I would sit down and try to draw something myself, but all that ends up happening is that I get very angry with myself. And then everything goes straight down from there.

That happends... but if you give up and let the angryness take over you'll go nowhere.
Take a deep breath or a small break and then sit down and try to draw again. and if still nothing well wait until the next day and try again.
Draw a bit everyday, copy real life or images found online for learning purposes... that's how people learn to draw.

My old Art Teacher use to tell me that EVERY time I felt fed up, or frusterated, or pissed off at one of my drawings... it was because I was actually learning something
if you get feeling fed up like that, it means your mind is working. In a way, its sorta like a puzzle...
And don't worry, a drawing isn't a permanent thing. It can always be changed or altered... it can be erassed or redrawn... just free yourself and go CRAZY!
That art teacher also use to tell me that... well... drawing is kinda like weeding a garden. Everyone's fulla good drawings and bad ones... but to get to the good drawings, you gotta dig through the bad ones first.
Drawing is a permanent work in progress biggrin

The one thing I picked up from art attack:
It takes 1000 drawings to make 1 good one.

I prefer to go on writing escapades more so then drawing ones. Less stressful, I'm only 13 I don't need that much stress just yet.

And here's stacy's phoenix she's been doing for three months. Light's really catching on the irridescent gold... And a slightly darker badly stitched version (friend took it up close in two pieces)
