@Lolli; I destroy peoples bars all the time. I'm a bad guy, it's what I do. Y'know how you avoid the RAEG? You contact them first. A friendly PM.
"Hey, I want to run some plot for my character, mind if I come in an rob your till?"
When you open the channels of communication, people are much more inclined to cooperate x3

Vintrict I don't know if this is a bad or good thing. Think about it. Where are you all going to go once the tournament is over? That's exactly why I'm like, what the- you're bashing the eventual end of the road that you're walking down. So, where else do you think that mainstream would primarily exist aside from Barton and Commerce? Guilds aren't unless they're scattered in hundreds of people's signatures, are public and would be as easily accessible as posting in the main forums and ACKNOWLEDGED by other people as being mainstream. I dunno. I'm all for adding more affiliates to existing commerce threads and making it even easier for people to hop from one to another, but to start putting systems and things onto threads - that's like Arcturus' "Gaia Hardmode" project. Like an AU Mainstream thing, restricted specifically to those threads involved. I'd drop a link if I wasn't on my phone. ._________.

Vansin: Ah.
See, I can't make a character who loves rings a lot.
Not a huge ring fan myself.
Sey:
Gaia Hardmode was the best two weeks of Gaia I have ever experienced.
IT WAS AWESOME.

I always use Super Weight.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SuperWeight
I'd say, if two people other than you support it being on the list who are connected to it, it counts.
Sorta like, most people will know who Deitric is, because... well, we all know who he is. People will know Chen because "hey, isn't that the cop dude".

Sey Wait, wait, waaaaaaaaaait. Standardized power levels in mainstream? The fact that it's disgustingly freeform is one of it's appeals, along with being a double edged sword. How the hell are you going to try and put a power level on a space pirate that's got a world-destroying class ship or something? And how can you compare that power level to some elemental character that can control water? Edit: What KB said too :< in lu bu, we had a rule about power scale, especially for cosmic characters. Noire couldn't attack anyone who wasn't already immortal, godlike, or cosmic. I wrote an RPG years ago for playing Fallen Angels in white wolf, back before they made a s**t version and called it Demon the fallen. Basically you had something called "Jurisdiction". Persons, places, and things had Jurisdictions, so while a president might have 7 health levels, he would also be outside your jurisdiction because he was too important to the "plan". Scales ranged from private individual, local, and domestic to public, political, national, global, stellar, interstellar, galactic, pangalactic, universal, and multiversal, if necessary. You could probably lay these out on a 6-12 point scale.

I remember the days of Commerce when the Oni no Ashita went around and raided bars. Back then, the only other competition was Tobuketsu's Akatsuki, and they were hardly around. Eventually, the Oni became like the number 1 organization until it distilled with drama and busy lives, and everyone vanished other than a few, those few being Dizzy, Wyvern, Kalar, Trinity, and occasionally Naota Takun. That's it.

I'll probibly either return to the BSB or maybe go to either the cloak and dagger or Yard after GTB.
That being said I fully support the innercontectivity of popular commerce and barton fourms to allow flowing of characters and what not.
I think basic limits on powers should be held, to prevent things like LOLZ REWINDS and stuff. Other than nulling God-like powers (These can be determind by thread owners) its an open table.

The Vansin It's just rings and s**t, Fiend. We're just a ring enthusiast group. Also, when I say standard of power, I mean that everyone should know exactly where everyone else stands as far as power. And, silly as it sounds, only certain people should be allowed to play really sickeningly strong characters. Because I can bring my main into any thread and very likely, if you compare his character build to theirs, kill the ******** out of a lot of people. I don't see much problem with that, because I never will ever DO that. But there are people who will. And if we're going to try and make awesome stories in a continuity, then the fact is that we won't WANT people like that, people who can waltz in and ******** up everything people work for with their character's stories. I like at least some sort of loose power standardization. Sometimes, a dramatic thing like that is what creates interest. Like, one day, s**t just goes down. Some people get hurt. Some even killed. It's change and change is the necessary evil. It should only be uses sparingly, however.

I need to bug Jello to see if he's got a link back there - I have so many holes on Sey's history from those days because I lost all my saved links when I switched computers.
