Here's a thought. What if we made a thread that lumps all Tolkien questions in one place? Instead of posting a new topic for a new question, if someone is comfused about something, we can take it there.

Instead of posting a new topic for a new question, if someone is confused about something, we can take it there. There's a good idea. Because I agree, it seems useless to create a new thread for something that will only just take a post or two to talk about. Of course, that doesn't solve the heinous off-topicness that permeates this guild like some kind of viral plague. Sarcasm? Not sarcasm? You decide. XP

Maybe we should issue out Off-Topic detectors, like we did with sarcasm detectors, and whenever someone strays too far off without a purpose, the detector can go off...
