Kara laughed quietly. She backed slowly away from Neko, still smiling. "Until tomorrow, then." She disappeared into the shadows again, the last visible thing being her dark eyes.
Because after tomorrow none of this will be necessary.

Nyl frowned at Neko's entrance, noting the look in his eyes. She said nothing about it.
"Family isn't always governed by traditional rules." Nyl yawned, leaning against the side of the couch tiredly.
