Guess what. Pres. Obama is coming to my area today for 3 hours. He'll be visiting a community college.  Hello Santa. I've been a good boy. Well, pretty good. Most of the time. lol I want a sled for Christmas. Any chance I'll get one?

I don't know how the President's visit went. My cable went out during the time I'd be watching local morning news. It's a wonder anything outdoors is working. It's 17 flippin' degrees out there. Brrrrrr.

Well, work real hard between now and Christmas to be good and you may get your sled. ^8^
I havent heard how it went either, I havent heard any news recently since middle of last night at work on one of my breaks. sweatdrop

Too true -- temps in the 20s and teens aren't all that different -- both freezing c-c-c-cold.
I'm sure I'll be a very good boy between now and Christmas. I need a sled. Huge motivation. lol
Have you made your wish list known to Santa? Is there something you especially want for Christmas? A new game maybe?

I have, 3nodding Just mostly a book I want to get as far as what I am excited to get.
The rest are things that arnt as important for me as far as need to have things.

Books are very good Christmas gifts. After a while though it leads to bookcase building. lol Do you care to say what the book is?
By the way, you were right about my copies of your avis changing when you change. Some copies change, some don't. I haven't figured out yet what makes that happen.

3nodding I am not sure either, it maybe there are two different ways to post a picture of your avi?
I am planning either on getting it for Christmas or from Santa,
Not that I have a specific book exactly, but I would like to get a book on wilderness survivial and perhaps one on camping.

Decided if things such as our economy do eventually go bad, I will just ruff it and have to find a nice abandoned house to stay in preferably next to a source of water I can use. ^8^

It's good to be prepared for the worst and hope for the best. The Boy Scout Manual used to be good for survival tips. It's been a long time since I opened that book but I know exactly where it is on my bookshelf.
Are you prepared for the "ordinary" winter problem of power outage? Food, water, candles, batteries for your flashlight and radio? What else?

I was in Boy Scouts ages ago. ^8^ I prob. still have my old manual somewhere around here.
As far as I know I am ready for the weather that was forcasted, we right now have about 1 1/2 to 2 inches of snow and the roads are kinda a bit icy. but everything else is okay for right now. 3nodding

Lucky you, to have snow. Is it good packing and make good snowballs? Here we had rain and now it's frozen. Let's drive carefully.

A bit of an update, it has gone from around 2 inches to closer to 3 1/2 to 4 inches here.
Mostly snow but there was some freezing rain in it for a little while yesterday, today it just snowed a little all day long. But it is good snowball making snow just the right mixture of fluffy and compactable snow to make good snowballs. ^8^
I have been driving carefully but THX, Harvey ^8^
All so a NOTE: Has anyone noteced there is a little number on the left hand side over our avis pictures and user name?

That's great that your growing amount of snow is good for snowballs. YAY! But tough for driving. Yeah I noticed the 1 on all our posts. I wonder what it means. The elves at gaia are working overtime. Unfortunately booty grab has been nerfed again. There is now a 15 links per page limit of absol and awesomolocity links. If you're interested in more info, you can read what absol and awesomolocity wrote here You're not as into booty grab as I am so it probably is no big deal to you. For me it's HUGE and very unfortunate. Oh well.
