I thrive in the various influences of a group. In our group we have me as a tech junkie, a medical junkie, a fighting individual, "Hawkeye" and a merc with a penchant for big guns.
Yeah, we are an interesting group. sweatdrop

Nothing wrong with variety; most RPGs expect a party to cover a set of different roles. The party of my most active game has a sorcerer, a wizard, a samurai, a ninja, a magus (spellsword), and an oracle.

Yeah, I just played tonight again . . . and now I outdid the group. As a techie, I like to consider myself a devicer. I don't get in the fray, I let my toys and tech do it for me. I got my hands on a flying drone equipped with some heavy firepower. While my body lay dormant in the vehicle, my conciousness went into the drone and I just outdid the group. ^_^;;;
it was a blast!

Very nice! What system are you using that supports full diving (translating consciousness)?

Well, my character is very accustomed to operating drone systems with skills in fabricating, programming, and operating them. In this case, I also have a driving rig that allows me to operate vehicles remotely. The systems multitask into a combined effort to make me inhabit a miniature helicopter that is currently blowing the ever-loving-shite out of the baddies. emotion_dealwithit

I was asking about the tabletopping game system, actually. xd It sounds like GURPS, though it could be ShadowRun...
Very nice. Finding inventive ways to combine your skills is always best, especially when the game system supports it.

I am not sure what the system is . . . I know it is not GURPS, and the character sheets say Cyberpunk, so I assume that is the system. It's different from most I know I've ever played relying heavily on d10s for actions, d6s for damage, and a d12 for hit locations.

Yeah, Cyberpunk (or Cyberpunk 2020) is a system. CD Projeckt RED, developers of the Witcher series, are currently making a game set in that universe. There's only a teaser so far, but it's promising: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P99qJGrPNLs

Yes, I posted it on Facebook as the kitten version of Shang Tsung. "your soul is mine."
And then went back to gameplay and news about Killer Instinct.

I always love a super-enthusiastic announcer for fighting games, and the KI's may be the most hyped up I've ever heard!

Especially in this latest iteration. If you listen to the fights, not only is there the (c-c-c-c-c-c-c)combo breaker, but a counter even for that called the "Counter breaker." I think that is the most boisterous yell that I have heard in a game. ever.
I also watched a playthrough of something I did not expect to ever see. They released a new megaman game . . . featuring Street Fighter bosses. That was odd to say the least. eek

Ah, that's what the announcer said the second time. I had wondered why the 2nd exclamation was even more psyched up. If you've ever seen a vid for any English version of Street Fighter 4, the announcer in that, though not as enthusiastic, is very good (and is a well known acnime voice actor to boot). Oh yeah, Street Fighter X Mega Man. It's a fan/indie game that Capcom decided to officially support/promote. It was released for free @ http://static.capcom.com/sfxmm/SFxMMv2_US.zipIt's an interesting idea, but MM fan games don't tend to be particularly high quality (gameplay balance being the largest problem with all of them).
