He was a pretty amazing person. I have so much respect for him for keeping his integrity as a true martial artist while also achieving stardom. So...
I am thinking about having another go at being a guild owner... rolleyes
Pretty much, I just want a place where adults can go without worrying about the kids in the room, yet also a place where people are adult enough not to have to act like horny teenagers and the what-not...
I don't want a large guild, or a featured guild, or one that has a little of everything, like what the people who took over Savvy envisioned, just a place for grown-ups who like Gaia, and have an adult life as well.
Does it sound promising to anyone, or do you think it would be a waste of time?

I think it sounds like a good idea. smile the Mature Gaians Guild and the Gaian Geazers Guild (I hope I spelt that right) are both like that, and they are VERY popular. you've proven to be a well-liked Guild Captain in the past, too.

Well. I learned from past mistakes...
I am not going to let crew convince me to generalize to cater to everyone. I get overly excited when I meet people my own age-group on here. I want adults to surround myself with, and not the persnickety kind either... I know everyone has seen them around... you know... the ones who feel that their purpose online is to teach their upstanding moral character and PC to every child they meet, thinking that every Gaian is younger than they so everyone is probably a kid. Heck I might et them join just so I can kick them out (kidding... I wouldn't let them join)
I am not turning my next guild into a contest/game haven either, and in fact I already wrote my rule against it. I honestly think that was what did the last place in. stare If someone likes games they can easily find a guild that runneth over with them anywhere, and it is easily done with eyes closed.
If I have to take an extended leave, my guild will stay mine, and if it dies, I will live with the consequences.
Is this to harsh, do you think?

Not harsh at all. I prefer to think of it as protective, as if your guild will be your baby and you want to make sure things are done in it's best interests for foul or fair smile I think that's admirable.

Can I just say that I'm concerned that 'tolerance' and 'political correctness' in society is only working to its detriment, rather than its benefit? I say this mostly because I look at occurrences like this, the analysis of how the mainstream media works, and I realize that I've been right about PC and 'tolerance' the whole time. I've resigned myself to the fact that equality in this world doesn't truly exist, so I don't fool myself into thinking that it does, nor do I try to strive for it when it's a fool's errand. People need to realize that true equality stems from getting over the 'minority vs. majority' bullshit and just ignoring the comments. Minorities wouldn't exist if equality did, and minorities still exist, so at that point it sort of goes without saying that equality doesn't.

To me, there is an obvious difference between making a comment in a hurtful manner, and just making a comment, but PC nazis can turn any comment into a twisted and hurtful statement... My most recent experience was over the word "Gypsy"... I made the comment that I thought the idea of a gypsy lifestyle was awesome, and that I might be disposed to trying it if it wasn't for my family I have now... AND OH MY GOD! People dive bombed my like I was a white accountant dropping the N-word in the Apollo! I was called all sorts of names, from ignorant (which I obviously was) to b***h-a**-c**t... I was speaking admiration for a way of living and people completely took it as I was attacking an ethnic group. I learned something though, the PC term is "Roma"... but why the eff do I care what word I should use for anything as long as you know what I am talking about and in what tone I am talking, does it really matter... Seriously. I hear people say ****** in a friendly jovial manner all the time, but you sure as hell know when someone uses the word in a derogatory manner. Yet, certain groups are barred from saying it period, and that point right there gives a word that the PC nazis wish to eliminate lasting power over segregating ethnic groups. It is ridiculous.

You're clearly expressing admiration for the gypsy culture and yet you're insulted by people who are obviously FAR more ignorant than you say you were just for taking your statement entirely out of context and giving you s**t for it. However, ironically, the only purpose their grief-giving served was to reinforce the differences between us and them. Just like giving the so-called 'minorities' the rights to celebrate and be prideful of their heritage or orientation or religion, yet people who are considered part of the 'majority' (i.e. straight and white and male) who try to express their pride over their heritage and fortune are considered intolerant and bigoted. If people want to protest, they should do it when their rights are being infringed. Then, when they get what they want they should shut up and be satisfied like people like me are expected to do. Be prideful in silence, and make everybody do the same, or make the expression of pride ambiguous, like simply expressing appreciation for being alive. Honestly, more people should challenge the status quo. It's what this country needs is someone to force us to get out of our comfort zones and stepping up to change things around.

I am officially addicted to this damned Resort World... gonk
WTF!?
I quit Farmville on Facebook, because it was eating away precious hours of my life, and I suddenly realize the last 2 days have been blurry, and I wake up to realize I have like 100 new friends on my friendlist here on Gaia... Upon further investigation, I am level 9 in Resort World, and am building a Lighthouse of Alexandria (sweet! even if nothing else is) and I have found a vending system within the auction part of the game which I am taking full advantage of. Damn it!
If it wasn't for today being a gym day, I probably would never have noticed the day ticking away. I have issues. emo

Spent the day working on the farm with my best friend, other lovely people who live there, and a pretty awesome girl who I only met today.
After, I went for tea with my best friend and had the longest and most honest conversation I've had with her in waaay too long. So it was pretty wonderful and I'm happy now.
