As the temporal systems drag the canteen forward in time yet again as the transfer point nears, she groans and clatters before jerking to and fro. Klaxons and sirens begin their warning actions as parts of the system protest from the strain and send errant energies through the small establishment. Fifty billion watts of power arc through the microwave in the kitchen, causing the pizza rolls within to spontaneously heat to 20,000 times the temperature of a modest star and fuse into a super-dense ball of gas. "Get that thing out of here!" Exxos screams as he tries to keep the canteen from flying apart at the seams. Camwen races to the microwave, jerks it out from the wall, and heaves it like a rather abhorrent shot put out of the temporal rift. The microwave with fusing pizza rolls cascades through the mists and falls with a sullen clang within the courtyard of a resplendent castle with romanticized architecture. Its door springs open and unleashes the fusing maelstrom onto the castle. In a blink of searing energy, the castle implodes into a diminutive anomaly and disappears from view - perhaps from time or space itself. Camwen pants as she looks out of the rift over the slowing hillsides of northern Europe, "Please tell me that is not what I think it was." "I won't tell you that you just imploded Camelot into another dimension, no," Exxos replies and adds, "You did, but I won't tell you that." Camwen glares at Exxos.
Welcome to the time of the Old Kingdoms! Looking at how we've personally seen to the fall of Camelot, I would say that that means we're starting into the post-Arthurian middle ages in about 15 minutes. biggrin

I don't believe that that was Camelot, But rather the remains of the first real emperior of Europes castle-Chalamagne. Tsk, tsk, tsk, Well lets echo in the "Dark Ages". I hope that everyone has had their shots updated or has had the measels and chicken pox. Way to go ya"ll. blaugh Back off away from me anyone who hasn't had the pox or the measels.(pulls out a large pepper grinder.) Stay back, I warn you. I will pepper who ever gets that mess near me. rofl

Crappit, yes, I am 21 years off, he defeats the saxons in 510 and Camelot falls in 531, just before Camlann. Though Charlie is still 232 years from even being born.

"Okay... I almost have it... Just a few more stops in time to go!" Exxos announces as he smokes and twitches while coming up from engineering bay 3. The Canteen shudders only slightly as a dull, warbling sound echos through the interior and a faint, blue glow shimmers across her myriad surfaces. "See? Even got the transitional reactions stabilized, I am awesome!" Exxos grins –- a sickening and repugnant mockery of a Human facial expression. As the rift clears and shows the Canteen's latest point in time, the telltale terrain of Anatolia comes into view. The crossroads of East and West, the convergence of the Caliphates and Byzantine Empire. Welcome to the High Middle Ages.
(And yes, my avatar is themed, I went with the Khanate trader look.)

oof! It's good I keep the costume closet at the Canteen well stocked. It's a bit messy at the moment though... I managed to pick up a few nice deals on the markets during this jaunt through time. rofl My purchases won't cause trouble with the space time continuum will they? wink

Though I probably should have raided the library back in Alexandria... sweatdrop

Yes why not do some raids. After all it is the time frame of the great holy war and the knights of the templar where the city of the jews was a port that was used by the knights for trading as well as raiding the nearby areas and sending all the prized booty back to the service of the cause. smile
