Reeve shakes his head absently, trying to think. "Hmm...ramen's pretty much a standard stand-alone meal around here... only thing I can think of is a sammich. Or maybe boxties."

Reeve smiles brightly. "They go well with soup- kind of a treat from my homeland, Eirren. That said, if you don't like potatos, let me know beforehand."

-=Neko fills up his mug and nods to reeve and Eli, before stepping out onto the porch, sipping at his tea as he scanned the forestline, waiting=-

"So long as it isn't just potatoes, I'm good with it," she said, smiling a bit more.

Reeve grins, putting on his thickest Eirren accent. "An' whit, prit'ee, be amiss wit 'jest taters'?" He begins setting out the 'taters' in question, flour, bread crumbs, butter, and cheese, as well as all the other acoutrements needed for the manufacture of a boxtie.

"Haha. I said 'what's wrong with "just potatos?"' He begins to cook in a nondescript fashion, because although the person who pulls Reeve's strings and decides his actions and beliefs DOES love boxties, he has no idea how to cook them.

Reeve points to the cheese on the table as he cooks. "Sour cream is generally served with 'em, or salsa if you like a stronger kick."

There was another chakra burst just beyond the tree line, specifically meant to get only Neko's attention.

"Both those options sound good to me."
Her noodles had finished cooking by now, but she left them on the stove with the heat turned down so they'd stay warm til Reeve's food was finished.

-=Neko nearly spat out his tea. She was acting quickly. He took another few sips, before sending out a few strands of his chakra, trying to make contact again, but using much less chakra this time=-

Reeve continues cooking, whistling the same low, sad tune, very blues-ish. He finishes cooking, a small pile of boxties on a plate. The end result was cheese and mashed potatos, covered in bread-crumbs and flash-fried to a crunchy, fluffy, tatery goodness. He goes to the fridge and procures sour cream and salsa. "There we go. Try one? Careful, hot, they are."

"Well they look delicious." She turned the heat off on the noodles, served herself some noodles and boxties and sat down at the table, scooping up a little of the cream cheese and salsa to try them both.
"Where'd you learn to make these then?"
