Nanu smiled and hugged him back "yes I am.Mahado says im fine.I think he might be in shock...."
"well there is no going back now" ayira said.
Rei wasent doing so well eather. She still took care of bakura and kek but there was always sadness in her eyes. She dident bother caring for herself eather.

"Heh, he never was a positive thinker." Atem said, kissing Nanu. "Seto came by and took Ayira. I apologized, but... he wouldn't stay." "I can't believe that I had ever spoken badly of the thief... I mean, all I thought was that he needed to be killed. I never thought of him as a person..." Seto said, sighing. "But now, after living with him and seeing him go through that... I don't know if I can actually continue my duty as a priest." Bakura held Kai on his lap. He didn't know if his son was aware of his sister's absence, and he didn't know how he might explain something like that to him when he was older.

Atem shrugged, dropping the subject. "So, have you figured anything out with your Millennium Eye? Akhenaden can't really give you an explanation, seeing as he's dead and all." "I don't know if I'll be able to even be in the palace, knowing that all I did before was wrong..." Seto said, sighing. He stopped the horse; they had reached the palace gates. He looked over his shoulder at Ayira. "Ready?" "Shh shh shh..." Bakura rocked Kek a little, bringing his gaze down on his son.

Seto nodded, and then decided to hell with walking. He rode the horse up until the palace doors, getting off and helping Ayira down. There were servants around who hadn't known of his visit a few days ago, and he ignored them as they stared and whispered. "Let's find the pharaoh first..." "Ah, that's good." Atem said, nodding "You know, they say that the bearer of the Millennium Eye gets a wish. Did you wish?" A young servant abruptly rushed up to the two of them, informing them that the priest Seto and Ayira had just returned. Atem looked surprised. "Really? Oh... well... We should go see them!" He said, looking towards Nanu.

Nanu was quiet for a moment. If she had a wish she knew what it would be. That they could marry and they everybody would just be happy. She followed atem along to findseto.
"ok" ayira said as they walked into the palace.

Seto silently prayed that all would go well, and moved along a hallway. Atem and Nanu approached them after a little bit. Seto stiffened slightly, then bowed down to the pharaoh. "Good afternoon, great pharaoh." Seto said, his voice returning to its normal polite tone when he spoke to the pharaoh. It was quite different from when he had come to get Ayira. Atem seemed a bit surprised at Seto's respect. He had expected his cousin to be hostile still. He remained on guard. He crossed his arms over his chest, trying to act cold. "Hello, Seto. What do you want here? I thought you had expressed yourself pretty well the other day when you said you wouldn't be staying here any more." He said, looking towards Ayira, as though to confirm what he just said. "What brings you back here so quickly?"

"I..." Seto stayed bowed down, staring at the floor and trying to concentrate. He squeezed his eyes shut and decided to just get it over with. "I saw the error of my ways, Atem. You had tried to apologize to me, and I was too stubborn to accept your apology. I realized that I cannot do anything on my own, great pharaoh, and that I need to remember my position. Not only as a priest but also as your relative. I cannot just turn my back on you." Atem's eyes widened a little more in surprise. He hadn't expected Seto to say anything like that. He decided to test his priest, and also because he was angry at Seto. "Oh, really now? Well, I'm afraid I cannot just accept your apology and then forget your betrayal that quickly. You will be given a low position, and will have to work hard to earn back my trust. If you do well, I will return you to your position as a priest. If not, I will have you killed."

Atem turned slightly to look at Nanu, then sighed. "Oh, right, who am I kidding? Of course I forgive you, Seto. I missed you. Where have you been, though?" He went over to his cousin, taking Seto by his shoulders and pulling him up so that he was standing. "Have you seen what I've been doing? I've screwed just about everything up. It's been terrible without you." Seto had stiffened at the pharaoh's previous plan, and stiffened even more when he was pulled up. He looked at Atem coldly for a minute, trying to figure out if the pharaoh was kidding around with him or not, then slowly relaxed. He glanced briefly at Nanu and then looked over at Ayira. Then he did a double take, looking back at Nanu, surprised. "Is she... a priestess now?"

"It's been a b***h finding someone who the Millennium Eye would accept." Atem whined, looking at Seto. "Your father's been the only one to wear it. I had no idea if there were any kinds of requirements for the person who was to have it, which eye, or anything like that. It sucked balls." Seto arched an eyebrow at the pharaoh's odd choice of words, then glanced over at Ayira. He suddenly remembered something. "Pharaoh, I know it's been only a few minutes since I got back, but I have a favor to ask of you." He said, looking down at his cousin. "There's a complete madman out in Egypt somewhere. The blonde who attacked Ayira previously. Do you remember him? Well, he attacked her again. I want to send out as many men as we can find to capture and then kill him. He is twisted and will probably cause harm to many others."
