He didn't like to run background checks on someone after all what would be the point. Abel wasn't above doing it however though he could also think of other ways to get information. While he enjoyed beating it out of someone, he only did it out of necessity. He questioned Miguel though hardly expected much of an answer. The man was an enigma then again he had to be. Hearing Miguel's response, it was simple and one worded. Abel nodded simply, "Germany…And do you have family or friends there?" He asked curiously wondering if Miguel would be running away to nothing.

Jackob didn't know how much information Abel had gathered on him, if any at all. When it came to his own research, he looked through almost anything he could find on the man. From school records, previous addresses, and his family to where he liked to hang out, what car he drove, and his one and only employee. Officially, Jakob had never hired anyone to perform a background check on the man. He was simply too nosey for his own good and was able to find quite a bit about him from some his a couple of not-so-legal sources. As the man continued to question him, he didn't mind sharing about himself. At this point, he liked to think that he could trust him with this information. After all, aside from Kieran or Cornelius, who would it really be useful to. Jakob answered him honestly and watched him nod before continuing the interrogation. He nodded in answer. "My mom and her family still reside in Düsseldorf. Wait, did I never tell you that I was born and raised there?" he replied with a question of his own. Jakob could understand how it might sound as though he were merely running away. In part, he was. But at least there were people over there he knew he could stay with until he could get his affairs in order.

He figured he had some ties to Germany especially if he spoke in German. Though that didn't mean much. He hardly thought he'd been interrogating Miguel. After all, if he could think of better ways to question Miguel that didn't involve sitting in his nice comfy bed. He listened as Miguel spoke, soon questioning him, himself. Abel found his words amusing. "Well no…Though it's not like we talk about yourself…Usually if we do talk it's about your issues with Kieran…" He spoke making an observation. Abel wasn't bothered by not knowing too much about Miguel. After all, what was the point? He already had a plan to leave once he was healed enough.

After all he was merely his killer turned bed buddy. It wasn't like they had much to talk about that wasn't related to the job. Abel wasn't much for twenty questions either. He figured Miguel was allowed to keep his secrets. Abel listened as Miguel spoke about the obvious. He found it amusing. "Hmm, indeed." Abel commented as he watched Miguel. "So, your going to go to Germany and just hide out?" He asked, finding such reasoning nonsense.

He questioned Miguel about his choices, finding it amusing. Abel wasn't going to question Miguel's judgment . After all it seemed Miguel was content being alone. He listened as Miguel spoke. "Will you return when all this blows over or is this goodbye?" Abel asked honestly. He wasn't bothered by a goodbye though to never see him again it did pull forth some emotion.

He found the idea of running hardly comforting. Abel knew he could run but to where. He wasn't about to run to Germany however, he'd have nothing there. Abel questioned Miguel, soon watching as he thought about it. He found the question simple and yet it was turned on him. "Would you not miss me either?" Abel asked, though teasing Miguel.

He knew there was more to come if they both continued to attack Cornelius. Abel didn't have enough people to hold his own while Miguel had no one but himself. He wished Kirean was here so he had a better chance and plan. Abel had none while Miguel had at least a half a** plan. He too wondered if running would do him good though where would he run to? Abel teased Miguel not expecting too much of an answer back. He listened as Miguel responded, not at all surprised. "Only maybe…" Abel commented though he expected more. He didn't know what the end result would be between them.

Jakob knew that running was an act of cowardice, but what else could he do? He preferred to live than fight a battle he had no hope of winning. He too wished that Kieran were here. If for any reason, so that Abel would not have to face this alone. At least between the two of them they could come up with some kind of plan. He didn't know if it would be a good plan, but it had to be better than his own plan of running away. As of this moment, he didn't even know if that was going to work. For all he knew he could just be bringing his former boss home with him. Jakob tried not to stress about that particular detail too much as it would only make his anxieties on the whole matter worse.
Hearing Abel tease him, he could tease him back. He wasn't sure what kind of answer the man was looking for but his comment made him curious. Jakob smiled a little while knowing that it was more than just a maybe. Whatever this was between them, he would remember Abel. "Alright, just a little more than maybe." he teased once more. Reaching down, he took the males hand and laced their fingers together. "Besides, who else I supposed to b***h to or ask to sew me up when I'm quite literally falling apart." He too didn't know where their relationship would head, if it would ever budge past a dysfunctional friendship with occasional intimacy. Maybe it wasn't meant to, he didn't know.

Abel listened as Miguel teased him in return, soon feeling him take his hand and lace their fingers together. He listened as Miguel responded again teasing him. Abel rolled his eyes, "Yes, well don't make it a habit however. " He commented about the idea of stitching Miguel up all the time.

It felt near impossible for either of them to be able to forget each other so easily. After all, it had been quite an interesting couple of months since their initial meeting. He didn't know when or if he would see him again, but he hoped it would not be too long. Teasing the male again, he took his hand in to his own and assured him that he would not be forgotten. Jakob smiled as Abel rolled his eyes and commented briefly on his words. "No promises, but I'll try." he replied. Shifting slightly, Jakob leaned up and pressed a soft kiss to the males lips. He could only pray that he was never injured like this again.
[[No, I get it. I kind of feel like a time skip is needed. Especially since Jakob can't really do much and Abel's still all by himself. If you want to do a more long term time skip that's fine with me. Could like have Jakob heal up, maybe have him go ahead with his move. Unless you wanted him to still be hanging around Abel's house like six months to a year later. What do you think?]]
