Liquid Lights Vansin, you could keep everyone posted on the location of your airship, which PC's all around would be able to see from miles away. I want to be able to walk outside and be able to describe stepping to the shadow of the V.S.S. Capita. The giant 900 feet airship that covered most of Durem in it's shadow prior to firing energy beams on a specific alleyway. This happened about a week ago, though >.> It's normally a few thousand or hundred thousand feet in the air.

For now, just acknowledge that GTB is a current that doesn't end until a winner is decided. Even if you get eliminated, you can still rp in the guild itself.
I'm also going to give out little achievements this year. For example, Sin won the "First Death/ Blood" Achievement.

Amigone Labs .Inc It would still need a staff. Different timezones and the like, plus not just anyone should be trusted with the mule account. I attempted this very same idea a while ago but it went no where due to a sudden surge of a school issues. Had no time to manage it or get the word out. I think three to five people who are really behind the idea would be sufficient enough to make sure there would usually be someone there to GM the board. I don't imagine, once it's up, that it will require very much attention at all. I see a first post that describes the purpose of the thread, and then people just start posting updates in it. Posters can edit their own updates when the giant beast is killed or the dust is cleared or whatever. The only real instance where a 'staff' would be needed, that I can see, would be if some chumps start spamming the board up. The biggest task for a staff, or anyone who likes the thought of making this solid, would just be to motivate it into actually happening. And I say "actually happening" like it would be some miracle of it did. It wouldn't be. edit: nevermind. an actual staff might be very neccesary for getting all these links into the board thread, establish their geographical locations and distributing them to thread-owners correctly. Because it might not happen if we count on people to just... work together and do it.

xl a c e lx exp. 99 One comment. If ya'll are planning to actually try this gaia mainstream idea, it doesn't make sense for any guild with that label to be closed off. My example being the VS airship; I just tried to take a gander at the guild, and found I cannot so much as lurk. Seeing as the guild owners still hold final say about people allowed in the guild, for starters, much less who can do what and where, is it really necessary for a guild to remain hidden?

Well, the VS's base is an airship. You can't just -go- there, so it kinda makes sense for them to be closed off. However, Van said himself that if you want to have funtimes with them just send a PM. Communication. On the other hand, I would say that you shouldn't have to talk to them if you just want to, say, for a missile at the airship from the ground. There's nothing stopping you from doing that besides fear of retaliation. edit: you'd need a MOTIVE, though. I can see a guild wanting nothing to do with senseless attempts at destruction. that's not legit.

I'm spent here, for now. Going to get some Dragon Age in and think about drafting up that 'template' thing I was talking about unless someone else beats me to it.
Flayer: You just gave me an idea for a list of 'mainstream affiliates', which would -not- be a list of characters, just of players that acknowledge the whole system we're shooting for. Anyone can be added to it, any time, just as long as they express what you just did, and so that other people know who you are and can let you know when something major is going down. This list, of course, would go on the board.

I can't try and sabotage your evil ship because... you don't want to be held accountable for your actions? When I used "communication" to discuss the topic with you and your lackeys it boiled down to,
"Ya KB you can attack, but there's no way the airship will crash. Not even if my devil has to fly down and hold it up single-handedly."
It was then that I decided trying to RP with you or the rest of the VS would be a waste of time. It's a joke to even think of the VS as a legitimate threat, especially when you have to resort to tactics like that. If you want an invincible base no one can touch, just say you run off to your hidden base at the end of your forays, and no one will ever be able to retaliate.
But, no, apparently the VS is about literate roleplay, or something. lololololol.
