Roman, Romans everywhere. They're in my food and in my hair. They wont leave us without a care!
Damn them and their home-grown soil, Powered by our great land's toil! Cast them out, arms made of foil.
Death to the Emperor. For he dared not venture any more Our young men's deaths weigh a heavy toll.
So death I say, Death to the Empire. Raise our ranks and slay them All. For we are men Free, men.

Gahhh! Memories of grade nine English abound! -stabs copy of Julius Caesar- Though I much prefer Shakespeare to ANimal Farm, anyday... -shudders- Not fun!
I wish we would write more short stories and such in English, or at least read some good books! Animal Farm, was, like... Gahh. -dies-

Oh, yeah. ;__; Oh well, guess I'll just have to bake another one! :3 *bakes a batch of cookie tonfas*
I like Shakespeare when I can discuss it with someone else, it's mostly too heavy to try on my own.
Never read Animal Farm, but I liked 1984.

Shakespeare's main audience was not the elite that could afford to go to the plays, but the common men who watched it anyway. He tried to appeal to both audiences, but delved a little more towards that of the poorer folk. Mainly, without lavish sundries able to be purchased left and right there were a few things that were musts to attract the audience. Things the noblemen didn't have to desire for it was at their every whim.
Common men wanted what they couldn't always have: lust and vented anger. What else to entertain them then noble love with a vengeance. Fated lovers with warring families, incestuous fantasies arising from characters, and those in love trying to wash the blood off their hands, yet ending in their own demise.
[/pretending_"to_know_what_he's_talking_about"]
Regardless, what kind of drunkard doesn't like a buffoonish male in a woman's outfit? That's slapstick comedy right thar! x3
