[Alice :: Ivalice :: Pharos Lighthouse Ascension]
Alice followed behind Ajora silently, her footsteps hardly made a sound on the stairs. Her look was contemplative... almost skeptical as she eyed the back of Ajora's head. He seemed far too placid, any air of self-righteousness had disappeared as suddenly as the breeze had. Perhaps he had experienced some sort of mental enlightenment.
.:Things could be worse, he could be laughing~:.
The animator narrowed her eyes at the thought. Laughing in a time like this. Could be truly horrifying, but that wasn't the case. The plush had rewound itself and returned to hovered beside Alice's head; in which she played with a stray thread absentmindedly. Was his concern genuine? Probably not. "No, merely taken by surprise is all."

[Dusk : Caribbean : Shipwreck Cove]
"I could tell you the big 'secret' I have nothing to hide," Dusk said as her eyes meet Kuja's, "I can tell you everything of what you are on our world. Though you seem to have a slight idea of it. It is several tales in one. Everyone's is."
Dusk stopped and rolled her eyes looking away from the man as she remained sitting on the rock, "And trust me Kuja. As much as your girly face annoys the crap out of me. I don't wish to fight you. I came to the Black Pearl because it was the last place I remembered before I woke up on that beach. Though it seems I missed a lot more than I thought." Dusk paused a moment before she looked at Kuja once more and continued, "How bout this? An exchange of information. I tell you of Earth. You tell me what I've missed."
Though she offered the deal, Dusk knew that if Kuja wasn't wishing to listen he was sure to end her. Behind her she had her hands ready to open a portal if she needed to make a quick retreat.

[ Kuja : Caribbean : Shipwreck Cove ]
Kuja raised a brow, but almost as soon as he did, his lips curled into a sneer.
"A deal with a Replica?" he question, laughing at the absurdity of the thought. "Not for all the applause in the world!"
His voice took a dangerous turn, and by the time he'd said applause, not only had he launched the first Firaga spell directly toward her, but several other Holy spheres quickly flew as well, transforming into Firagas themselves, one after another.

Dusk's eyes narrowed on Kuja as he laughed. As he fired the barrage of spells on her, she opened the portal she was preparing behind her. When the dust settled, Dusk was already gone.

[Nicholas :: ???? :: ????]
As Nicholas stepped through the Corridor, he immediately felt... welcome. Much like the Dark Meridian, and much like Kefka's Tower, whatever world he had been sent to was enveloped in Darkness. More strangely, however, he would have felt an odd... freedom. There was no Light for as far as he could feel in any direction. This place, whatever it was, may have never known the Light at all.
He found himself on top of a large, circular white platform, surrounded by a white railing that rose from the edge; at various spots along the rail, thin silver obelisks rose a few feet up. Lined directly in front of him, in two rows of five, facing each other, were the still-enslaved Replicas-- James, Jenny, Kyle, Noelle, Joe, Kyla, Bobbi, Alan, Sayrike, and Jacob. Directly behind him was a descending staircase that circled the edge of the platform, which he now realized was a tower; looking to either side of the staircase, he would see two large Nobody symbols about as tall as he was.
Glancing around, he would quickly realize that he was no longer anywhere near Kefka's Tower. He was on the Altar of Naught... at the top of the Castle That Never Was, overlooking the Dark City.
And looking into the sky just above the horizon, he would finally grasp just how far he'd gone from that tower.
From the Altar, he could see the World Amalgam, as if he were on some revolving satellite, hundreds of miles away, drifting through space- almost as if he were on the moon from his homeworld, staring directly toward Earth. The World That Never Was had not fused with the rest of the Worlds, having been an artificial world with no Heart.
Nicholas blinked in surprise, pulling his glasses off and wiping them with his shirt before placing them back on again. "...Holy sh*t." He continued to look around for any signs of life before shrugging and tapping his feet against the floor in a rhythmic manner, then carefully taking a seat on the ledge. All, of course, without stopping the random beat he had going.[[ Captain's Note : In the picture, ignore the 'staircase' up to the final door. Kingdom Hearts, the door to Kingdom Hearts, and the staircase are not there. Secondary image: here. ]]

{Kyle : Hawaii : Mothership}
He was really starting to like Zidane. He seemed like a pretty cool fellow, the most enjoyable to spend time with out of all the other characters so far.
"I totally agree. From what I hear, they also dig guys who can ask for directions." He whispered back, smiling, "But I do-" Kyle suddenly cut off, clenching his teeth, squeezing his eyes shut and covering his ears, trying to block out the horrible screaming. Thankfully it ended soon, but by the time it was over, and by the fact that Zidane seemed not to hear it, he guessed that it wasn't anywhere near them. Nobody was running around and trying to find the source, also a decent clue. He'd almost forgotten about the charms when the other Kyle's voice came through, letting them know the score. So it was Ajora. Lovely. He hoped whatever had Ajora screaming like that killed him.
"So, yeah. Lost. Or we could call it an adventure to distant lands instead?" Kyle said, rubbing his jaw. Clenching it like that really hurt.

[Az: Ivalice: Pharos Lighthouse Ascension]
The male replica was giving off waves of irritation and anger as he continued his 'pursuit' of Ajora. What in the hell was taking him so long to answer...oh? A question about their well-being?
"No."
The male didn't think Ajora truly cared, in the long run. Not like it mattered. Taking out a cigarette and light, the male lit up and puffed angrily on the 'cancer stick'. Really, this was getting stupidly annoying.

[Kyla: Mother ship: Mess hall> Grand Council/Bridge-Doorway]
“I’m sorry to cut our conversation short Jenny… there’s actually something I wanted to talk to you about,” Kyla said excusing herself from the musicians side. “I’ll come back here..orr..err.. I’m actually feeling a bit funky, I can use a rinse down if this place offers something like that-“ she continued as she finished off her food and picked up her book. “I just think I should record whatever it is that the Grand Council Woman has to say- just in case.”
She apologized profusely again before she headed out in pursuit of Kyle and those who followed him.
While in the room meeting, Kyla actually stopped by the doorway and leaned against the wall. Opening her book she spent the next while just recording everything that was spoken about. Since coming here Kyla was beginning to learn more and more how important it was to keep her records of information up to date. Especially if she was going to make good on her offer to the nobodies. As she jotted down the info- she again brushed passed the torn section in her book and her heart felt a pang of dread… She hastily skipped over the torn space and continued to draw and jot down everything when-
A scream entered her mind! It made her hand scribble and her ink blot and bleed over the page making her curse under her breath. She held her book tightly to herself- eyes tight shut until the scream passed, until the aftermath of hearing it passed. It sounded like Kyle- but Kyle was in front of her, wincing just like she was! Which could only mean… ~ What… what could have possibly happened? ~ Tyue’s timid voice asked over their mental link.
‘I don’t know...’ Kyla said shaking her head replying mentally of course. When Kyle finally asked for the help of the rest of the Earthlings, Kyla couldn’t help but smile. It seemed like a milestone to him. This whole time Kyla- though she’d seen him seeking people’s opinions, he always seemed to take on the whole burden himself.
It worried her ever since they parted. She wondered how he was doing now, even now she didn’t know.
‘So we’re entering a Sea battle huh?’ she mused, while she removed the ruined page and redrawn her notes on the next one.

[Kai: Lugai’s Lab]
“…what...the hell…”
On both accounts.
For whatever reason- Kai could hear Ajora’s scream thundering through her mind, echoing from one rear to the other and back again! She clamped her ears tightly with her hands but to no avail- she couldn’t’ block his scream till it passed. Leaving her visibly shaken… for a very specific reason. How- how did that happen? She couldn’t see him screaming- why was the sound coming from inside? Why was it just her?! She didn’t see anyone else having this issue.
Up to this very point, Kai still didn’t know Ajora had placed a seal on her since knocking her out back at the beasts castle. Then there was that odd sensation- a power penetrating her physical form like a miasma that soaked itself into her skin. Deeper then heat, Deeper than a stab wound, somehow a mixture of the too. It shivered itself way through ever fiber her being and left something behind. Something that left her feeling… more. Stronger inside- in what way she couldn’t be sure... but it was there.
‘…this.. could prove useful.. but what the HELL did that fool just do to us..?’ Her eyes narrowed dangerously at the floor.

{Valmar : Flying Dutchman : Deck}
With a light chuckle, Valmar stopped unbuttoning his shirt and waved a short farewell to her as she ran off. She would be a fun one to play with. Twirling the sand around himself, he sat down and put his head down, staring at the floor. He wasn't particularly tired, just bored. He wanted something to do. I'll find something...eventually.

[ Ajora : Ivalice : Pharos Lighthouse Ascension ]
Ajora nodded at their answers as they descended, returning to the tower's interior. A portal opened without so much as a movement from Ajora, and he walked directly into it, leaving it open for them to inevitably follow. It brought them back down to the level they'd originally entered from after leaving Kefka's Study, standing in front of the light geyser that would bring them into the room.
"I believe Maria should be in here and finished with those Charms by now," he mused, running a hand through his messy hair with a deep sigh. The other two had been quiet, though something was obviously simmering- why wouldn't it? He craned his neck to look over his shoulder at the other two, barely restraining a disgusted frown at the sight of the cigarette. He supposed Azrael deserved the garbage if he wanted it.
"After this, we'll be heading to meet up with Nicholas, and I'll... want to talk to you both," he said, some deeper thought hiding in his eyes. "Just because we've been Chosen doesn't mean we can't play things by our own rules."
---
To Louis, Ajora would have appeared standing upright directly in front of him, a rather dull look on his face. "I would like you to meet with me and some others tonight to discuss recent events. This will be taking place shortly. If you can manage to slip away somewhere inconspicuously, open a Corridor and I'll direct it from your subconscious. I promise compensation."

[Anthony ~.~ Mothership ~.~ Sleeping Quarters]
Dawn's comment was disheartening... Anthony stared down at his mattress as his mind began to flood with worse case scenarios. "Lemmie know if he responds," he said softly before turning to Demyx.
"I'm sorry," he said, his voice somewhat picking up again. "You're probably thinkin' we're a couple of jerks for leavin' ya out of the loop like that. Let me explain." The young man swung his feet over the mattress and sat at the edge to better converse with the Nobody.
"From the top then..." He took a deep breath, preparing himself to give another winded explanation. "Both Dawn and I heard some guy scream in our heads. We hear voices in our heads often. Sometimes it's our summons (these cool things we can, uh... well... summon when we need help, or whatever), but usually it's us talking to one another. We could do these by using the Trinity Charms. These babies allow us to telepathically speak to one another, and we could even show each other a mental image of what we see. Pretty handy stuff, don't'cha think?
Anyway... like I was saying, we heard someone scream. This someone just so happens to sound like our friend Kyle (hence why we looked so worried). So I asked Dawn for confirmation, but she was of no use 'cause she knows just as much as I do--no offense, Dawn." He paused briefly to turn to Dawn with an apologetic smile.
"I feel like I'm forgetting something," the knight said, turning back to Demyx. "Oh, right! 'Jay-Kay.' Jay-kay is an acronym for 'just kidding.' It's a shorthand we use when we're lazy and write to one another."
Anthony exhaled, feeling at peace now that he had explained everything Demyx. "I hope all that made sense. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'll be more than happy to help ya out," he said with an assuring smile.
The young man turned back to Dawn. Now that he had taken up some time explaining everything to the sitar-player, he was wondering if Dawn had received a response from Kyle yet. "So...?" he began. "Any word?" It was then when he received the mass telepathic message Kyle sent over the charms. "Oh... jay-kay. Just got it. He's fine. T'was Ajora." He turned back to Demyx and smiled once more. "Everything's better now. Back to sleep."
And with that, the knight went back to resting.

Huzzah, quick catch-up post since it's 3am.Sayrike::Grand Council Room Sayrike was a little disappointed that she couldn't help the villagers more. Also, what she really needed was some kind of monotonous activity that required little talking or thought, just to let her brain rest. Vegetate. Ooze out of her ears. Hard labor would have worked, but she guessed that no such avenue was open to her now. Ah, well. She saw Kyle and some other get up and leave the mess hall. Was he going to bed? The masked girl had no idea where anything was in here. Remembering that Kyle wanted to talk with her, Sayrike excused herself from the others' company and strode over to catch up to him. However, she got more than she bargained for as she walked into the Council Room. Feeling too tired to put in her two cents (and still smarting from the heated discussion earlier that day), Sayrike leaned back against a wall next to Louis, who was one of the only people in the room with whom she had established a rapport, and listened to the meeting. The scream of agony startled her just like everyone else, but she quickly figured out it was Ajora since Kyle was standing right in front of them. The girl really, really wanted to think about what in the world had caused such a cry, but theories were running dry as her body and mind longed to rest. Glancing to her side, she checked to see what Louis thought of all of the Trinity Charm holders suddenly jumping in unison, but he just seemed to be lost in his own thoughts. Leaning back once more, Sayrike would wait until the meeting was over, and then she'd see what Kyle wanted.

[Alice :: Ivalice :: Pharos Lighthouse Ascension]
As she played with the loose thread, Alice had half the mind to send it coiling around the cigarette and cut it in half. Smoking was so... distasteful; memories of its smoke curled around her and she narrowed her eyes. Ignoring it best she could, Alice continued to follow Ajora, keeping silent as he mentioned the charms. Her only sign of response was a raised eyebrow. Why were they making themselves more like their originals? Keeping cute little trinkets? Were they going to hold tea time too and talk about their hobbies? Disgusting. Truth be told, no one actively wants to listen to anything, they do it merely to save face and appear polite and sociable. A bunch of puppeteers in their own right. They appear interested, urge you onward then when you're not present they laugh at you. The Earthlings are a despicable lot, with their false pretenses.
.:Your words sound spiteful~:.
Not anymore than yours sound intelligent. Alice responded curtly, without missing a beat in her steps. Already, her mind was on the next set of tracks as she looked with a skeptical pair of eyes at Ajora. I never intended to play by anyone's rules aside from our own in the first place. Alice wanted to say before opting for the more pressing matter at hand. He still had questions to answer and things to explain. "Then talk, before your words begin to dance."

[ Ajora : Ivalice : Pharos Lighthouse Ascension --> Maria's Study? ]
Alice's response was cold enough for Ajora to catch on to the subtleties. He closed his eyes, massaging the bridge of his nose.
"I don't even... look, it'll have to wait until I can get my bearings on straight. My mind's a little... scrambled at the present moment," he explained, wishing he could at least chuckle at the double entendre in his wording. "I was kind of hoping neither of you would see me like this, but eh, too late for that now."
Taking his hand away from his nose, he ran it through his hair, brushing it off to the side in order to give it a more organized look. He cocked back his shoulders, rolled his head around-- obviously preparing to look a little better in front of Maria than the two he'd brought with him-- and took a step toward the light geyser that would take him into her study.
