Invulnerable saves allow for an Invulnerable save to be made.
Anybody got something Space Marine related to get this thread back on the rails?

Sure. Since my SM's are painted similar to the White Scars (completely by coincidence, i started painting a "demo model" that GW gave me, and it turned out coincidentally like the White Scars) similar to the White Scars, does that mean that the rules must be played as them? I had someone complain about my army once that since they are painted like the WS, that i need to use theyre rulebook. Im sorry if that sounded retarded, but im under the impression that all of the different "factions" of Space Marines have different rules. For example, the Salamanders get bonus's for using flamers, and that the WS's get more options for units on bikes.

Nope. You can paint them however you want and use them however you want, within the limitations of armies, of course. I painted mine DA, but I don't really like their more recent rules, so I use them as regular SM.
And unless the chapter has a specific codex(DA, BA, BT, SW), the army's special ability is controlled by the commander you take.

Alright, cool. Thats how I thought it was. As for "commander" as you said. I assume you mean Captain or Master? If so, you don't need to pick up the actual model do you? Can you just buy a master, and name him Kor'Sarro Khan, for example?

Don't you love the 'Count-As' rule! =D
Yep, all you have to do is model a Commander or Master to have equipment to fit the profile you want to use and say that he counts as who ever.
I'm currently trying to give the GamesDay model a storm bolter somewhere so I can count him as Pedro Kantor.

Thats awesome! So last question, lets say theoretically I do "make" Kor'Sarro Khan does my army then have to follow the White Scars rules? as he is the Master of the White Scars? or can I say "screw you, hes on my team of the... White PWZORZ"? lol

Anybody got something Space Marine related to get this thread back on the rails? Unless of course being hit by a weapon that doesn´t allow inv-saves, like Necron Warscyths.Neogoth666 Thats awesome! So last question, lets say theoretically I do "make" Kor'Sarro Khan does my army then have to follow the White Scars rules? as he is the Master of the White Scars? or can I say "screw you, hes on my team of the... White PWZORZ"? lol Technically, no. They can be a succesor chapter with a different name and combat doctorine. Since the army setup doesn´t changes much from the codex itself (with the exception of few units that special characters give), You can have completly different type of an army then WS, rather then full-frontal-assault-army-on-bikes, you could have a firebase army with bikes as outflankers (for example).
Codex: Space Marine chapters are not so stricked as they used to be when WD published Chapter Approve rules for "un"official special chapters like the White Scars or Raven Guards, which makes chapter-creating from existing chapters more easier and fun.
Just be sure to let your oppoment know what your army IS then it SHOULD be.Aku Kami Kurayami I painted mine DA, but I don't really like their more recent rules, so I use them as regular SM. Like wise, so I try to balance the new rules and units to the DA-codex, leaving only special units and characters as they are in the DA-codex. And yes, I always make sure it´s ok to use it like this. Lazy gw..... stare

That's how I would want to play it if I wanted to use the DA rules. I liked the 2nd ED codex, were it was merely a supplement.

Me too. GW actually made a huge mistake on that area, not only by codex-wise but also financial-wise. Not only they would have saved and earned money by having the "supplement" and SM-codex to buy, but also majority of units and rules are tied and taken from the SM-codex. If it changes, then they have to update everything, like it is now.

There might be a plastic Thunderhawk on the horizon at long last, possible release window is around the same time as Planet Strike. ninja

Sounds like a fight against a butt-load of Nurglings.
Though it would be interesting to set up a L4D way of playing it out...

Lordy, yes. The flying Baneblade. As to the possibility of that, I'd say it's pretty high. The model is incredible and there are a lot of people in my area that have said they'd pick up the model if not for the Forgeworld cost.
Brock, don't derail the thread.

You remember what happened the last time BoLS said they had pics of a Thunderhawk sprue, right? That said, I remain cautiously optimistic.
