Ward ran his fingers though Kuri's hair. "I still say you didn't. I'll have Sheridan some and pick up the board or give it to Noah. He's coming here and he will know what to do with the thing." Ward kissed Kuri gently snuggling against him. "K?"

Kuri softly murred at his mates touch happily as he lent up and kissed his mate softly. "Thank you my darling, im sorry for being like this" he said as he rested his head on his mates shoulder, thankful his mate was so understanding of the situation.

Kuri murred at his mates kiss and nodded "alright sweetheart" he said as he stayed cuddling him for a few more moments before opening the door. "I guess I can handle that" he said as he sighed softly, taking his mates hand and started making his way out to the main room once more, pleased to just to be able to relax with his mate shortly.
Skye looked up and smiled at his parents once they came out of the ballroom. "Mom" he said as he walked over and cudddled his mother "is everything alright?" He asked, hoping that nothing to serious happened.
Kuri smiled softly at his son and wraped his free arm around him "im fine sweetheart, some what of a long story that I wont bore you with now." He said as he kissed his sons temple "come, lets get to why your father and I are here in the first place" he said as he nuzzled him once more and moved away from and towards the couch.
Skye smiled at his mother "sure" he said as he walked back over to the chair he was sitting it and sat back down in it as he poured his father a hot drink and placeding it down by him. He decided to let his father add the milk and sugar he wanted "Mom the cheesecake looks great" he said noting the size and smiled "though I see that once again you make to much" he said with a soft chuckle.
"When will you learn that you dont have to feed an army or ten?" He asked playfully, picking up a slice of cheesecake with the cake slice and placing it on a plate.
He put it by his fathers drink and then started to serve his mother.
Kuri chuckled softly "you know me, always making more then I should with no reason to back that up with" he said as he nodded to his son "thank you" he said as he picked up his drink and took a sip.

Kuri had been up since before dawn, he hadnt had much sleep at all, how could he? First time in ages that he was going to finally spend some time with his family, though it wasnt just his family, he had invited Ly and Noahs family also. So he decided to make a party out of it, it was going to bea a beautiful hot day, they had the swimming pool and jacuzzi if anyone wanted to use them, he had a dragon to help set everything up around the guest house, it was going to be perfect.
Kuri looked at the clock and noticed it was nearly 6:30am, he had been up since 4 getting everything ready, he had been to the market just an hour earlier and had gotten all freash fruit and vegies and was not busy making one of several dips. "Now, lets see..." he said as he looked over the recipe for the cheesey ranch dip to see what he should be doing next "ahh thats it, I need the cream cheese" he said as he walked over to the fridge to get it, walked back and carried on making the dip.
Ly rolled over in bed, snuggling up agiesnt his mate before opening his eyes and taking a sniff "food" he said softly so he wouldnt wake his mate "Kuri's food which is even better" he said once again as he pondered about getting out of bed. He would be able to smell Kuri's food ten miles away, if not more, he always had a keen sense of smell ever since he was in that pack, it just got a hell of alot better when he tuned that sense of his into something useful like Kuris cooking.
Ly sniffed again "lets see" he said under his breath "mmm now that will be nice" he said as he thought of he smell "Kuri has been or is making something with tuna" he said sniffing again *oopps, my bad, its salmon" he said softly. Ly sniffed again "hes been cooking up some sort of meat also" he said sniffing once again "smells like steak" he said to himself once more, wanting now more then ever to go see for himself.
Ly lent over and kissed his mates cheek gently "I love you darling and im sorry" he said as he slipped out of bed, made sure the blankets were still around his mate, keeping him nice and warm and slipped on his silk robe. Ly started heading across the floor quietly "promise to be back soon my darling" he said as he stopped and looked at his mate, smiled softly and carried on, making sure to pick up his cellphone on the way.

Ward had watched his mate till he felt exhuasted before dropping off into bed to sleep. He couldnt' cook and the stove tended to react badly if he touched it. So instead he dropped in the closest big chair near by the kitchen..just in cased his lover needed anything and napped.
Noah shifted slightly giving a cranky mumbling sound, ear twitching as the soft words. He sighed soflty, and then sparwled out as Ly left taking up as most of the warm bed as he could.

Kuri finally finished the dip, pushed it ober to the side and thencarried on making another, he took a quick look over at his mate and smiled softly "what am I going to do with you?" He said softly as he left the kitchen, ran over to the hotwater cupboard where he was airing out a blanket that hadnt quite dried yet and fel it. "Alright, this is more then dry enough" he said as he folded it once an then placed it over his mate, it wasnt a large blanket but it was large enough to cover all of him and still have some left over if he needed or wanted it.
"You should be in bed sweetheart" he said softly, making sure he was all tucked in, nice and warm as he slept, not wanting his mate to get cold, granted this was a cat that came from the snowy mountains and so he was used to cold but still. Kuri kissed his mates forehead and walked back to the kitchen to carry on making the food for the party, knowing he had to get the meat dishes on soon, thankfully he prepared and cooked yesterday.
The left over stuff that had to cook were just the susage rolls, a few different flavored quiches, grill a littlemore salmon for the grilled salmon salad and do a few more things and it pretty much will be done. Though, as a treat, Kuri decided to make a seprate dish for his mate, Kuri had started to prepare several salmon steaks for him, while he knew he had to make breakfast for Muaki, Ly and Noah also, he decided to make something special for his mate.
Now, granted, one doesnt usually have this sort of thing for breakfast but he was positive his mate wouldnt say no to fresh marinated salmon stakes and besides, he eserved them. For Kuri felt like it had been forever ince he last treated his mate, why couldnt he make something nice for his mate for breakfast today? Granted, in roughly six hours everyone will be arriving but still, his mate came first right now.
Kuri finished the third dip and turned on the oven, he then went to the fridge and pulled out the salmon that he had marinated for the past six or so hours and placed it on the bench. He pulled out a tray and then pulled out some aluminium foil and placed five reasonably large marinated salmon stakes onto it, tipped over a little more lemon juice and then wraped it up gently and placed it onto the tray and into the oven to cook.
Kuri then turned around and got some plastic wrap over the dips and then placed them to the side, he then went to the freezer and got out a few bowls of fudge, coconut ice, russian fudge and other sweets and placed them all on the bench. Kuri carried on back and forth as he pulled out several different slices and cakes he has made and sliced into peices yesterday and started to arange them all onto plates and in decrotive bowls.
Ly grabed his cellphone and slipped out of the room quietly and made his way downstairs, the smell of the food getting stronger and stronger, he was near drooling at the delicious smells, he couldnt wait till later today, this would be perfect. Ly hurried downstairs and walked over to th dining room "Kuri" he asked before noticing ward by th kitchen door asleep "oopps, sorry" he said in a whisper "can I help with anything?" He asked as he took a brain muffin he knew Kuri made for this monings breakfast.
"Yes, can you please ring Nyoko? I could do with some help, I think his mate is back at the asylum for check ups or something so he is alone with his brothers and Jaden right now so he will be able to come help me and not need to bother about keeping his mate company. "I could do with an extra pair of hands and you, besides eating the food, arnt helping any" he said smiling at the wolf.
Ly nodded "sure" he said as he pocketed his cell, picked up the cordless on the way out and went and stood by the fire Kuri must have lit when he got up and dialed Nyokos cell number. After a few minutes he picked up, he spoke to Nyoko for a few minutes before hanging up and going back out to the kitchen "ok, hes been rung and he said he would come now" he said as he took another bite of his muffin.
"thank you" he said as he carried on putting everything into or onto its proper place and putting it over on the other bench "now, instead of eating the breafast muffins, care to go make yourself decent? If you are going to be up now, you might as well go get out of your pajams" he said smiling at the wolf.
"Alright, im going, I will go back to bed till Noah wakes up then I will see if he wants to have a shower with me, saves time then" he said winking at Kuri and leaving to go back up to his room, taking another muffin with him for his mate.
Kuri smiled softly and rolled his eyes, carrying on with what he was doing, wondering if that wolf will ever learn what is catorgrized as to much info.

The smell of cooking fish made Ward mm and shifted under the blanket, opening one golden eye before streching lazily. "Fish..for breakfast?" He muttered slidding out of his nest and walking to his mate to wrap his arms around the small waist. "And food....lots of lots of food," he purred slightly eyeing the fudge. Mmmmm fudge.

Kuri snuggled back agiesnt his mate and kissed his cheek "good morning my darling, im sorry if I woke you" he said as he placed his hands upon his mates "and yes, you have fish for breakfast, marniated salmon stakes, you deserve something special. I also have made you something else, something that I have decided to keep just for you" he said as he reached over to one of the nearest bowls, pulling out a chocolate mint fudge bite sized peice and offering it to his mate.
He was going to put them into cellophane bag, tie it up in a couple of ribbons, have, put them up just look totally gift and store brought with a couple of dozen red roses. Though, he could still do that, wouldnt matter would it? Just place them in their room for later or even for earlier this morning before they went out for the party.
But, right now, he thought his mate wouldnt mind a taste now "I think you may remember these, these will be going into our room for later. I thought that I will make whatever else for the party but for you, this certain fudge is for you and you alone."
He said happily, closing his eyes and just taking in the sweet smell of his mate and the food around them, oh how he missed these momentss, it may have just been a few days without much cuddling time with his mate but to Kuri it seemed like an eternity. "Our son will be here soon also by the way, Nyoko is comming to help me" he said as he picked up a peice of chocolate mint fudge and popped it into his mouth.
Ly made it back upstairs and slipped into his and his mates room and shut the door behind him, he put the muffins down on the table by the door and took his robe off, placing it over the banister of the small platform and then picked up the muffins. Ly walked over to his mate, carefully crossing the floor so he didnt make any noise to wake his mate and placed the muffins on the bed side table and climb back into bed gently.
"Im back my darling" he said softly, leaning over and lacing a kiss upon his head before sitting back agiesnt the head board and picked up his muffin and nibbled on it while he just sat there watching his mate.

Ward licked the chocolate mint fudge, swallowing it and with a chuckled smiled at his mate, rested on him. "Anymore of our sons coming over or just Nyoko?" He asked relaxing, half a sleep.
Noah streched looking up at Ly before muttering and pulling the pillow over his head. He snuggled in the covers wiggling his toes.

"Just Nyoko at the moment, hes helping me cook, somehow, something tells me our other three sons wouldnt know how to cook anything but the basics, maybe a little more advanced. But I have been wrong in the past, I just wanted this to get done by the time half tweleve comes around, I just dont think our other sons would be any help right now especially if Nyoko still does most of the cooking at home."
He said to his mate, hoping he understood, he wasnt belittling their other sons cooking talent if they could cook, just that he wasnt exactly sure if they could and Nyoko had been cooking since he was about six years old. This was just a little different thats all "our other sons will be comming" he said claring his head "just probably around the time we said, if not earlier, I wonder if Jaden can come."
Kuri said trailing off, knowing he was a vampire though admitedly, he till didnt know exactly a lot about his sons mate, he really should ask Akashi for a book on his type of vampire, might be easier that way to learn.
Ly looked at his mate, curious as to what he was doing but then put the muffin down and snuggled under the covers also and snuggled agaiesnt his mate "thats a nice way to great your mate in the morning." He said playfully "I have a muffin here to if you want it, made by the resident cook" he said to the wolf as he just closed his eyes, thinking that maybe going back to sleep wouldnt be TOO bad, if only for another hour.

"I think Jaden would find a way...At least I wouldn't be surprise, he doesn't like being apart of Skye." Ward nuzzled his lover before stepping back. "I'll leave you to cook."
Noah snorted, before running his hand though the others hair. "Mmmmm...not now..sleeping." He muttered from behind the pillow.

"I am sure he will to, I think Skye mentioned once he ddnt like being far from the vampire either, makes me wonder though how much blood that vampire has taken off our son." He said worriedly to his mate "I know they would be careful, they have Akashi and Aariel on hand if the need help, more so Akashi, but still, I cant help but worry" he said as he lent up and kissed his mate tenderly.
"Besides that" he said clearing his head of that thought and pouted a little "do you have to leave me cook? I just wanna stay with you, in your arms, I can always let Nyoko do the rest." The rabbit said to his mate, holding his hands in his own, Kuri was half serious/half joking, he wanted to stay with his mate and just cuddle and yet he knew he should cook more also, especially since his mates breakfast will be ready in about ten minutes or so.
Ly murred happily at his mates touch and kissed his hand before just snuggling back agiesnt him "alright sweetheart, we can sleep for a bit longer, Kuri will probably come and get us for breakfast anyway later on." The wolf said as he snuggled down under the covers a bit more before closing his eyes to go back to sleep.

Ward nuzzled Kuri before pushing his hair back. "I was going to talk to Raffh...well try to. He finally had his twins, such an adorable little pair of things." The cat signed resting on his mate, still upset his brother was refusing to talk to him. At least Raffh had sent pictures of his children and seemed well.
"No baby, I have to go or I'll burn something you are cooking." He nipped the ear. "We can do something better then just cuddled latter tonight."
"Good." He groubled, resting against the other.

Kuri smiled at his mate "thats good, at least he still ackwledges your exsistence at least" he said as he nuzzled his mate "I will have to look at those photos later, be good to see what my nephews look like." He said to his mate as he sighed "dont worry my darling, I am positive he will come around, just give him a bit more time, he will probably call up to have you babysit soon."
He said to his mate, trying to be optmistic for his sake and then looked at his mate and giggled a little after the n** to his ear "alright, fine, I will let you go and deffinatly will look foward to later on tonight." Kuri said as he let go of his mates hands seconds befoe he looked at the time and heard a knock at the door "please, be a dear and go get that? It will probably be our son" he said smiling at the his favorite kitty.
Ly kept close to his mate as he snuggled down, finally drifting iff to sleep.
