Reaver did what most wouldn't even consider.
He caught the blade with the palm of his hand, the point going through the hand, but his cleaver was now going for a decapitating motion for her head.

Given no choice, Gianna had to let go of the blade and jump back again to narrowly avoid the cleaver, getting a small cut on her throat.
