She questions herself aloud but only above a whisper. The name did almost sound familiar. Almost. It could've been that Sadayo overheard the name in question or only a coincidental cluster of syllables that sounded of the likeness. Meeting this Theo just may just have wait until after the groups venture to Takumi. If he were to offer any pointers of these elements, Sadayo fears the amount of time to rest may bleed into her time to prepare to leave. By now, Nari had already excused himself from the group and disappeared."Actually, I may just take you up on this wu-wei offer." As she spoke, her tone sounded just certain enough to cover the tinge of uncertainty there was of what exactly was being agreed to. Sadayo looks over the head of Kyomei's staff, "if wind up working on ninjutsu again. If."
Her hand briskly motions to her bag as a sharp jab in the air. "I doubt the puppet in that scroll here will be able to do anything more than just flail. If anything I imagine i'd appear to be a host of a one-puppet show. We'll see. Now, I have an idea on where I should be looking for my puppet stuff." Sadayo leaps excitedly on her first step forward before fanning her hand to Kyomei. "C'mon."
Sadayo begins to retrace her steps to the doorway. Avoiding the activity of the other groups, she is careful to stop under the arching entryway. Sadayo leans forward. Her neck arced and her head was lifted slightly in an analytical sort. "Wild guess that what I'm looking for is through that doorway there." She says motioning into another direction and looking over her arm to see if Kyomei chose to follow. "Two- three doors from here. Anything on puppets." Sadayo anxiously bounces her knees a few times before breaking off in an unheeding sprint into the hallway.
Listen closely enough and Sadayo's monotone humming actually droned an obsessive beat: "puppets...puppets... puppets" into each room she'd lean into. To make a wild guess to check simply one random door wasn't enough for her. Sadayo skimmed for any clue that would suggest puppetry: ranging from obvious labels taped onto shelves to miscellaneous bits of metal bolts forgotten by earlier visitors. Her search led her to check two rooms before spying the words: "basic maneuvers" finely scrawled beside another store of stacked scrolls. Sadayo scurries in and eagerly collects the first handful of scrolls manageable. "This will get me started. It shouldn't take too long." She took a seat against a few steps away from the shelf.

As she read, her lips move along without sound: "The Puppetry Technique is conducted by threads, composed of one's chakra. "Sadayo places the scroll before her on the floor with it unrolled to the extent of what she's read. She felt that ability should become like second nature, even at the cost of chakra.
She hurries for the puppet scroll and opens it. A burst of smoke reveals the wooden puppet sitting lifeless in front of her. As the text describes, Sadayo begins to focus her chakra in her hands and attempts the lone seal to activate. She takes another breath as the little bursts of orange chakra tint the tips of her hands. The chakra glows as brightly as the sense of pride behind her smile. Before she ends up repeating the process of linking the strings to the puppet, she had taken a glance on the next item. A summoning item. This technique was unusual to her, based on her current assumptions about summoning, as the information didn't indicate the need for a scroll. The ability summons a single puppet. Right onto work then, she told herself and began reading over the remainder of the technique. [1/2]
The puppet was all ready here and she dared herself to set it somewhere and try to summon. She was leaning over the scroll, practicing the hand-seal without chakra to try to absorb it into memory. When she found herself feeling ready for a good try at it, Sadayo pushed the training puppet away a good arm's length, turned around and made use of her chakra. The puppet did appear as she expected. Projectiles within her puppets would become like her bread and butter in a battle. Simple tools: small shuriken, kunai, bolts, and certainly a few other sharp and pointy objects. Her current puppet appears to possess no compartments, no room for devices, and probably lacks elaborate mechanisms. The lack of room for weapons in the puppet was all the more motivating for her to look for better options. [1/2]
For now, it was worth while for Sadayo to read other the working of the technique. Her puppet would have to be dismissed, as the text describes, and she must be familiar with a set of hand-seals. The hand-seals weren't overly difficult to remember. Sadayo began to mimic the listed seals as she saw fit. [2/2]
The next ability Sadayo would choose sounded perfect for her craft. The Instant Movement Technique relies on the use of strings and permits an instantaneous leap along the strings. To begin practice, she places the puppet along the wall and backs up to the other side of the room. [1/2]
There wasn't too much of a distance, maybe twelve feet at the most between them. She was in was a small room. She would reconnect strings to the puppet and performs the required seal. After the third, quick, practice of forming the seal Sadayo applies chakra. As described, the movement amidst her strings was possible. Kyomei had chosen to confine herself away from both the white haired boy and Sadayo. She sat with legs crossed awaiting an eventful paging from either or. In the meantime her attitude in regards to further training herself hadn't changed for the day. She'd done enough for one day in her head and while there was always room to improve she was rightly convinced you can't improve on what could already be considered perfection. As she sat silent and complacent every now and then the chiming of a single bell rang in tandem with her breathing. The chiming of the bell was said to calm otherwise conflicted spirits having difficulty with their current state of existence. This may have just been rumor but the chimes continued nonetheless. Those curious of her location or the sound would have to look no further than to follow the rhythmic chimes.

A unfathomably powerful blast that could decimate an entire village if fired downward from the sky shoots forward. However, the beam inflicts no harm to anyone or any structure...unless it is a strange creature, impure of heart, tainted by evil, or wishes to do harm. The technique essentially, even then, does no damage, instead, it places a feeling of tranquility on all evil or violent intentions shutting them away briefly and crossing over any wayward spirits. The option for this technique to cause mass amounts of damage and destruction is possible but is considered Taboo in all accounts and doing so would destroy the weapon and make it's wielder unfit to ever wield another Keihatsu ever again. Even then, such is only achievable by tampering with the chanters rings discreetly carving [Shi] [Death] on each ring. Which no wielder could do themselves as it would make them unfit to wield the Keihatsu. This was only discovered when a former Keihatsu user asking for purity [Shin] to be engraved on the weapon by a blacksmith was accidently replaced with [Shi] the result was labeled in history as [The Black Tragedy]. While it's mark in history was minimal and the small settlement lost wasn't noteworthy the Keihatsu's capability of destruction was discovered that day and only the most heavily versed scholars are aware of it as even many who've unlocked the Keihatsu's abilities are unaware of this. Unfortunately devout historian's because of this are incredibly suspicious of all wielders of the Keihatsu.

It was a bright, sunny morning when a crackling force slammed into the roof of the academy and rushed down through stone, mortar, and steel to come to a thundering stop on the base floor, sending debris in all directions. Dust billowed out with enough force to shatter the windows within the entire building, cascading glass across passersby and student alike. Screams erupted from watchers and civilians as they bolted for cover, terror within movements and expressions as they feared the Bijuu had returned more. The crackling energy swirled about a central point, a ball of multicolored light that twisted, turned, and cracked with enthusiasm.
And with a final, resounding clang, the energy disappeared in a flash and a metallic, golden puzzlebox fell to the ground within the depths of the large, smoking crater that had remained. Anyone, and everyone, within the academy would be knocked to their feet from the sheer force and suddenness of the attack, though few, if any, would be truly harmed.
I love those who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection.

Kaori was watching everyone around her and was just relaxing, when the entire academy was shaken with the force of a massive explosion. She was ever thankful for her natural balance, and her cat-skeleton that afforded her more balance than a normal shinobi. It enabled her to turn a back hand spring and regain her feet where most would have fallen on their a**. Nova had used her own natural skills to keep her own balance. The massive female tiger roared out her displeasure even as Kaori went into full battle mode. She had her scythe free and resting in her hands in a single moment. She went through the academy and went about making sure that the ones in the academy were alive and well, then turned to the strange golden box in the massive crater that had been left behind after the bright lights. She glared at it, not quite ready to touch it yet, but she was thinking of creating a clone to get close, in case it was dangerous.
“The hell is going on? Can't we just have a little time without all hell breaking loose?” Kaori couldn't help but grumble under her breath, even as Nova edged closer to the box to get a better look at it. They were both aware of Nari being there, as well as a few others, but their main focus was not on their fellow Shinobi, but on trying to figure out what could have attacked.

This also gives her a boost in her jumping abilities, and in her evasion, though only marginal in those areas. • Increased Hearing: Being a tamer, her hearing is more acute than the average shinobi • Increased Smell: Being a tamer, her sense of smell is better than the average shinobi, but weaker than any tamer with a canine partner

With a skip back into the hallway Sadayo comes upon two things: Kyomei must have stayed put back in the previous area and the possibilities of just how to prepare to leave were leaning toward being limitless. Truth be told, the possibilities were anything but limited: a great sound then thunders through the building. Sadayo's initial thoughts were blanking and disorienting in the wake of a heaving force roughly shoving her person against a wall. The surging dust flowing into the hallway quickly muddies her senses.
Her arm hurt- the one that smacked the wall- but she was too absorbed in the want to breathe to notice. She wiggles her other arm into the jacket sleeve and pulls its cuff over her nose and mouth before picking herself back up. The ceiling above her wasn't showing signs of giving way, however, elsewhere she couldn't be sure of what has been extensively damaged. Shuffling forward, Sadayo cautiously monitors the state of the ceiling. She had heard the clanging sound (but vaguely noticed the final flash) and wormed her way to stand back outside the room it came from. A muffled gasp broke out, before she started to choke on dust, at sight of the aftermath. "W-wha-aht?" She announces and rounds off her cough."Wh-aht happened?"
A thought of Kyomei and their white-haired instructor who departed for the roof crosses her. "Ky-oumei?!" She calls, catching her breath behind her sleeve.
With her legs firmly crossed and in a sitting position when the aforementioned impact sent out it's resonating shockwaves Kyomei was met with just a brief moment's discomfort after finding herself being lifted up slightly only to meet the surface of the ground shortly after on her haunches. Needless to say her meditation was disrupted by the sheer booming echo that was the sound from the impact. The spirits which danced happily to the chimes of the bell dispersed back to whence they came. Attempting to stand her legs were shaky as if having been on a boat for for several days. It was then she heard her name. It sounded like Sadayo or some female. Finally assuring her footing she began to walk towards where she had heard the voice only to see the dust the impact had caused.
Placing one of her sleeves towards her mouth she moved towards what she could have only assumed to be Sadayo in the cloud. "Bara bara. The great and bowerful Byomei would not bissuaded by such an bunexpected bircumstance. She is the binnacle of health in bhat bould make an immortal bealous." Sadayo could take comfort in the fact the small girl would be fine aside from a bruised buttock which could be noticed only due to her other hand rubbing her rear. The mystery of the meteorite would remain a mystery as Kyomei herself seemed more distracted by the pain in her haunch and Sadayo for now. "How, about bou?"

So his beloved was finally spreading her wings. Part of him was quite proud of her for wanting to take care of this on her own, while the other wished he could be there with her. Despite that, he tucked the letter away into his robes and returned his attention to the heavens as he always did. Though it was that moment when he realized there was something different this time. Like the giant meteor screaming straight for him. Reflexively, Nari quickly formed a seal and his body exploded in a puff of sand.
Reappearing down the the ground floor Nari opened his mouth to speak but was only to get,"IN-" Before the meteor slammed into the building cleaving waves of destruction through each floor on its way to the ground floor. Just before it impacted Nari knew there was no way he was going to escape this blast, so he had to endure it. Pumping extra chakra into his bones to reinforce them he watched as everything before him turned white. With his sight gone all he could do was relax as he felt himself be thrown through one wall and into another. Slumping to the ground he could hear nothing, see nothing, and feel nothing but the streaks of blood which now poured from a couple of gashes on his arms and chest. Though none of them were serious thanks to the thick layer of bone he had created. He still had no clue what in the hell was going on though. It was also at that moment when the wall of white that was his sight slowly faded to blackness.

Kaori and Nova heard the sound of others talking, if they were talking, they could take care of themselves, as far as she was concerned, especially since there were no sounds of pain or cries for help. Deep within the crater the small box began to click and whirr, the sounds echoing off of the cold stone with a strange metallic quality, almost as if coming from a speaker. Yet as it whirred the stone around it rumbled and twitched, as if something were coming out of the ground. Yet several moments passed, and it slowed to a standstill, with the box still innocently remaining where it was, the sounds still softly resonating from within its structure.
Around the room everything made of glass and crystal resonated with a shrieking level of sound, waves of the strange noise bursting forth from the box to shatter them into pieces. This would harm anything made of glass, from personal glasses and bottles to windows and weapons. It would shatter, fall to the ground in a chorus of screams, before falling silent once more.
