"Hahah! we don't keep them there, they show up there. The Library is the largest library in the history of all the world's here, actually, some say the library is bigger than most of the world's out there. We don't know of it's origin, and we don't know when it came to existence, all we know is that it's hella dangerous and full everything imaginable. If you're curious, you should ask someone who used to work there, such as the Commander." Ike smiled lightly at the man before stepping in front of the Commander's door. "You don't need an appointment, The Commander's always in and readily available." He set the pot down by the door with a huff. "Well, Do you want so the Commander now..or...?"

"It would be my pleasure to meet the commander, provided I’m not intruding on any important matters. The name is Aleric by the way. I guess we'll be working together, provided the commander is willing to accept me into your ranks." Aleric looked at the boy through his helmet and then back at the door. He hoped he would be accepted, since at this point his only other option was to become a bandit. Aleric hoped he'd never have to stoop so low as that.

"Ike Reikinako. From the Guardian's land...heh, hence the wings. Pleasure to meet you." He smiled, pointing back at his wings as the flapped slightly. "Okay, Let's get this over with then." Turning to the door, Ike cleared his throat some before rapping his knuckles against it three times, waiting for a reply.

Aleric wondered where this so called "Guardian's Land" was. Did the boy mean to say "Servant's Land" since he seemed to be one. Aleric looked at the door again wondering what kind of man this commander was. Surely he was a man of great prestige to lead a group such as this. He must also possess great strength, since it didn't seem like anyone had tried to usurp him recently.

The Commander raised her head from the mass of paperwork at the knock. She stared at the door for a long moment as if she were trying to wish the intrusion away or decipher what the knock was for. And then, she reached for her cup of hot Early Grey Tea and sipped it lightly. Setting her pen down upon the half-signed document, she would lean back in her chair and call out to the visitors.
"It's open, You may enter."

Leaving the pot in the hall, Ike would let the door slowly creak open. He stepped in to the cozy little office, with books and other strange trinkets lining the interior walls. Tucked into the right side would be a warm fire place that offered an eerie glow throughout the dim lighted room. Comfortable looking fireplaces an a personal Tea set would accompany the fireplace. And there, directly before them and straight across from the doors sitting at the desk would be the Commander in all her young 28-year old female glory. Ike smiled at her. "Afternoon Commander Rindell. I have a new recruit requesting a job here."

Aleric entered behind Ike slowly, his ebony armor glimmering slightly in the firelight. He removed his helmet and gazed upon the young commander. Aleric's stony expression showed nothing as he gazed upon her. She was beautiful to be sure, but it was actions that would determine what he thought of her. He just hoped that her looks weren't the only reason she had been promoted to commander.

"Hm?
The Commander glanced her eyes over the new rookie for a passing moment and then acknowledgment sparked in her yellow orbs. she went back to her sheaf of paperwork, sorting through it once more, before returning her gaze to the two men.
"Ah, yes. You would be Aleric I assume? Right then. Quite the track record you've got here, and that look in your eye is unmistakable. Fits you very well might I add. You will be accepted into our ranks here at Mishaps."
She mused in her slight British accent, resting her chin upon her knuckles. She didn't bother to say how she knew who he was, nor what the look in his eyes were, she simply took another sip of her tea. And then, she cast her severe authoritative stare to Ike.
"Lieutenant Arc. I see that you are back and in one piece. Good. New missions are piling up and we have stretched our members to the limit. So you, shall be heading a mission with Aleric and the other new rookie should he so choose to report in. Do I make myself clear?"

Rayner stood outside of the imposing building ahead of him. So this was the Merc HQ? The building could have been anything: office, hospital, jail. A bit large for the first two, but most people would be fooled. Good. These people knew what they were doing.
Rayner took a deep breath, tilting his head slightly to take in more of the scent. The place smelt foreign, and Rayner knew what that meant.
Magic.
Ever since being pulled into this world the smell had been laying in the back of his head, a shadow of a smell. But for the first time the scent hit him like a wall. Rayner's instinct's were on alert. This was an unknown, and the unknown was dangerous. So, not wanting to keep his host(s) waiting, Rayner pushed the doors open and stepped into the hall.
His hands were at the holsters for his blades.

Rayner saw two figures walk into a door further down the hall, began walking faster. Rayner headed straight to the office and slipped inside.

Balthezar spies at the building from his camping spot, which he feels is nicely done. As someone new enters, he giggles and mumbles "Well, Well. Looks like another pretty is entering the building. Shall we see what is happening?". He gets up with a groan and creaking knees, limping over to the building and leaning against the wall when he reaches it. He sits down and waits to see what he can hear.

Aleric looked her over with respect. He bowed deeply, never taking his eyes off her. When he straightened, he put his helmet back on and stated in military style, "Sir, yes sir! I will not let you down in this mission sir!" Aleric remained at attention as he awaited the lieutenants’ orders.

((Behold! I am back with a post. It is a very shiny post. It shall restore life to this thread!))
Sokato turned back and took a good look at the two. He now had to make a judgment call. He had to decide whether to return to HQ without finishing the mission or continue it risking the lives of his squad members. Ace has never had to make a decision like this in the past, having breezed through all other missions in the past.
Rusty was currently injured and suffering from memory loss. Rusty was already incapable of fighting large dragons and pushing him further would prove dangerous. Yue was starting to go blood thirsty, most literally. Yue might also be feeling fatigued. The right option was blatantly obvious so right then and there Ace made the call... "Okay guys, I am calling this one short. We are going back to HQ. I will probably come back here soon though although for you two, I recommend you take some time off to recover."
Sokato turned and started off in a different direction other than the town and motioned for the other two to follow. "We are going back to that clearing. I will call the portal so we can leave."
