Ike's face quirked into a smile as he listened to Aleric. Seems like they were going to be having fun on this one. Maybe they should name him something to do with the military? Turning to the commander, Ike wold bow respectfully. "Understood Ma'am. What god awful mission will you be forcing me to go on today?..Please tell me it won't be the cat one. Dear god, don't let it be the cat one."

((OoC: Don't worry too much I’m being slammed as well. I check all the time though, as long as people post.))
Aleric wondered what the boy called Ike was talking about. Cats? He hoped this wasn't like the time his ex-commander's daughter lost her cat. He spent three days in the forest looking for it, only to discover that it had been found an hour after he left. With any luck, this group would be a little more... professional. Yet Aleric had a bad feeling in the back of his mind that things would go from bad to worse really quickly...

((I'm just waiting for when I can enter the building really. I tend to stay on most of the day since it's Finals week and I've done the two finals that matter already.))

((WWEEEEE. We started up again. ^-^ )) Scanning through the forest, unrelentingly, the teen's crimson irisis flared everytime he finished a scan and found there was no prey. It wasn't irritation that made him edgy, it was the desire for blood. The teen's body was still awashed in the strange glowing aura, yet now it was a simple grayish color. The aura clung tightly to his skin, for now. "Yes, sir." Yue responded. The words simply came out of him, without any thought process, for some reason; it felt natural. Changing course, the teen jumped through the trees, swift as a hawk and as graceful as a monkey. Normally, he would've been many yards in front of his commander, surveying the area, assessing the situation, engaging any enemies that tried to assasinate his leader, but with his injuries, the main focus was healing. The vampire didn't speak, he didn't even turn around to check on Ace or Rusty. His mind was dwadling between two subjects. The first, obviously, being to restrict the growing lust for blood. The second was a little more abstract. It was a picture of some ruined building, completely demolished by some force. It looked like ruins a few years old, that were never cleaned up. 'What were they? Why were they in his mind? And why did he feel like he was missing something?' Only the most recent events could he remember, but behind two years he could no longer clearly make out anything, it was all a haze. 'Why is there a growing hole in my memories?' Yue wanted answers. "Sir, how long until we reach our destination?" He asked, this time there was a thought process involved, however, the 'sir' added itself in.

The Commander's lips twitched into a light smile as she shifted through her stacks of papers. Finding the sheaf she needed, she would pause to take another sip of her tea before continuing withthe earlier conversation.
"Relax Arc. The Cat is already taken care of for today by Scratch....Your mission is actually rather difficult...but I need you there because it has to do with your kind. A fallen Angel has escaped from the Capital City's High Halo Prison for the Mentally Disturbed. Your task is to seek him out in the city, captre and bring back eithe raive or maimed. Killing is only allowed if your life is in danger. Since you know the city so well form your past Arc. this would be perfect for oyu. Take Aleric, him, and our stake-out friend with you. All the supplies you need is already gathered next to the portal. You are in charge of giving these three rookies codenames before leaving. That will be all, you may go now...Oh And Arc....Be careful. This one is a deadly fellow."
The Commander would say this all out in a casual manner, her accent warping a few words. At the mention of names, she would point to each person, Aleric, Rayner, (Who had just slipped in to the room) and then to the outside where one was waiting in the shadows.

Balthezar got up slowly. A grimace flashed over his face when he put weight on his leg, to which he mumbled "This is what I get for sitting. Don't know what's taking the pretties so long, guess I'll go inside." under his breath. He used his sniper as an impromptu cane and walked to a window on the other side of the building. He opened it a sliver and slipped inside. He made a small amount of racket, but made sure he landed on his right foot. He mumbled "Good, now that we're inside let us see where we can go." under his breath. He peeked out of a door and spotted a hallway that contained apparently one person. "I think I'll stay here for now until I hear my name mentioned." he mused as he leaned against the wall.
((Hope it's okay that I changed my posting style a little bit. I like this format more. And I hope it's okay if I sneaked into the library/unknown room. Didn't like the front entrance after all. Updated the alignment.))

He stepped forward now, moving to the center of the office and standing straight in front of the woman behind the desk. He had already sized up the others. They weren't a threat to him. This one though, she reeked of magic. She must be the one...
"The name's Rayner," he said, reaching down to pick up her hand. He kissed it once, imitating the actions he'd seen a man in the city perform. It appeared to be a sign of respect here. This one had power. He could respect that.
"Now, I'm going to ask this nicely, once, and then I'm not going to try so hard. I was being chased by a merc two weeks ago. Then I woke up to find myself in the city...Demannu. Now, who the hell brought me here?"

((GunHaven, it is not my job to tell people how to format their posts but having the alignment set to left makes it harder to read. The way the text wraps is unnatural. Centering the text or having it right is best.
Personally, I prefer centering.
I am going to wait a day for PartingGift.))

Aleric looked around as the new comers through the corners of his eyes, as they seemed to come out of nowhere. This man in front of the commander seemed to have no manners. Only a barbarian would address his superior with such disrespect. Well Aleric could overlook that, since he was going to be working with this man. All the while this was happening, Aleric stood stock-still as people moved about. He hadn't been given the order to move or speak, so he stood at attention until someone gave him an order.

((You brought up a good point Armads. So I'd like to clear this up. Rayner is supposed to be a jackass. I am not. He is. I'm not. Even though technically we are the same person, we are totally unrelated. I am he and he is me, but we are not each other. I hope I have sufficiently confused the issue.
Also, last time I did a post like the one before this (in a different RP) people got angry with me. They said that I was trying to focus the story around myself. I am not. I only do this kind of thing because the way others react lets me know what kind of character they are writing: strong-willed, easy-going, guilty, etc. For example, your character Aleric did not make any action against Rayner. So, I can assume that you are either unaffected by what happened, or just too well trained to show your emotions. Not trying to teach a lesson here, just trying not to look like a "self centered a$$hole", as people have thought I am.))

((Relax i know that. People are not their characters. Either way, by being this kind of character, you force character interaction and character development. It's always healthy to have someone like that in the RP.))

((Okay, here is how this goes. Do not get pissed off at someone in character for something out character and don't get pissed of someone out of character for something they did in character. When people are forced to work together tempers may flare. Especially when they are tough guys wielding automatic weapons and magic with enough testosterone to keep an entire baseball team running for three seasons...)

((Are we supposed to continue after this? I wasn't sure if we are to keep RPing or if we are having a discussion.... Either one is fine. I get done all my finals next week. What is everyone else’s schedule like? Also sorry to be breaking from the RP I just want to keep this thing moving and I wasn't sure who is supposed to post next.))
