Third and final concert today. The bands were all set up, but a p.e lesson came into the hall after we had had it booked so we could not get the rehearsing done which we so badly needed to ensure smooth changeover between acts. The students took forever getting sat down and would not listen to instructions of where to sit. Matthew and Ian had to actuallly clear an isle down the middle by moving students. The doors were not closed in time because the staff on the doors kept letting people in when we had asked for the concert to be closed.
Because of this we were running behind and the lesson bell rang seconds before tha last band were about to start. Two of the guys had come in from out of school, so they began to play anyway, hoping to play as kids filled out of the hall. Members of staff were shouting at us for playing anyway, and one member took the plectrums of the guys so they couldnt play. The kids were cheering as they were being played out, but began booing as staff forcibly removed the band from the stage.
The organisation was appaling, i was asked on friday to organise three concerts, for which i was promised rehearsal time. The hall was not available for rehearsal time on any of the days it had been promised. No help was recieved, the staff involved turned up when the show started. From being organised by myself, Jo, Andrew and Jenna, the idea magically turned into "students councils idea" Leon came to help with the rigs and was very sweet and helpful.
I do not intend to do somthing like this again for whatever cause as this was a charity event i had been asked to organise and it was then cut short for the sake of 3 mins of friday afternoon lesson which would have been missed otherwise. The bassist from the affected band is now refusing to do anything of this kind for the school again. Ever and i must say i dont blame him. If this appalling mess gets blamed on the organisers of the concert. (myself and co.) i shall officially resign from the student council in protest as have a fury beyond words at what was done for the sake of a few minutes.

I'd of come down from college to see Richard <333 *insert much love here.* But my lesson started at 1.15 and my tutor was a b***h.. I was ready to peg it down with Alex. ;-;.
At least I have pictures.
And as for resigning, dont! You got the event organised, its the teachers who have the problem, not you! You cant help it if they all are bastards.
