Thank you everyone ^.^! *Big huuuug to you all* ^____^
@ Taylor: Photoshop is certainly nice to use just because it has the layer system ^_^ I use alot of other features too like the burn and sponge tools *Hugs them* and smudge is my friend XD lol
And like Meri has said before, PS is like having the batmobile just to go the the super market ^_^;; I think there are a few other programs that have a layering system and are really affordable <3 I'm not sure what the names of them would be though XD;;;
Yep, not neccessary Photoshop. There is GIMP and Pixia...wait a minute...does Pixia has layers? not sure...
gonk Meave forgot, seldom use.
Well, Meriko's right about Photoshop in one way, but why drive a lemon that may or may not work when you can always have the Batmobile at your disposal?
If you're serious about learning graphic arts and CG, go with the tool everyone uses--just bite it and learn Photoshop. It's the industry standard. If you're looking for "light" versions, there's always the lower end versions, or limited editions of PS that do just as well, like Photoshop Elements (which also does layers), and it's significantly more affordable. (Or just
pirate it like everyone else.) I'm sure there's others that do a decent job, but Photoshop is King, baby. I've been using it for 10 years now and I wouldn't dare touch anything else...
