Dammit, Gaia.

I hate this update.

God, SF is on fire. It's amusing.

But this update is truly ugly. It's one of the few updates lately that actually get a reaction out of me.

I never really wanted them to update guilds to match the forums, but now I really don't. Of course, I think now is when they decide to work on that...

It's so weird and off-center. I wouldn't mind the new topic headers if they had only left the speech bubbles stretched. I hate empty space. I'm trying to find Gaia Labs to see if centering the whole site makes it look better, but I can't remember how to find the link. The last time I tried centering the site it was still really glitchy and bad, though, so I guess this is just more reason not to go into the main forums much.

Edit: Oh, there it is. What is with the stupid background? If they're going to leave so much blank space, it should at least be TRULY blank. The art of Barton Town just makes it even more obvious and awkward. *deactivates*

Edit 2: Oh good. Pan says they're adding a variable-width option to Gaia Labs.

Edit 3: And a Greasemonkey script until Gaia fixes their own ********.

I've been using the "center align" feature in Gaia Labs almost since it was introduced, and that doesn't seem to have changed in the last couple of days.

Also, variable width websites are AWESOME; because not everyone surfs at the same resolution.

I thought my nerves would be the death of me, but this new UI is like sifting through a huge pile of... adfbnadba I don't even know.

They let me offa work early because of some corporate screw-up. Great, less hours, less money. ********.

And the forums were variable width, before Gaia decided to "fix" it. Because the rest of the site is fixed width. Since WHEN has Gaia ever cared about consistency in their layout? If you want to make it all matchy-matchy, then make the landing pages variable width, too, not the other way around!

I'd use the centered site if it weren't for the stupid Barton Town background. The whole point of centering the site is to minimize blank space. Why do I want a background that only serves to emphasize it? The grey sidebar is much more subtle.

For some reason, the centered site just looks really wrong to me. I think it's because there's a background, and then big chunks of white where the forums are. I dunno.

I just don't like it. D:<

It's far from perfect, but I prefer it over the original lay-out.

Just for the record, I would never ask you for money when I compliment your avi, Pyre.

Aughgh Chargers. It sucks that you're not selling out tickets, but do you really have to keep me from watching the game on TV? :/ I was looking forward to keeping up with the games this year since I couldn't on campus...

Haha, thanks. I'm pretty sure the only reason he complimented me was to "butter me up" so to speak. I'm not that dumb, really.

And dude, I just got replies to reports I filed a month ago to the day. And they were reports on obnoxiously large, seizure-inducing signatures, so the user could have very well changed them himself by now. o.O

The problem with starting projects like organizing my closet or fixing my curtains is that I always get bored halfway through and want to do something else...and I'm not even halfway through with one curtain. Damn it.

...aaaand I really hope I put that needle back in the pincushion and not in my comforter, because now I can't remember and I really don't want to find it in my sleep. D:

I reported a signature that had one of those "optical illusion" type images, that wobble or whatever when you look at it ... the mod told me that they weren't against the rules.

I could have sworn it was, especially if it was an image that would make people get headaches and stuff. Bleh. No biggie though. I just won't report that type of image anymore. Just if it's over the size. :<

Man, most mods don't know s**t about the rules they're supposed to enforce.

Rules and Guidelines
Harmful Images: Certain types of graphic images may contribute to or otherwise cause viewers to experience an adverse physical reaction, such as migraine headaches or seizures, and are not permitted. Should your post or signature contain such an image, it may be removed.

Took me five seconds to find that in the R&G. confused

Aww, I wish I had thought of looking in the R&G. xD I can't believe I didn't think about that. But yeah, I had thought that there was some stipulation somewhere along those lines; I remember almost enforcing it myself.
