I finally found a Japanese person who might be willing to host if I decide to take a trip to Japan.
But it's a 27 year old woman who lives in Fukushima. Land of the nuclear reactor leak.
And if it's actually her home... people might think I was her boyfriend or ******** I'm feeling conflicted.

Sorry for my inactivity!
I just got back from the Convention!
I'm so excited! My costume actually turned out pretty well. I entered Hall Cosplay for the first time and won my time slot! *dances*
I can't wait for next year ^_^
So how has everyone been doing?

Wow, I haven't been on Gaia in forever. @.@
The only perks out of going to Anime Expo this year is people had volume 29 of UM and Takahata101 from DBZ Abridged was there. Nothing else amazing, no one recognized me. D:

I've never been to a convention where they had the volume of Ultimate Muscle that I needed. *pouts* You're so lucky!

(Probably, only because the character I cosplayed as was recognizable though)
Next year I hope to go as Jacqueline and maybe another character too... we shall see whee

I was really surprised when I found out I won my time slot ^_^ (Probably, only because the character I cosplayed as was recognizable though) Next year I hope to go as Jacqueline and maybe another character too... we shall see whee They had tons of them, apparently. Because, you know, people were buying up that Soul Eater or whatever s**t is popular. I cosplayed as BLACKHOLE. IN THE SUN. IN DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELOS BLAZING SUN AND NO ONE RECOGNIZED ME. But they recognized a really bad cosplay of L. :c Disappointing.

I worked by buns off to get BH's body type. I am saying this while eating greasy chow mein. D: I actually just wimped out and painted the head piece red where the hole would be. Maybe that was why. The most attention I got was some guy who thought I was some Marvel Comics character. Yeah, that's not a company filled with Mary-Sues. :C Very disappointed that day

I doubt it was your mask that caused the problem. Honestly, I think it's that UM just doesn't have the same popularity as other anime/manga right now. Which is disappointing, but something we have to live with.
