They don't teach Spanish in school, they teach the Mexican version of it. So you'd be at home in Mexico speaking the Spanish they teach you at school. Now, if you went to Madrid Spain, they would spit on you and laugh.

No, drive down into central mexico...they speak with so much dialect down there that they DO laugh at you when you attempt to speak standard

I have been to all across Mexico and Central American as well as Spain and most of the European countries. Spain is where the true dialect of the spanish tongue is spoken. All the rest are poor imitators. 3nodding

Sorry it took so long to reply...I was busy...shoving things down my pants ninja I store 4 tenis rackets, a computer mouse, 2 staplers, a telephone, a screw driver, one of those stapler removers, a compass, a dry erase board marker, 3 pairs of sissors, AND a pack of popcorn. All that was in my pants...OH YEA!
