord knows that had happened quite a few times with Alice herself. When she turned, she saw her teacher holding a giant ninja star in one hand and several kunai in her other. A wide, evil grin was spread across her teacher's face. Alice was in shock to find that this was what had thrown the kunai. "T- Teacher? What are you..." "Don't talk, girly! Just fight!" Her teacher lunged forward at her, ready to go for the kill. Alice knew this for a fact and instinctively grabbed for the pack on her side. She grabbed hold of some of the sand and threw it as hard as she could, hitting her teacher in the face with most of what she had grabbed. The raven-haired woman stopped in her tracks and stumbled for a bit before she fell over. The Raisu gasped, realizing what she had done. Several hours passed before the woman recovered. She groaned lightly and began staggering to her feet, just to find Alice had stayed around to help her back to her feet. This confused the teacher, so she asked, "Why stay? You have your head band and you had me unconcious with... what ever that was you did earlier. Why would you stick around when I was ready to kill you?" Alice bushed lightly and looked down in embarrassment, realizing her teacher had a point. She could have fled as soon as she knew her teacher couldn't come after her. "... Well, it didn't seem like the right thing to do. Besides, I wanted to make sure you woke up, teacher. That sleeping dust is very powerful, so I wanted to make sure you wouldn't need medical attention..." The teacher looked to her student in awe before she smiled lightly and ruffled Alice's hair a bit with a grin. "You're alright, kid. Even if you didn't dispay your new attacks, you pleasantly surprised me. I hope one day you become a good opponent. When that day comes, come challenge me. It'd be fun to go against a challenge like you." Alice smiled and nodded lightly. "Agreed. I will be sure of that, teacher. Until that day, you keep training, too. I don't want to go against any one who will go easy on me just because of our past." They gave final good byes before both parted to head back towads their home villages.

Ota usually was not a very studious person but he loved the fact that this class would take advantage of his athletic ability. He sat, quietly biting his pencil as he waited for the teacher to swing those doors wide open and begin the class for 'tree walkin' as he called it. After a while Ota began to get comfortable and then sleepy but right when he closed his eyes his teacher walked in. A scrawny little guy with absolutely no possibility of being any good at taijustsu what-so-ever. 'Ah! What the hell is this?' Ota threw himself forward from his comfortable position. 'How is someone so weak going to teach this class?' Ota's thoughts made his face brighten with annoyance.

Ota tried keeping his eyes open as the teacher spoke of how the technique worked. 'Maybe he'll only be the proctor this time around.' Ota liked this idea more than his other thought, it brought him back to the real world and he began to take light notes on the basics of the move. "So..." He started to think out loud as he normally did. "I concentrate on the chakra in my feet to help them stabilize me and I should be fine." He felt ready to try the move out for the first time and the teacher noticed this in him and the rest of the students so he lead them out to the trees in the field outside the school.

Ota looked up at the trees with a confident atmosphere around him. In fact he was the first to attempt to move in the real world. The teacher came up next to him to give some final notes. The scrawny man lead Ota foot to the tree trunk and Ota began to think hard about the flow of chakra through his body. He picked up his other foot hesitantly but did not fall. A smile magically appeared on his face but it was quickly taken away not long after placing his next foot fat on the tree. He fell flat on his back and knocked his head against the ground. The other students crowded around and the teacher checked his head for any wounds, at the same time lifting him from the ground. "No, no! I'm fine." Ota sang and ran for the tree this time around. He planted his face into it at full force and sat himself down. "What am I doing wrong?" He looked up at the teacher with an interested face.

As the other students began to practice and find their own faults the teacher took a knee next to Ota and began with a grin. "Maybe you're not concentrating hard enough. Understand that for at least the first few times you can't have anything running through your mind other that your body's chakra flow." The teacher took to his feet and stepped on the tree trunk. He quickly lifted himself and walked up the trunk and then hung upside down from a branch. "You see? Once it's done, it's done." He jumped down with a turn and landed softly on his feet.

Ota nodded and picked himself up from the ground. He closed his eyes and breathed heavily to prepare himself. A step onto the tree and he concentrated on his chakra. It took him a while to become confident enough to take the next step, he had only just started this out and all. His next step placed him on the trunk but this wasn't the end. He straightened himself out without a hitch and began to step slowly. He felt all of his chakra at his feet. A slow accent followed. Several times in the process, he felt he would fall but he kept concentrated and reestablished himself. After nearly five minutes he finally reached a branch about half way up the tree and held on to it. He looked down and noticed how far he had gone. He grinned wide. "Haha! I did it!" He felt good about himself but didn't know how to get down from his spot.
